Respiratory diseases are a serious health problem due to their wide prevalence, not always adequate treatment, sufficiently high probability of developing complications, and frequent formation of disability. One of the important tasks of the development of rehabilitation medicine in the resorts of Russia is to improve programs for the recovery treatment and prevention of respiratory diseases. The spread around the world of a new coronavirus infection, with the most frequent lung damage, has set a new task – the rehabilitation of patients who have suffered pneumonia caused by COVID-19. It is necessary to develop regional standards for sanatorium-resort medical rehabilitation, which made it possible to rationally use the recreational potential of the coastal climatic resorts of Crimea for patients with various respiratory diseases.

Coronavirus infection causes lung damage and leads to the development of disabling conditions. The development of the Covid-19 pandemic leads to a one-stage increase in the number of patients who need assistance not only from infectious disease specialists and intensive care specialists, but also from rehabilitation specialists. However, patients suffering from other non-infectious conditions need rehabilitation despite the pandemic. Thus, rehabilitation specialists are faced with new tasks to organize rehabilitation in the epidemic for both patients with Covid-19 and patients at high risk of infection, but without coronavirus infection, to develop specific programs for pulmonary rehabilitation, data collection on the nature of disability, organization of outpatient programs and telerehabilitation.

Introduction. Patients with transferred a new coronavirus infection, as a rule need in a rehabilitation. It is necessary to develop clinical recommendations for this group of patients. Medical rehabilitation during the COVID-19 pandemic should include all components of rehabilitation measures aimed at rapid recovery of vital body functions, improving the quality of life of patients and preventing complications. The aim of study is to identify the most effective methods of rehabilitation of patients with lung damage of varying severity caused by a new coronavirus infection. Assessment of rehabilitation potential depending on age, gender, and severity of lung tissue damage. Materials and methods. The article describes the experience of rehabilitation and rehabilitation treatment of 40 patients after acute infection caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which was carried out on the basis of the neurological occupational pathology Department of the Burnazyan State Medical Center. Results. To determine the volume of rehabilitation treatment, each patient was tested using special scales and questionnaires that allow assessing the patient's somatic status, physical activity tolerance, cognitive functions, and the presence of affective disorders. Testing was performed at the patient's admission to the hospital and on the 12th day, which helped to assess the dynamics of recovery. To achieve the maximum effect of the work done, we have organized an individual comprehensive multidisciplinary approach to each patient, including a group of specialists, such as a therapist, pulmonologist, neurologist, rehabilitologist, physiotherapist, psychologist, physical therapy instructor. Against the background of rehabilitation and rehabilitation treatment, there was a positive dynamics in the condition of patients, in the form of an increase in tolerance to physical activity according to scales, questionnaires, and functional tests in 95%, improvement in saturation indicators in 90%, and affective disorders were completely corrected in 85% of patients. Subjectively, 100% of patients report an improvement in their health status. Conclusions. Thus, despite the timely treatment received in the acute period of the disease, a very important stage in the treatment of patients is rehabilitation in the long-term period.

Covid-19 infection is a challenge for the medical system. The development of programs and strategies for the rehabilitation of people in different stages of the disease is relevant and current. The study is a bibliographic synthesis that aimed to analyze the methods and strategies of medical rehabilitation of patients with the new “coronavirus infection”. Data were collected from the academic databases PubMed, PubMed Central, Google, collecting relevant articles from 2019-2021, using the keywords: [“Covid-19” or “Covid 19” or “2019- CoV” or “SARS- CoV” or“ new coronavirus” or “SARS-CoV-2”] and [“rehabilitation ”or“ physical medicine”]. Th e aim of the study was to estimate the consequences of COVID-19 and to identify methods of recovery treatment. Because Covid-19 severely affects the respiratory system, pulmonary rehabilitation interventions with respiratory techniques and postural drainage combined with other physiotherapeutic methods may be used for a patient with COVID-19. The wide range of clinical manifestations in COVID-19 reveals the importance of adapting the rehabilitation program to functional deficits and patient needs. Multifactorial programs combined with active and supportive methods (physical therapy, exercise, occupational therapy, reflex therapy) are effective and can be used in the complex care of patients with COVID-19 at all stages of treatment.

