The main direction of development of steel building structures is to reduce the cost of implementation of buildings without changing their load-bearing capacity and value in use. Therefore, an essential factor in the development is the introduction of modern technologies. Solutions from other industries such as automotive or aerospace, have been adapted to perform building structures. As a result, today in the construction industry we use lightweight steel profiles from cold-bent elements. Modern technology and advanced calculation theory make it possible to build these structures much more economically than previous conventional systems. Elements and products made of thin sheets allow to reduce costs of construction, but at the same time is associated with the possibility of defects resulting in the appearance of a state of failure of structural elements or the entire facility. Connection zones of thin-walled elements are always the critical points, hence the need for a particularly thorough assessment at the design stage, and then at the implementation of the investment. Correct application of the presented calculation procedure in article will allow the design and realization of modern structures, which will be durable and safe in operation for the expected period of time.

The article deals with roof building structures that allow the use of solar energy in the segment of family houses. Modern technologies include photovoltaic roofing, which, in addition to the production of electricity, also fully replaces the roofing itself. It does not disturb the resulting aesthetic and architectural impression of the roof. The article analyzes the cost, return on investment and service life of four solar solutions that are applied to the roof structure of a family house. The use of solar energy is currently small in the segment of family houses in Slovakia despite state subsidies. As this is an ecological way of obtaining energy, there is a need for more discussion on this topic in order to ensure the sustainability of the planet.

The task of improving the buildings energy efficiency is one of the most important tasks in the design of buildings. The buildings energy efficiency can be improved by rational choice of building structures and reduction of the heat transfer. Significant heat transfer of a building occurs through the windows. At the design stage of a building, it is necessary to estimate the magnitude of a heat transfer of different windows. Currently the designers are increasingly using the technology of building information modeling (BIM). 3D-model of the building consists of models of structural elements, which contain information about the different geometric, physical, technological and other characteristics of the structure. The aim of this work is to develop a parametric information model of the window taking into account its heat transfer resistance. In this paper the design of window units with one, two and three sashes are discussed. The value of window-reduced resistance to a heat transfer is calculated inside the window information model and is presented in the table. The method can be applied to different window design. Thermophysical parameter of the window information model can be used to assess the energy costs of operating the building.

Perbesaran lentur pada kolom 18 (C18) ketika nilai =3 sebesar 52,47%.Kata kunci: koefisien modifikasi respon (), daktilitas, pembesaran gaya dalam ABSTRACTPlanning an elastic building structure makes the dimensions and designed structures larger and it can increases the cost of the construction itself. The building structures must be designed with a certain concept so, that the building can withstand the loads efficiently. A structure planning using the response modification coefficient () is to plan the building to experience a process of plasticization of the structural elements during an earthquake. This study compares the building structure model of a steel frame consisting of 10 floors, with variation in the modification coefficient of response () from =3; 3,5; 4,5; 5; 6; 7; until 8. The seven models are also analysed according to the seismic force retaining system.  The analysis in this study using the ETABS2015 program. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the smaller the value of the  response modification coefficient used will affects the bending ratio that occurs. The flexural force when the value of =3 in column 18 (C18) is 52.47%.Keywords: response modification coeffient, ductility, inner force enlargement

The article discusses the issues of construction objects pricing in terms of the formation of certain types of costs and an analysis of their interrelationships based on the generated data bank of design and estimate documentation of implemented state investment construction projects. Special attention is paid to the research of the impact of changes in design solutions on the cost of construction. Approaches to the reorganization of the established design technology are proposed. These approaches use automated identification of construction work and structural elements based on the method for assigning criteria for the selection of building structures that are supposed to be erected around the technological space specified by the customer. The selection criteria established in this way assist designers in finding optimal design solutions for the subsequent development of working documentation.

The problems of definition of the cost of design in construction are considered in the article. The existing regulatory documentation for determining the value of construction products on the territory of the Russian Federation is analyzed. A comparative analysis of the currently used methods for calculating the cost of designing is executed. The advantages and disadvantages of each method are considered, and the necessity of transformations in the sphere of determining the cost of design works is substantiated. The ways of increasing accuracy of calculation of the cost of design in construction are suggested, including the use of the territorial coefficient in calculations when utilizing the method of dependence on the natural indicators of the design objects. It is revealed that the use of this coefficient significantly increases the accuracy of calculations. For the method of calculating the cost of design as a percentage of the total cost of construction, it is proposed to clarify the methodology for calculating the cost of construction of multi-apartment buildings according to the enlarged construction price standards. It is proved that today it is impossible to replace the value of individual structural elements of an object in the event of differences in the design solutions with the solutions represented by similar objects in the collection of the construction price standards. The ways of solving these issues by the use of collections of standards for the price of construction solutions are outlined. The authors are convinced that the improvement of methods for calculating the cost of design products will improve the efficiency of investments in the construction industry.

Modern technologies, which provide fast and accurate acquisition of high-resolution spatial data, have found widespread application in the monitoring of coastal processes. This paper reports the results of four years’ monitoring of a huge deflation/blowout/wind-scour basin dynamics at the Vistula Spit (southeast coast of the Baltic Sea). Information about the volume and size dynamics together with deflation/accumulation schemes and 3D elevation maps is presented. Basing on the obtained results, forecast of the deflation basin dynamics for 2016 was proposed. This paper implements the Terrestrial Laserscanning (TLS) method to the coastal processes investigation and demonstrates its high potential in this field.

AbstractDe-manufacturing and re-manufacturing are fundamental technical solutions to efficiently recover value from post-use products. Disassembly in one of the most complex activities in de-manufacturing because i) the more manual it is the higher is its cost, ii) disassembly times are variable due to uncertainty of conditions of products reaching their EoL, and iii) because it is necessary to know which components to disassemble to balance the cost of disassembly. The paper proposes a methodology that finds ways of applications: it can be applied at the design stage to detect space for product design improvements, and it also represents a baseline from organizations approaching de-manufacturing for the first time. The methodology consists of four main steps, in which firstly targets components are identified, according to their environmental impact; secondly their disassembly sequence is qualitatively evaluated, and successively it is quantitatively determined via disassembly times, predicting also the status of the component at their End of Life. The aim of the methodology is reached at the fourth phase when alternative, eco-friendlier End of Life strategies are proposed, verified, and chosen.
