The destination of this research is to knowing about fungtion of Javanese language studying from two sides: 1) purpose and fungsion from Javanese language studying as a local subject for class IV at Al-kautsar elementary school Yogyakarta, 2) realization of Javanese language studying as a local subject for class IV at Al-kautsar elementary school Yogyakarta. The type of this research is qualitative research with descriptive analysis method. The technique of collecting data are interview, observation, and documents collection. Codification, presentation, and withdrawal of conclusions or verifications. This research used a triangulation technique for checking the validity of the findings. There are two conclusion from this research: 1) the direction or purpose and function of learning Javanese language class IV in MI Plus Al-kautsar doesn’t going well as a DIY governor regulation number 64 of 2013. 2) the implementation of class IV Javanese language learning in MI Plus Al-kautsar for its curriculum has followed the 2013 curriculum. In Javanese language leraning, the meeting time is only two hours in a week, and it’s was utilized as much as possible by Mrs. Muthi as a Javanese language teacher. In the learning process, she not only conveys the material, but she also provides motivation to students, inviting them to talk about their experiences in accordance with the theme under discussion, and by this method the students being active in the study. Delivery of motivation is done at the beginning of learning and at the end of learning, while for the evaluation or assessment of learning she only uses written assessment technique.

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of good school governance on the effectiveness of the management of elementary school operational assistance. The method used is descriptive analysis method with a quantitative approach. The sample used saturated samples by showing all treasurers of primary school operational assistance as many as 48 people, data collected by questionnaire techniques while data analysis used multiple linear regression techniques. The results showed that participation had a positive and significant effect on the effectiveness of the management of school operational assistance, transparency had a positive and significant effect on the effectiveness of the management of school operational assistance, while accountability separately did not have a positive and significant effect on the effectiveness of the management of school operational assistance but together participation, transparency and accountability have a positive and significant effect on the effectiveness of managing school operational assistance.

This study was motivated by the problem of mastering Arabic in the Faculty of Islamic studies (FAI), Islamic university of Riau (UIR). This problem focused on the students’ quality and learning interest of FAI UIR on language mastery, both Arabic and English. This foreign language or second language mastery program such as Arabic or English is made in the form of language classes. Language classes are initially unattended by a special institution such as a language center now under the supervision of the FAI UIR language center, the forerunner of the UIR language center called CELAD (Center for Languages ​​and Academic Development). Formulation The problem of this research is how the implementation of Arabic learning and the influence of the Arabic language class on the mastery of student learning in the Faculty of Islamic Studies UIR. The purpose of this study was to find out the implementation of Arabic learning and the influence of the Arabic language class on the mastery of student learning in the Faculty of Islamic studies. The type of this research is descriptive as well as qualitiative and quantitative research. The literature review used is language learning, the influence of the Arabic language class, and vocabulary mastery (al-mufradat). Then based on the results of the study using quantitative descriptive analysis, it found that the implementation of Arabic learning and the influence of the Arabic class on students’ vocabulary mastery of FAI UIR can be said to be "good".

The purpose of this study is to find the needs of task-based model syllabus for Arabic language learning in Nursing Academy at As-Syafi'yah Islamic University in Jakarta. Currently, most of the specific language syllabus does not fulfil the student needs and its content that is the language used is very general and did not really based on the needs of students. The study analyses the student needs using descriptive analysis method. While the data will be collected from document, questionnaire, and interview. Then, the data analysed will be validated by expert of qualitative technique. There are three steps of process will go through, namely data reduction, data display, and taking conclusion. The result of study shows that task-based model of Arabic nursing sylabus which is refered to Indonesia's national qualification framework is proper and decent to be used as the guidance of Arabic teaching and learning process at Nursing Academy of As-Syafi'yah Islamic University Jakarta.