At present, the continuing spread of a new coronavirus infection, COVID‑19, remains a serious problem in the world. The World Health Organization announced the COVID‑19 pandemic on 11.03.2020. The causative agent of the disease is SARS-CoV‑2, a single- stranded (+) RNA virus from the genus of beta-coronaviruses. Activation of the complement system, including the C5а component, is involved in the development of acute inflammatory process in the lungs caused by pathogenic viruses. Preclinical studies have revealed the fact of excessive activation of the complement system in coronavirus infection. Eculizumab completely inhibits the C5‑mediated activity of the terminal complement complex that suggests its effectiveness in the treatment of lung damage, severe pneumonia, and acute respiratory distress syndrome in COVID‑19 patients. Clinical cases of eculizumab effective use in patients with COVID‑19, starting from the first days of treatment, are presented. Currently, clinical studies of the efficacy and safety of eculizumab, as well as similar complement-blocking drug in the treatment of patients with a new coronavirus infection have been approved.

New Coronavirus Disease (SARS-CoV-2) is responsible for the severe acute respiratory syndrome. Appeared in Wuhan, China, in December 2019, it affects more than 188 countries around the world to date. Africa is not spared by this pandemic (COVID-19), which is on the rise. Tuberculosis (TB), a disease endemic in Africa with a fatality of 1.5 million people per year , like COVID-19, is transmitted mainly by the respiratory route and affects the lungs[1,2]. In the literature, few studies have demonstrated the association and interactions between these two pathologies. However, the fragmented data reveal that tuberculosis with pulmonary localization must be considered as a potential risk factor for aggravation or complication of the disease. COVID-19, especially since the lung damage is significant, therefore In the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, we must not forget to suspect and appropriately manage tuberculosis [2]. We report here the case of 3 patients who presented with COVID-19-Tuberculosis co-infection, treated at the level of the Epidemic Treatment Center (CTE) of the Thiès regional hospital in Senegal and whose evolution is favorable under early and adequate treatment.

Relevance. At the end of 2019, an outbreak of a new coronavirus infection occurred in the People's Republic of China with an epicenter in Wuhan. On February 11, 2020, the World Health Organization assigned the infection its official name -COVID-19 («Coronavirus disease 2019»), and the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses on February 11, 2020 assigned the official name to the causative agent - SARS-CoV-2. The study is relevant due to the fact that the disease quickly spread around the planet with the active drift of the pathogen into the territory of the Russian Federation. As of 11/26/2020, worldwide 60 million 894 thousand people were infected with COVID-19, 1 million 430 thousand died, 42 million 90 thousand people recovered.Intention. Analysis of publications on the epidemiological spread of COVID-19 for the purpose of effective medical and psychological support during dynamic monitoring of the disease, and also for epidemiological well-being.Methodology. Scientific publications from domestic and foreign databases were analyzed. Results and Discussion. The global and rapid spread of COVID-19 disease has had a huge impact on all healthcare sectors around the world and has expanded the existing understanding of the nature of the course of this disease, and greatly facilitated the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of new coronavirus infection. The paper discusses the main issues of epidemiology, laboratory diagnostics and prevention of COVID-19, which are currently relevant. In the future, the massive use of vaccines against the new coronavirus will help create population immunity and protect the population from this disease, but today the issue has not yet been resolved, although it should be resolved in the near future.Conclusion. The issues of epidemiology and laboratory diagnostics of COVID-19 have not yet been finally resolved. The measures taken in Russia to prevent the import of HV are undoubtedly important and adequate to the current situation. At the same time, they cannot completely prevent cases of virus spreading (by those in the incubation period of COVID-19, or those with latent and hidden disease), which can lead to probable epidemiological problems in the future.

Doctors are currently observing an increase in the incidence of measles in Moscow and other cities in Russia and all over the world. Such an increase is primarily caused by parent's refusal to accept vaccination for their children. We have reviewed the main issues related to this acute infectious disease, analyzed the epidemiological situation in different countries (including Russia), and presented the main preventive measure, which is vaccination. In addition to that, some authors reported various types of exanthema, including measles-like, in patients with coronavirus infection, which is widespread now. The aim of this article is to draw the attention of practitioners to the typical initial and main clinical symptoms of measles, stages of rash, specific disease characteristics in patients of different ages, and complications. We have provided a rationale for a new treatment regimen for measles that includes a recombinant α-interferon (Viferon) and an immunomodulator with antiviral action (inosine pranobex; Groprinosin) Key words: measles, children, incidence, clinical forms, complications, treatment and prevention, inosine pranobex (Groprinosin)

The pandemic of the novel coronavirus infection has posed additional challenges for endoscopy services. Endoscopy departments face a high risk of spreading airborne respiratory diseases in their daily work. This is especially true for endoscopic departments and offices that perform bronchoscopic examinations. The world scientific community recognizes the highest epidemiological risk of personnel infection during any interventional manipulations and operations related to the respiratory system, including bronchoscopic interventions.
