The Neuronal Model of Knowledge Systems, Data Mining, and the Performance of Organizations

Why do we continue with our misplaced confidence in this primitive model? Among the possible reasons, I propose the following four key factors. First, since the middle of the twentieth century, we have accumulated and have become accustomed to an enormity of data and information. We designed and constructed massive warehouses—physical and electronic—to store and to manipulate this massive collection. We currently, for instance, have information on almost all working people, including their credit history, economic and financial activities, and their health and employment experience. To the chagrin and desperation of supporters of individual liberties and of privacy advocates, almost all private and public organizations are in possession of even minute details of our lives. In short, as a society, we have too much data and information at our disposal, and we continue to collect and store an ever-growing quantity of whatever information we are allowed to gather.

Arnold Schoenberg and Thomas Mann, two towering figures of twentieth-century music and literature, both found refuge in the German-exile community in Los Angeles during the Nazi era. This complete edition of their correspondence provides a glimpse inside their private and public lives and culminates in the famous dispute over Mann's novel Doctor Faustus. In the thick of the controversy was Theodor Adorno, then a budding philosopher, whose contribution to the Faustus affair would make him an enemy of both families. Gathered here for the first time in English, the letters are complemented by diary entries, related articles, and other primary source materials, as well as an introduction that contextualizes the impact that these two great artists had on twentieth-century thought and culture.

Candidate-centric campaigns are most likely to occur when electoral system incentives to personalize do not conflict with party-based incentives. Then it makes sense for candidates to use any campaign mean to improve their chances to win a seat while also helping the party win more seats and increasing their standing within the organization. The Romanian electoral system uniquely combined mechanisms that enabled all three motivations for almost all candidates. Our analysis of the degree and determinants of personalization in the 2012 parliamentary elections illustrates that electoral system incentives were key factors driving campaign personalization as a party-congruent rather than adversarial campaign strategy.

Mónica Pachón and Santiago E. Lacouture examine the case of Colombia and show that women’s representation has been low and remains low in most arenas of representation and across national and subnational levels of government. The authors identify institutions and the highly personalized Colombian political context as the primary reasons for this. Despite the fact that Colombia was an electoral democracy through almost all of the twentieth century, it was one of the last countries in the region to grant women political rights. Still, even given women’s small numbers, they do bring women’s issues to the political arena. Pachón and Lacoutre show that women are more likely to sponsor bills on women-focused topics, which may ultimately lead to greater substantive representation of women in Colombia.

There are several factors that can be used to predict a dengue fever outbreak. Almost all existing research approaches, however, usually exploit the use of a basic set of core attributes to forecast an outbreak, e.g. temperature, humidity, wind speed, and rainfall. In contrast, this research identifies new attributes to improve the prediction accuracy of the outbreak. The experimental results are analyzed using a correlation analysis and demonstrate that the density of dengue virus infection rate in female mosquitoes and seasons have strong correlation with a dengue fever outbreak. In addition, the research constructs a forecast model using Poisson regression analysis. The result shows the proposed model obtains significantly low forecasting error rate when compared it against the conventional model using only temperature, humidity, wind speed, and rainfall parameters.

Almost all service organizations are now well aware about global warming and advantages of green information systems (Green IS) in order to gain social and economic profit at the cost of no harmful effect on environment. Recurrent annotations in the literature have explored that for successful Green IS adoption certain keys factors are required to be considered and followed in various organizations. This paper reviews, analyzes, and corroborates 11 key factors empirically that are accountable for successful adoption of Green IS and performance improvement achievement of banking segments with special reference to the banks positioned at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. Eleven key factors are identified via in-depth literature review and examined using UTAUT2 and T-O-E models. Analysis of Moment Structure 21.0-Structural Equation Modeling tool is used in the study for data analysis and corroboration. The study will enrich the literature review in this field; also, it will be helpful to the decision makers and practitioners in different segments for successful adoption of Green IS in organizations.

Background/Objective: The Coronavirus Covid-19 has affected almost all the countries and millions of people got infected and more deaths have been reported everywhere. The uncertainty and fear created by the pandemic can be used by hackers to steal the data from both private and public systems. Hence, there is an urgent need to improve the security of the systems. This can be done only by building a strong cryptosystem. So many researchers started embedding different topics of mathematics like algebra, number theory, and so on in cryptography to keep the system, safe and secure. In this study, a cryptosystem using graph theory has been attempted, to strengthen the security of the system. Method: A new graph is constructed from the given graph, known as a double vertex graph. The edge labeling of this double vertex graph is used in encryption and decryption. Findings: A new cryptosystem using the amalgamation of the path, its double vertex graph and edge labeling has been proposed. From the double vertex graph of a path, we have given a method to find the original path. To hack such an encrypted key, the knowledge of graph theory is important, which makes the system stronger. Applications:The one-word encryption method will be useful in every security system that needs a password for secure communication or storage or authentication. <span>Data mining can be defined as a process of extracting unknown, verifiable and possibly helpful data from information. Among the various ailments, heart ailment is one of the primary reason behind death of individuals around the globe, hence in order to curb this, a detailed analysis is done using Data Mining. Many a times we limit ourselves with minimal attributes that are required to predict a patient with heart disease. By doing so we are missing on a lot of important attributes that are main causes for heart diseases. Hence, this research aims at considering almost all the important features affecting heart disease and performs the analysis step by step with minimal to maximum set of attributes using Data Mining techniques to predict heart ailments. The various classification methods used are Naïve Bayes classifier, Random Forest and Random Tree which are applied on three datasets with different number of attributes but with a common class label. From the analysis performed, it shows that there is a gradual increase in prediction accuracies with the increase in the attributes irrespective of the classifiers used and Naïve Bayes and Random Forest algorithms comparatively outperforms with these sets of data.</span>

