In the current postmodern era, the internet has transformed into a cutting-edge weapon in various sectors, ranging from industry, art, economy and others. The internet has always played a vital role in maximizing these various sectors. However, what is the real reality in the world of education? Has the internet been fully utilized? Departing from these worries, this research aims to reveal the real reality of the use of the internet at the tertiary level, especially as a medium for learning history. This research itself uses a descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation, and document analysis. The interview form used is open and leads to depth of information and is not formal / structured. The goal is to explore the information that is researched further, complete, and in depth. Data analysis in the study took place simultaneously with the data collection process. Among them through data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results showed that in 21st century learning, the internet has an important role if teachers can maximize its use, because with the internet students are able to dig deeper into existing information, especially now that there are so many historical journal portals that are opened online and accessed for free. Furthermore, the use of the internet can also be applied in a learning system, for example by using blended learning

This paper outlines the results of a two month study in which a series of extremist Islamist websites - registered, hosted or given datacentre services by Canadian internet companies- were empirically observed. The results of this project are inserted into a framework which explores the misuse and wrongful application of the "terrorist" signifier to substate or nonstate activities, discerns between the purported use of the internet by extremist Islamist organizations for destructive means and the real use of the internet by such groups, and suggests a number of conclusions based on prior administrative responses to the extremist Islamist use of the internet. This case study examined the effectiveness and significance of the Internet and interactive video broadcasting as instructional and communication media in a global virtual learning system. The study explored how differences in students’ technology experiences, curriculum, cultures, and access to technology influence learning and student attitude in a technology-based distance education environment. The research also investigated whether the use of online references and materials is adequate and appropriate for successful distance learning. The setting was a virtual campus that linked universities in the U.S., Australia, and Canada with learning centers in different African countries. E-mail and face-to-face interviews, observations, and Web-based surveys were utilized to collect the data. The study reveals that students had mixed perceptions about the effectiveness of technology, with positive attitudes exhibited towards interactive video and some anxiety and dissatisfaction with the use of the Internet.

Psycholinguists grapple with an ever-increasing list of control variables, in addition to any that are of theoretical interest. Some variables are subjective constructs like familiarity, concreteness, and semantic or affective connotations. Historically researchers approached these by having participants come to a laboratory and provide ratings for each stimulus, but the use of the Internet in data collection has increased in recent years and is likely to continue doing so. In the context of stimulus norms, the equivalence of lab-based and Internet methodologies has not been extensively examined. We discuss some of the pros and cons of online stimulus norming and touch on several issues to consider. We also highlight some important differences between norms obtained online and those obtained in-person.

In the world of education the utilization of information technology is something that must be implemented, one of which is the use of the internet which can be used as a medium for disseminating information. Informatic Study Program of Sumbawa University of Technology is a study program that has graduated many alumni, but so far there is no portal that can manage information regarding the whereabouts of its alumni. This causes the study program difficulties in getting the latest information of the alumni when needed. Therefore, in this research a website-based alumni information system was designed which aims to facilitate the Informatic Study Program of Sumbawa University of Technology in managing and searching for information related to alumni data. In building this system researchers used the PHP programming language with CodeIgniter Framework and MySQL as the database. Then for the development of this software is using Waterfall model. It is hoped that when this system is implemented it can be used by study programs and alumni in managing alumni information, making it easier and faster to conduct data collection and reporting of existing alumni data.

Through the advent of digital information, information security has taken on a vital role. Use of the internet freely for contact has increased the attacks on users. Data protection is the present problem relating to privacy and security during storage and communication. This paper deals with a multilayered protected channel's proposal to transfer confidential data/video through a channel. The hidden video is initially encrypted using the algorithm NOLSB. The created cipher video is hidden in a larger sized video file. In addition, this video file is encrypted using the (m, k) firm technique to optimize resource efficiency and bandwidth optimization. Video shares are then sent through all the network's channels to ensure security. This approach ensures that video files could be retrieved at the end receiver even though any shares were lost over the network, without the sender needing to resend the video file.

ABSTRACTThis article presents the methodology used in a population-based study of early communicative development in Norwegian children using an adaptation of the MacArthur-Bates communicative development inventories (CDI), comprising approximately 6500 children aged between 0 ; 8 and 3 ; 0. To our knowledge, this is the first CDI study collecting data via the Internet. After a short description of the procedures used in adapting the CDI to Norwegian and the selection of participants, we discuss the advantages and potential pitfalls of using web-based forms as a method of data collection. We found that use of web-based forms was far less time-consuming, and therefore also far less expensive than the traditional paper-based forms. The risk of coding errors was virtually eliminated with this method. We conclude that in a society with high access to the Internet, this is a method well worth pursuing.