The problem of poverty in Indonesia is still unresolved to date. Related to the problem of poverty, ideas emerge in an effort to alleviate poverty that focuses on empowerment, entrepreneurship and deacons. These three ideas of thought can lead to dangers, including: empowerment and entrepreneurship can trigger the spirit of capitalism which can lead to greed and high egocentrism. Whereas deacons can make people keep silent without the effort to move out of poverty. So that the three concepts of poverty alleviation do not fall into this danger, it is necessary to provide a basis for thinking about the theology of ownership and the function of wealth. One of the books that could provide a prospect for rationale is the book of Luke. The book of Luke leaves ample room for discussion of the theology of property and function of wealth. In this paper, the author uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis method. The result of this research is that the book of Luke contributes thoughts about the theology of ownership and the function of wealth. His contribution is that in Luke's writings there is a systemic pattern that was born from the theology of property and function of wealth. This systemic pattern can contribute to the idea that the church can create a poverty alleviation system that not only works on an individualistic level, but also has a communal dimension that involves poor and rich people in order to create a community without social disparities.

Language is the main characteristic that distinguishes humans from other creatures, with that language interacting and communicating. One theory of language acquisition and learning regarding language as a human trait is the generative transformative theory Noam Chomsky states that language is the innate potential possessed by humans from birth. Based on the theory, this study aims to analyze the innate potential of human language as a reference in the development of Arabic language learning, taking into account the innate potential of the language that is already possessed by students. It is expected that the potential of the language can be utilized and developed optimally in the process of learning Arabic. his study uses descriptive analysis method, and the conclusions obtained based on this research are curriculum design in Arabic language learning based on Chomsky Innate theory, namely students do not have to be given intensive training, students are given a broad opportunity to create speeches, the rules are given as long as it is needed, students are deployed to real situations in the communication process. Abstrak Bahasa merupakan ciri utama yang membedakan manusia dengan makhluk lainnya, dengan bahasa manusia berinteraksi dan berkomunikasi. Salah satu teori pemerolehan dan pembelajaran bahasa yang berkenaan bahasa sebagai ciri bawaan manusia adalah teori transformatif generatifnya Noam Chomsky yang menyatakan bahwa bahasa merupakan potensi bawaan yang dimiliki manusia sejak lahir. Berdasarkan teori tersebut penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis potensi bawaan bahasa manusia sebagai acuan dalam  pengembangan pembelajaran bahasa Arab, dengan memperhatikan potensi bawaan bahasa yang sudah dimiliki oleh peserta didik diharapkan potensi bahasa tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan dan dikembangkan secara optimal dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif, dan kesimpulan yang didapatkan berdasarkan penelitian ini berupa desain kurikulum pembelajaran bahasa Arab berdasarkan teori Innate Chomsky yaitu peserta didik tidak harus selalu diberi latihan (drill) secara intensif, siswa diberi kesempatan yang luas untuk mengkreasikan ujaran, kaidah nahwu diberikan selama hal tersebut diperlukan, siswa diterjunkan kedalam situasi nyata dalam proses komunikasi. Abstract: Chaedar Alwasilah is a scholar who often voiced the importance of writing. He proposed two terms as an implication of discourse studies, the literacy literacy approach and the genre-based approach. This is the main point in writing this article, whether these two terms have the same or different implications in language learning. By using descriptive analysis method, the author tries to connect the two terms with Arabic learning. The results show that literacy and genre based approach are different. However, these two terms have the same intentions, such as the emphasis on the importance of writing skills. In relation to Arabic, although the term literacy approach is less well known, this article shows that the concept has also existed in Arabic learning. Keywords: Chaedar Alwasilah, Literacy Approach, Genre-Based Approach

Competence is skills that are closely related to the effectiveness of person’s performance in a particular field. Similarly in education, competence is the key to student success, and also the great competence of the majors chosen by the students will lead to increased quality of majors. Arabic Language Education Department in IAIN Kendari is a department that prepares students to become educators and scientists in Arabic language which has competence in Arabic were nice and had a high competitiveness. This research uses descriptive analysis method with qualitative approach based on case study design. The data collection is done by in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and open questionnaire. The results showed (1) a strategy to increase student competence in Arabic language on Arabic language education department at IAIN Kendari still ineffective that was described by least of activities that support the increased student’s competence in Arabic language and also its lack of consistency in implementing additional programs for students of Arabic language education department (2) the helping and resistoring factors to increase student’s competence contained on lecturer’s performance in the classroom, facilities of language learning, and student’s motivation. lecturer’s performance in the classroom has given many help to increase student’s competence in Arabic, facilities to assist in learning the Arabic language still needs to be cared and activated again or making the new and interesting activities, and student’s motivation in the study of Arabic is still lacking is due to the absence of another place for practicing the Arabic language competencies that they have acquired, and also the lack of student’s interest in attention of learning at the classroom caused by the bored atmosphere of the class (3) the problem solving by formulating a strategy based on suggestions and feedback from lecturers and students in Arabic language education department is a path that can be taken by Arabic language education department in IAIN Kendari to improve student’s competence in Arabic language.

