Backgrounds: Helicobacter Pylori is a common pathogen leading cause of peptic ulcer disease. Several studies linked Helicobacter Pylori infection and the development of irritable bowel syndrome. Aims: We investigated the effectiveness of standard triple therapy and the association between H.Pylori infection and the development of post infectious irritable bowel syndrome. Materials and methods: Prospective analytical study was conducted and we appointed 200 H.Pylori positive patients, they consented and subjected to structured questionnaire and received standard triple therapy (14 days course of proton pump inhibitor (PPI), clarithromycin and either amoxicillin or metronidazole). After three months all patients re-evaluated regarding their symptoms and tested for eradication. Additionally we evaluated the association between H.Pylori infection and irritable bowel syndrome

Objectives: There is a lot of speculation, debate, and hypothesis about the new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Also the world famous media British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), and World Health Organization (WHO) are informing their emergency concern for the public attention. But we are far behind yet to say the origin of COVID-19 and its outbreak. The main purpose of this study is to put an end to all speculations, fantasies, theories and debates.

Cryptococcus neoformans infections are more common among immunosuppressed individuals, causing the most widespread opportunistic CNS infection among HIV-positive patients [1]. Specifically, those with cellular immunosuppression, such as patients with HIV positive CD4 counts less than 100. When a patient presents with atypical symptoms, it can be difficult to diagnose due to its infrequent presentation in HIV negative patients. Due to the rarity of encounters in HIV-negative patients, when atypical symptoms are present, it poses a diagnostic challenge. Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is a rare subtype of non-Hodgkin B-cell lymphoma that is known to be associated with cellular immunosuppression [2]. This demonstrates the need for early diagnosis and recognition of cryptococcal infections and as a physician should be vigilant to diagnose cryptococcal who is on Acalabrutinib with MCL [3]. CLL patients receiving ibrutinib should be evaluated for cryptococcal infection, which is potentially life threatening if overlooked [4]. Meningitis caused by Cryptococcus mainly presents with fever and altered mental status but in this case, our patient 78-year-old male with mantle cell lymphoma, undergoing a regimen of Rituximab-Bendamustine (BR) in combination with acalabrutinib (TKI), presented with hypotension to ED in June 2021. Cryptococcal infection in patient receiving ibrutinib were mostly reported in patients with Chronic lymphocytic leukemia, who have poor immune reconstitution. Here we are reporting case of cryptococcal meningoencephalitis in patient with MCL on acalabrutinib which is never reported before.

Purpose: A rare patient case of a diabetic foot osteomyelitis caused by Francisella tularensis is presented. Summary: A 69-year-old Caucasian female was admitted for the treatment of diabetic foot osteomyelitis. Her past medical history included type II diabetes mellitus, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, coronary artery disease, hypothyroidism, hyperuricemia and thyroidectomy. Empiric antimicrobial therapy consisting of clindamycin 600mg i.v. every 8hrs and impanel/cilastatin 200 mg i.v. every 6hrs hours was initiated immediately after admission. During her hospitalization, a pus sample from the infection site was taken for culture which showed a gram negative microorganism: Francisella tularensis. The strain was resistant to all the antibiotics tested with the exception of ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin, gentamicin, ceftazidime, cefepime, piperacillin/tazobactam and colistin. After culture results, the treatment regimen was changed to piperacillin/tazobactam 4.5g i.v. every 12hrs and ciprofloxacin 400mg i.v. every 12hrs. The patient continued to receive both antibiotics during hospitalization for 9 days with noted clinical improvement. The patient was discharged on piperacillin/tazobactam 4.5g i.v. every 12hrs and oral ciprofloxacin 500mg every 12hrs to complete a total duration of 6 weeks. Conclusion: This is the first reported case of a diabetic foot osteomyelitis caused by Francisella tularensis.

Histoplasma capsulatum infection is endemic in many regions around the world, including Latin America [1]. However, cerebral presentation occurs in less than 25% of patients with disseminated histoplasmosis and even rarer as a stand-alone presentation. Three forms are described: meningeal, miliary granulomatous and parenchymal with formation of “histoplasmoma” [2]. Due to the rarity of the case and unusual clinical presentation and topography we describe the case below.

