In modern education, a new format of distance learning is developing more and more rapidly - massive open online courses (MOOCs), this is especially important in times of quarantines and remote learning. The aim of the research is to study the attitude of teachers and students to MOOCs and their readiness to implement this practice in the educational process. 2145 students and 1050 teachers of higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation voluntarily took part in the study. The analysis of the survey data was made in the STATISTICA system. It has been found that more than 30% of respondents have an idea of MOOCs. It has also been determined that 31% of students and 28% of teachers are positive about the introduction of MOOCs in the educational process of universities. In addition, it has been determined that 31% of students and 23% of teachers plan to take MOOCs. Overall, the survey results showed a fairly good acceptance of MOOCs by respondents. From this, it can be concluded that in the near future, taking into account the reorganization of the educational process, MOOCs may become a worthy alternative to traditional education. It is for this that the results of this study can be used by the administration of the universities that have taken part in the survey, in order to further inform students and teachers about MOOCs. There is also a need to reorganize, revise, implement and provide an opportunity for students to study through such a form of distance learning as MOOCs.

The problem of introducing distance learning in primary school is actualized by the development of social networks and Internet technologies, which open unlimited horizons for their application in educational activities. In addition, the introduction of quarantine in Ukraine requires primary school teachers to find ways to effectively master the program material. Among such ways is distance learning. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the specifics and possibilities of organizing the educational process in primary school with the use of distance learning. In the process of scientific research methods of analysis, synthesis, generalization and systematization were used. Distance learning in primary school is defined as a form of organization and implementation of the educational process, in which the subjects of learning (teachers and students) in the online mode carry out educational interaction in principle and mainly extraterritorially. In the context of reforming modern Ukrainian education, a number of e-platforms have been created for the organization of distance learning for primary school students. An effective commercial platform for distance learning is the service "My Class", which contains online courses from 1st to 11th grade, which contain lessons that integrate theoretical (test presentation of content) and practical (individual tasks that can be solved independently of each other, a block of tasks that need to be solved sequentially, guidelines) blocks. Result. Emphasis is placed on the requirements to be met by a primary school teacher when organizing distance learning in primary school during the quarantine period and it is suggested to advise parents who will work remotely with junior students in the initial stages of distance learning, gradually transferring activity to children.

The modern information society formulates tasks for the education of professionals who are able to adapt quickly to life situations, acquire the necessary knowledge and apply them in practice without assistance. Problems with the provision of education, which arose during the establishment of quarantine and the introduction of enhanced anti-epidemic measures in areas with a high prevalence of acute respiratory disease caused by the coronavirus, required in real life to find ways to solve them rationally, using modern technologies. The situation made teachers work with information properly, be communicative, work on the development of their own IT competence by themselves. The development of modern technologies has diversified the methods of communication between teachers and students. This article presents an analysis of the implementation of distance learning in the Zaporizhzhia region and focuses on the difficulties faced by teachers, students, their parents, and ways to reduce the problems of introducing distance learning environment in particular. Monitoring the activities of various participants in the educational process provides opportunities to systematize information and provide recommendations for overcoming such difficulties. The experience of 2020 and the results of the survey showed that there was almost no separate distance and e-learning. An online survey was conducted during March 2021 in order to determine the opinion of teachers in the Zaporozhzhia region on the organization of educational and cognitive activities of students in the form of distance learning. The effectiveness of distance learning in educational institutions of the Zaporozhzhia region depends on the technical support of the educational process, the skill of teachers involved in this process, the use of effective communication. Survey participants believe that teacher motivation has less impact on the effectiveness of distance learning than the motivation of the learner. According to many respondents, the schedule of lessons has not changed, but the usual schedule of life has changed dramatically. Many educators emphasize that they work at a computer for more than half a day. Analysis of statistical data and freely expressed opinions of teachers, participants of the survey, suggests that no effective solutions have been found for the organization of "distance" learning, but there are teachers who respond positively to the existing situation and are in innovative search.

In many higher education institutions of Ukraine there are centers of distance education, the system of which is based on a number of principles: continuity; democratization; integration; globalization. In the conditions of the declared quarantine connected with the Covid–19 pandemic in the educational process of higher educational institutions and medical in particular distance learning has become especially relevant. The aim is to descriptive the forms and methods of distance learning on the example of microbiology, virology and immunology in TNMU and department of microbiology, virology and immunology ZSMU. Microsoft Office 365 (MS Teams application) and Skype for Business were chosen as the main platforms for the implementation of distance learning at ZSMU for the quarantine period. As a platform for distance education at the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology, TNMU used the capabilities of Moodle. Distance learning at ZSMU and TNMU was carried out according to the schedule drawn up at the beginning of the semester using two forms of education, because this combination best helps to implement and ensure the learning process: online conferences and coverage of all materials on the department’s website. The advantages of distance learning are obvious today. This form of learning has significant potential, because the software capabilities of the Microsoft Office 365 and Moodle platforms allow you to quickly transfer any amount of study material to students with its subsequent storage and permanent access for self-study and repetition, as well as various forms of student knowledge control and documentation of the received marks. For successful distance learning it is very important to choose the optimal form of learning or a combination thereof. However, it cannot completely replace traditional education and necessarily requires practical work, especially when studying disciplines at the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology.

Teaching and learning at educational institutions in Slovakia has been based on traditional education, consisting of face-to-face classes until it was disrupted by the spread of the Coronavirus disease. A sudden lockdown caused massive changes, which presented challenges not only for teachers, but also for students who were forced to adapt their learning in a very short time, without any previous preparation. Since various educational institutions were forced to remain closed, they had no option but to shift from a traditional educational approach to distance learning. This form of education requires a form of online learning. The main purpose of this study was to explore what technical equipment students had at their disposal, to understand the students’ perception of distance learning, and to ensure better learning conditions in case of future lockdowns. In order to investigate student readiness for distance learning, a questionnaire survey was conducted at the Secondary Vocational School of Tourism and Gastronomy in Nitra, Slovakia. The findings of this study revealed that the majority of students from the Secondary Vocational School of Gastronomy and Tourism are ready for distance online learning. The results also indicate that a great percentage of students have Internet access and are the owners of technological devices that can be used for educational purposes. Furthermore, students are able to work individually on their own and do not require any help from other people while working on assignments. Although they prefer different teaching methods, the synchronous online courses are their priority because it enables them to have direct contact with their teachers and peers. Overall, this research shows that distance online learning is possible provided that both teachers and students are familiarised with this new learning environment and are ready to cooperate.