This research focuses on the analysis of using Google Classroom, Zoom and YouTube as social media applications to learning English. The objective of this research is to know the role of social media (Zoom, Google Classroom and YouTube) for the student’s learning achievement at SMA Islam As-Syafi’iyah 01. This research used the descriptive analysis method. The data of this research are questions given to the students using google form and collecting their final score from the English teacher. Then, the result of this research; Most of students (57 % of 100 samples) using their gadgets more than three hours per day. The observation found 96% of 100 population and from questionnaire got 70% are always and 19% are usually using social media for learning. 79,7% of students said that Google Classroom, Zoom and YouTube are popular and easy to use in language learning. Based on the questionnaire researchers found 53% are always and 30% are usually agreed when they must study using Google Classroom, Zoom and YouTube. Researchers found that 18% of the population are always and the other 48% are usually got good final scores during online learning using social media. More ever using social media, make students have appropriate platform to study in pandemic era and also can improve their achievement using social media at once.

Education in Indonesia is still relatively low, because students have not been able to face the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0. There needs to be an educational concept that is able to answer the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0, one of which is STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics). This study aims to analyze the potential of STEAM contained in the Teacher's Book and Student's Book Theme 1-9 Revised 2017 grade IV Elementary School. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with the object of research directed to find out the potential of STEAM contained in the 2017 Revised Teacher's Book and Student's Book for Grade IV Elementary School. Data obtained from secondary data in the form of Teacher's Books and Revised 2017 Student Books for Class IV Elementary Schools that have been analyzed. The data collection method used the documentation analysis method so that the researchers analyzed the Theme Books 1-9 Class IV Elementary School. The data analysis method used is the Miles and Huberman model starting with data collection, data presentation, data reduction, and drawing conclusions and verification. The results show that there are facts that have STEAM potential and facts that have STEAM potential with an average of 80% of STEAM potential from the number of lessons in Themes 1-9. So, the results of the analysis of the 2017 Revised Teacher's Book and Theme Book for Grade IV Elementary School have the potential for STEAM. However, there are some learnings that do not have STEAM facts, so the learning does not have STEAM potential.

Tulisan ini membahas perkembangan tepak kendang jaipongan karya Suwanda dilihat dari kontinuitas dan perubahannya terutama yang terjadi dalam masyarakat urban. Metode deskriptif analisis dengan pendekatan sejarah digunakan untuk mengungkap berbagai fenomena tepak kendang jaipongan, yaitu hadirnya notasi yang dibuat oleh para pengendang dan perubahan tepak kendang jaipongan dalam struktur, tempo, dinamika, embat, motif, serta fungsi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa tepak kendang jaipongan karya Suwanda pada perkembangannya ditanggapi secara kreatif oleh para pengendang melalui kreativitasnya. Oleh karena itu, terdapat perbedaan motif tepak kendang antara hasil rekaman Suwanda di dalam kaset dengan fakta di lapangan ketika digunakan oleh para pengendang. Hal ini menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan dan kepunahan beragam tepak kendang jaipongan karya Suwanda di masyarakat.The Development and Changes of Suwanda’s Tepak Kendang Jaipongan in UrbanSociety. This paper discusses the development of Suwanda’s tepak kendang jaipongan,drumming strokes of jaipongan, seen from its continuity and changes, particularly forwhat has been found in urban society. The descriptive analysis method with historicalapproach is used to explore any various kind of phenomenon of drumming strokes ofjaipongan, among others are the presence of jaipongan notation created by the drummersas well as the changes in the structure of drumming strokes of jaipongan, tempo,dynamics, embat, motifs, and function. Based on the analysis it can be concluded that theSuwanda’s drumming strokes of jaipongan in its progress has been creatively respondedby the drummers through their creativity. Therefore, there is a significant differencebetween the motives of Suwanda’s drumming strokes recorded on tape with the facts oflive performance when they are used by the drummers. This led to the change and the extinction of various Suwanda’s jaipongan drumming strokes in the community.