The current study was completed to analyze the effect of natural components on various improvement affecting traits of Kajli sheep in Pakistan. For this reason, we apply two huge contemporary datasets in sheep to explore factors that influence the traits. Therefore, the generation information record of 13715 Kajli sheep lambing accumulated from 1994 to 2010 at Livestock Experimental Stations Khushab and Khizarabad, Punjab. Information records were genuinely analyzed through utilizing PC modified Mixed Model Harvey’s Least Squares and Maximum Likelihood. The two farms information data was analyzed by utilizing an animal model program. The factual model was incorporated to evaluate the Birth Weight (BW), 120 days at Weaning Weight (WW), Pre-Weaning Average Daily Gain (PRADG), Yearling Weight (YW) and Greasy Fleece Weight (GFW). Year of Birth (YOB), Birth Season (BS), Birth Types (BT) and sex was the fix effect in the model. Results indicated that, the overall general values for birth weight, weaning weight, yearling weight, pre-weaning weight and fleece weight were noted. Year of birth, type of birth, sex, and herd was influenced altogether significantly while, birth weight and greasy fleece weight, the period of birth showed no essential difference. In weaning weight and pre-weaning increment normally, year of birth, sort of birth and herd showed a critical contact except for sex. Male sheep were heavier than female sheep and single conceived sheep were also basically heavier than twins were during offspring birth. Results emulate that the Kajli sheep breed can be improved on through selection and further developed management. The cascade type of influence of the current investigation has levelheaded ramification not just for sheep farming by and by just as for intensified associate of boundaries which definitely convince deviation of weight, weight has become itself essential forecaster of in a matter of seconds wellness results. Mastitis is the major disease in milking cows causing huge losses to the dairy industry worldwide. It is in view to contribute to the eradication of this pathology that the present study was carried out in cattle farms of the West Region of Cameroon from March 2020 to November 2020. A total of 473 lactating cows of local and improved breeds were screened for mastitis. Screening for clinical and sub-clinical mastitis was based on the observation of clinical signs and on the use of the California Mastitis Test (CMT) respectively. The overall prevalence was 34.88%, among which 9.72% and 25.16% represented clinical and subclinical mastitis respectively. In summary, the factors influencing the occurrence of mastitis were: the divisions surveyed (p<0.001), breed type (p=0.003), age range (p<0,001), farm type (p=0.05), soil type (p<0,001), cleaning frequency (p<0.001), feeding method (p<0.001), hygiene of udder (p=0.05) and stage of lactation (p=0.02). The results obtained allow us to recommend an improvement of the breeding conditions to prevent mastitis, because once mastitis appears in a farm, it becomes very difficult to eradicate it.

Brucellosis is a neglected zoonosis in Cameroon but it remains enzootic in some agro-ecological zones of the country. This review aims to describe the current status of this disease in domestic ruminants in Cameroon. In order to know the current status of this disease, a systematic and synthetic review was conducted on brucellosis in domestic ruminants in Cameroon. Different types of studies with serological results were reported and considered. A total of 16 studies from 1980 to 2020 were included in this synthetic review of the literature. Most of the studies were cross-sectional descriptive studies (p = 0.12). However, there were also studies with simplified survey methods, modelling approaches, stratified non-probabilistic and probabilistic surveys. 5095 cases of brucellosis infection were identified in the literature, for which the laboratory diagnosis allowed confirmation of brucellosis in the different species (indirect or direct Elisa in the majority of studies (41%), followed by rose Bengal (26%)). In most cases cattle represent 80% of the most studied species. Associated with this, the northern part of Cameroon was the preferred study area at 70% followed by the west (27%) and the south (3%). The biological material of choice for the studies was serum (75%). In addition, other biological materials (15%) were used. This systematic review has identified the tools used over the last 40 years to diagnose brucella infection in ruminants in Cameroon. However, it highlights the need for continuous monitoring of the spatio-temporal evolution of abortive microorganisms on farms.

Malaria was declared an emergency in Nigeria and strategies for the control of Malaria in Nigeria were adopted to reduce its prevalence to a level at which the disease will no longer constitute public health problems. In this work, we presented a deterministic (Ross–Macdonald model susceptible, expose/ infected, infectious and recovered) model incorporating the method of control adopted by national Malaria and leprosy control program. We established the disease free and the endemic equilibrium states and carried out the stability analysis of the disease. Free and the equilibrium state. We also carried out numerical simulation of the model to have an insight into the dynamics of the model. We found out that the disease free equilibrium state is stable. The feedback dynamics from mosquito to human and back to mosquito involve considerable time due to the incubation periods of the parasites. In this paper, taking explicit account of the incubation periods of parasites within the human and the mosquito, we first propose a Ross–Macdonald model. The Jacobiant results showed that it would be very difficult to completely eradicate Malaria from Nigeria using the method adopted by national Malaria and leprosy control program.
