The educational comparison between past and present, in information technology, makes obvious how much innovation influences didactics and the relationship students have with knowledge and competences. Tools accelerate relationships and information, often, though; obsessive use of technology determines an impoverishment of one's personal knowledge. This ties young people even more to Internet connections to fill these gaps. Wearable technologies might represent a concrete possibility of overcoming the knowledge gap, by offering, in any place, at any time and in any situation, some definite supports to reassure us about any of our occasional or well-established forms of interaction lack. How much of what we know and take care of, our personal heritage, contributes to determining who we are, our way of acting, thinking, planning, interacting and loving? The article aims to reflect on wearable relationship to education, by offering some data resulting from an Italian experience a secondary high school.

There have been a limited number studies that examined the relationship between professional development (PD) and self-efficacy with technology tool use, specifically concerning high school science teachers. The main goal of this quantitative study was to identify any specific correlations between science teacher self-efficacy and the professional development science teachers received for those specific classroom technologies. Participants were comprised of a randomized sample set of high school science teachers throughout 46 different US States. The data was collected by using an online survey via the Qualtrics survey platform. The survey was sent to 3000 science instructors and 104 in total completed it. The results suggest that science teachers’ efficacy was high with course management systems and student wireless or digital devices, but not for social networking/media. There was no significant connection between technological self-efficacy and PD for related technology tools. However, it is possible that science teachers are already highly efficacious in terms of technology, and observational studies are recommended to see when and how teachers actually use technology in their classrooms.

The relationship between young people and technologies implies some risks like online addiction and cyberbullying. This study analyses the use of mobile phones and computers in a sample of adolescents, their online addiction behaviours, and bullying and cyberbullying experiences considering the influence of gender and school level. Parental control during Internet use is also considered. Using a self-report questionnaire, 1353 secondary and high school adolescents between 12-21 years-old participated (<em>M </em>= 14.8; <em>SD</em> = 1.62; 52.8% boys). Results show an average of 1-2 hours daily use of mobile phone and computers. Around 13% of students report online addictions behaviors and 32% are in risk of, with differences by gender and school level. Results indicate more involvement in traditional bullying (12%) than in cyberbullying (7.7%), and a significant association between both behaviors and technologies use. Besides, parental mediation acts as protective factor. In conclusion, this study underlines the need to teach young people and educators about risks regarding excessive use of technology.

Each year there is increasing the behavior of dependence on individuals in relation to the use of technologies, especially among the young people of Z Generation, born after the year 2000 and currently attending high school. Despite this, the relationship of science with these technologies seems not to be observed, since in several countries there is a decrease in the interest of young people for science. In view of this, aiming to investigate the interest of the young people of Z Generation by school science, this article wants to give the students of Canoas/RS a voice about this theme. The methodology adopted involved the application of a questionnaire called "Barometer: young people and science", belonging to the Project Sapiens that investigates nationwide the opinions, attitudes and interests of young people in relation to science and technology. The data presented here were collected in 19 schools, with the participation of 1.331 young people. The results show that they have more interest in other areas of science, such as health sciences, for example, than in relation to technological science. Being this low interest more evidenced in the girls than in the boys. This fact leads to the conclusion that young Z are effective in making use of technologies, however, do not reveal an interest in understanding it. In view of this, it is up to reflection on the need for educational actions that can make science teaching, especially that which involves the most interesting technologies, since the perception of students about science is certainly Influence on your academic and professional choices.

This theoretical-conceptual article addresses the relationship between education for the media and liquid modernity, pointing out dialogicity and interdisciplinarity as possible paths for the establishment of a teaching-learning process with young students of High School. This study presents a structured theoretical framework on the concepts of dialogue and dialogicity by Paulo Freire and the conditions of liquidity and fluidity of modern societies by Zygmunt Bauman, contextualized on the current moment of society, specifically in the context of secondary school aimed at education of young people. In the considerations, we point out the viability of Freire's dialog and interdisciplinarity as a path towards an education for the media integrated to reality and receptive to the changes and continuous updates of knowledge demanded by liquid modernity, offering an emancipatory and liberating education proposal based on the integration between school and all types of media available.

The use of technology is widespread in all areas of life, particularly among young people and particularly in learning environments. In this sense, college students have incorporated these technologies in different media and used them for many years. The use of ICT among students taking the same subjects is very different because of the sociological diversity thereof and, in particular, their different cultures and countries. This is the case of Erasmus students, who must take the same subjects and with the same instruments than the national ones. Although both groups must show the same academic performance, their conditions are very diverse, including difficulties related to language. This article analyzes the relationship between learning styles (active, reflexive, theoretical and pragmatic) and the use of ICT in training university students, comparing between Erasmus and domestic ones. The REATIC survey was conducted among 37 third-year students from the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of A Coruña (Spain), distinguished four different modules: knowledge of ICT, use of ICT, assessment of ICT and ICT as learning style. Results showed differences in all modules and especially in the last module that analyzes the use of ICT for learning.
