Hate is a negative emotional phenomenon whose characteristics are anger, contempt or disgust. This emotional attitude sometimes leads towards revenge in the form of criminal act. This situation may challenge the school administrators to keep teaching-learning process smooth and effective. Hate speeches on social media is a common exercise among all age group people. Educational institutes are also under attack due to these practices. Students are permanently and continuously connected on social media. They are less prepared and trained to deal with online hate speeches. This qualitative study has focused this issue and derived results from literature. Racism, homophobia, religious biasedness, trans-phobia and sexual harassment are common social media generated problems in educational institutes which are types of online hate speech. It is therefore, suggested at the end of this study that students must be trained and taught about gender violence and discrimination; raise awareness about the importance and positive usage of media and digital based information.

This article shows the use of good practices of the CMMI quality model as part of the work methodology applied in the classroom and with the project-based teaching-learning model. The first step was the definition of the work methodology, as already mentioned adopting good practices of the CMMI quality model. It continues with the definition and integration of the collegiate body who play the role of expert leaders in their work areas and define the characteristics that form the integrating project. Finally, work teams were formed for the implementation of the methodology in a real scenario, supported by technological tools to facilitate its management. The contribution was to propose a work methodology that offers an improvement in the teaching-learning process experience, increases the level of knowledge and that favors the labor inclusion of graduates.

The chapter explores the potential role that the concept and practice of Ubuntu can be salvaged to inform school leadership in Botswana. Reference is made to traditional ways in which human development is conceived and treated in the Botswana Ubuntu cultural practice which is manifested in Leseya Maturity Stage (LMS), Ngwana Maturity Stage (NMS), Monana Maturity Stage (MMS), and Mogolo Maturity Stage (MgMS). The chapter argues that, at each of the development stages, an appropriate leadership style should be used as in situational leadership. For instance, at the LMS, a human being according to Lerner displays some inconsistencies in his or her behavior which is a perfect example of a reflection of shaky grasp of logic. The chapter asserts that there are adults as in teachers who may display such behaviors even though they may chronologically be adults. The chapter therefore argues that the concept of situational leadership should be used according to the contextual maturity of the led as per the Ubuntu concept. Ubuntu leadership styles can inform school leadership.

In this article we address the role of rural schools in community development. We first discuss the largely historical linkages between rural schools and the communities they serve, and what this means for both school and community well-being. We then consider the newly revised standards for preparing school administrators, developed by the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium, and how these standards may align with community-building efforts. In sum, we argue that enlightened educational leadership that seriously takes into account the 21st Century needs of students – as well as the communities in which they reside – cannot help but interpret academic and community improvement goals as mutually reinforcing priorities.