AbstrakBelakangan ini hampir seluruh universitas yang ada di indonesia memiliki sistem informasi alumninya sendiri-sendiri. Sistem informasi alumni mampu memberikan informasi tentang kondisi alumninya setelah menyelesaikan masa perkuliahannya. Alumni merupakan aktor yang berperan penting dalam pendidikan. Saat ini jurusan Informatika Fakultas Teknik Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang telah memiliki website alumni. Permasalahannya belum adanya sistem yang memberikan alumni rekomendasi grup pada sistem, sehingga para alumni mampu saling bertukar informasi didalamnya. Dengan adanya data alumni dan juga di dukung dengan adanya tracer study, dapat di bentuk suatu rekomendasi grup dari data tracer study. K-medoid adalah metode pengelompokan data ke  dalam  sejumlah cluster  tanpa  adanya  struktur  hirarki antara satu dengan yang lainnya. Algoritma k-medoid memiliki nilai coefficient yang lebih tinggi di bandingkan dengan k-means dalam penelitian ini. Yang mana k-medoid mendapatkan nilai rata-rata Silhouette Score 0.7325888099 dalam pengujian dengan jumlah cluster 5 dan perulangan sebanyak 10 kali. Jika dibandingkan dengan k-means yang hanya memiliki nilai rata-rata Silhouette Score 0.6872873866.AbstractLately, Almost all universities in Indonesia have their own alumni information systems. The alumni information system is able to provide information about the condition of its alumni after collage graduation. Alumni are actors who play important role in education. Currently, the Department of Informatics, Faculty of Engineering, University of Muhammadiyah Malang has an alumni website.  The problem is the absence of system that gives alumni group recommendation on the system, so that alumni are able to exchange information in this website. With the alumni data and also supported by the existence of a tracer study, it can be formed as group recommendation from the data tracer study. Clustering is one of tools in data mining that aims to group object into clusters. K-medoid is a method of grouping data into a number of clusters without hierarchical structure from one another. The k-medoid algorithm has higher coefficient value compared to k-means in this study. This K-medoid gets an average value of Silhouette Score 0.7325888099 in testing with the number of clusters 5 and repetitions 10 times. When compared with k-means which only has an average value of Silhouette Score 0.6872873866.

The article analyzes the features of the formation of the school of painting in Uzbekistan in the twentieth century, the harmony of painting with modern urban planning, analysis of the work of greatpainters. In particular, in the works of B. Jalolov, one of the most prominent artists in the field of monumental painting, we see that he skillfully combined the strong traditions of the academic school, the aesthetics of Western and Eastern art. His work can be seen in a series of frescoes. The interior of theTurkiston concert palace in Tashkent contains analytical information about the work of Umar Khayyam on oriental lyrics, “Nobody said why I was born” at the National Bank of Uzbekistan, as well as about his monumental works in many other regions. On the example of Samarkand, A. Isaev was one of the most versatile artists in the field of monumental painting, he also wrote “The Great Silk Road” on the walls of the foyer of the Institute of Foreign Languages and “Friendship of Peoples” for the foyer of the academic lyceum of the Institute, Examples “History of Samarkand” for the hotel “ Afrosiyab ", at the Samarkand Agricultural Institute, such as" The Generosity of Mother Earth ", 41 ceramic panels on Tashkent Street and many other monumental paintings. By the colors in the artist's works, one can imagine that the artist played the melody in a lyrical tone. The article notes that almost all compositions are characterized by a description of the artist's work, such as the observation ofwarmth, a set of warm colors, oriental colors, a patriotic mood, which is typical for all artists

This chapter looks closely at the rise of state-funded English education to uncover the disciplinary role that poetry played. It shows how the naturalization of English “meter” was a crucial part of the English literary curriculum. “Meter” is placed in quotation marks because the “meter” that emerges in the state-funded classroom has little to do with the prosody wars going on outside its walls. Educational theorist Matthew Arnold's cultural metrics, in which poetry by Shakespeare, for instance, will subtly and intimately transform a student into a good citizen, is replaced by a patriotic pedagogy wherein verses written in rousing rhythms are taught as a naturally felt English “beat.” It suggests that poet and educational theorist Henry Newbolt's figure of the “drum” performed a naturalized rhythm that brought England together as a collective. The collective mass identification with (and proliferation of) patriotic verses created an even sharper divide between the high and low, elite and mass, private and public cultures of poetry in the early twentieth century.
