Students are expected to know how to learn but rarely are taught the learning strategies needed for academic success. There is a long history of learning strategy research that has uncovered many effective and independent strategies students can use to facilitate learning and boost achievement. Unfortunately, researchers have been less successful in devising and promoting integrated and uncomplicated study systems students can employ. A prescriptive strategy system, SOAR, combines four simple and empirically proven strategies that can be readily employed by students for various academic tasks. SOAR is an acronym for the system’s four integrated components: Select, Organize, Associate, and Regulate. Briefly, select refers to selecting and noting key lesson ideas. Organize refers to representing selected information using graphic organizers such as matrices and illustrations. Associate refers to connecting selected ideas to one another and to previous knowledge. Regulate refers to monitoring and assessing one’s own learning. SOAR is based on information-processing theory and is supported by research. Five empirical studies have investigated SOAR strategies compared to students’ preferred strategies or to another strategy system (SQ3R) and found SOAR to be more effective for aiding learning and comparative writing. Specific means for how to employ each SOAR strategy are described such as recording longhand notes and revising them for select, creating appropriate graphic organizers for organize, generating examples and using mnemonics for associate, and using distributed retrieval and error analysis for regulation. Although research on SOAR is just emerging as of 2019, it appears an effective and simple means for directing students in how to learn and study.

The article offers an overview of the history of Islamic education in the Ingush society from the adoption of Islam (mid. 19th cent.) up to today. In the article is shown the role and importance of this important component of the people’s spiritual culture. During the field research in Ingushetia in 2014–2018, the author did manage to collect extensive data, which enabled her to outline the history of the formation of Islamic education in Ingushetia. The collected field material is subdivided into two blocks. The first is an outline of the history of the formation and also a structure of the traditional education system. It also provides an overview of the individual learning process. A student was instructed by the famous teachers (alims). This kind of education took place not only in Ingushetia, but also in the whole Caucasus. The second block deals with the processes of re-Islamization of society. This gave a powerful impetus to the revival of the Islamic education system that existed here at the beginning of the 20th century, and the introduction of new forms of Islamic education. The latter run in harness with the introduction in the school curriculum (grades 4 to 11) of the subjects, such as the “Fundaments of Religion” and “The Basics of Islamic Culture”. In introducing these subjects a crucial role played the the Spiritual Council of the Muslims of Ingushetia, who initiated the whole process. The schools in the Republic of Ingushetia continue to teach these subjects; at the same time many teaching aids (manuals, readers) to facilitate the process are currently being written. In addition to the subjects learned at schools, students of religious schools (madrasas) also receive elementary Islamic education, and those who wish can receive a higher education in Islam and Islam related subjects both in the Russian Federation and abroad. Thanks to well-organized work in secondary schools, madrasas and Islamic institutions, it was possible to raise the level of Islamic education and reduce the radicalization of society.

The aim of research to analyze the factors that affect the learning achievement with a quantitative approach. This type of research is a kind of field research (field research) with quantitative approach. The field research is a study to obtain the correct data in the field. So this research is quantitative research that is not only to obtain the data, but also to prove the existence of the effect of parental education and economic status of families with student achievement in social studies SMP se Alalak districts.Test results obtained by the value of R F or the value of the correlation coefficient of 0.901. This value can be interpreted that the relationship of education, economic status of parents, families and schools on student achievement considered strong. The result of the value of F (246.413)> F table (2.37), and sig. Smaller than the probability value 0.05 or value 0.000 <0.05. So P-value <α = 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. Thus the high and low achievement (based on the value of report cards) students of SMP Negeri se Alalak districts affected by the level of education, economic status of parents, families and school students. Parents guide their children is more important in the home in order to be motivated to learn in addition, it also did not escape the role of family support so that his diligent study and school. So is the teacher's role is very important role in educating (as second parents) and taught to students in the school. Schools as the main spearhead forward whether or not the next generation naturally always follow the development of educational progress. This paper centers on a fairly new phenomenon in digital religion: prayer apps. After an overview of their typical features, the paper will present a number of analytical perspectives on such apps, arguing that investing in theoretical work is needed, particularly in a young research field. Starting points are provided by Heidi Campbell’s four-layer model of religious authority, Michel Foucault’s concept of “technologies of the self,” Birgit Meyer’s understanding of religion as a practice of mediation, and by the conceptualization of the transcendence/immanence distinction developed at the Käte Hamburger Kolleg Dynamics of the History of Religions Between Asia and Europe at the Center for Religious Studies, Ruhr-Universät Bochum. With regards to authority, it will be pointed out that prayer apps employ highly different strategies of authorization. These include the evocation of traditional authority, building trust through the use of familiar design language (often borrowed from outside the religious field), and self-imposed strategies aimed at the ‘improvement’ of the individual believer. As for the transcendence/immanence-distinction, it will be argued that it is important to differentiate between prayer apps that have a more auxiliary character, helping users to prepare their offline praying practice, and those apps that allow users to pray directly on their phone – which has significant implications for the understanding of transcendence.
