In the past decade, the Activity-Based Costing and the allocation of the batch-level costs have been presented and discussed in almost all cost/managerial accounting textbooks. A widely used example of batch-level cost, in most of the textbooks, is the set-up cost. In almost all of these textbooks, the annual set-up cost is assumed to be known in advance and is allocated based on the number of set-ups. In reality, the set-up cost should be determined first before it can be allocated properly. For the computation of the optimal total set-up cost, first the various factors influencing this category of cost should be discussed and then the methods of the allocation be applied. This paper discusses the various factors affecting the calculation of annual set-up cost. It also demonstrates a model that computes the optimum size of each set-up and the economical number of annual set-ups. Based on the outcomes of the model, the paper demonstrates the calculation of total allocable set-up cost and its allocation to various products.

To verify the factors affecting the intention to subscribe to voluntary social insurance of farmers in Phu Yen Province, the study made use of primary data collected from the survey on 325 farmer households in 4 localities in Phu Yen. Employing a model with 7 independent variables, we found that the intention to voluntary subscription to social insurance of Phu Yen farmers is determined by 5 factors, including “Awareness of voluntary social insurance policy”, “Attitude towards subscription”, “Risk awareness”, “Subscription procedures”, and “Moral responsibility”. Based on this result, we propose some policies to encourage farmers in Phu Yen to voluntarily participate in social insurance, in particular renewing organizing quality, raising farmers’ awareness of the necessity for voluntary social insurance, improving policy mechanisms and strengthening the State’s management.

The majority of soybean supply is fulfilled by importation and the import of soybean tends to increase. The dependency of Indonesia on imported soybean indeed becomes a serious issue in maintaining food security and local production of soybean is low and quite decreasing. The low domestic soybean production might be caused by the inappropriate used of inputs. Many cases found in the field are the inefficient uses of input factors. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors influencing the soybean production and to analyze the optimal level of input use in soybean production. The study was conducted in the Sukahurip Village, Pangatikan Sub-District, Garut District, West Java in July 2018. The research method used was a survey method. The data used consisted of primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from samples of soybean farmers and samples of farmers were taken by a simple random sampling. The data were analyzed by Cobb Douglass`s Production function (to analyze factors affecting soybean production) and the NPM that was equal to BKM formula was used to determine the optimal level of inputs use. Factors influencing soybean production are land and seeds. Land use, seeds, and ZA fertilizer have not been used efficiently because of the limited land use and the use of substandard inputs. The addition of inputs to the optimal level is 1.36 hectares of land use and 52.7 kg of seeds that will maximize the profits. Keywords: efficiency, input, optimal, production, soybean

The article analyzes and forms the system and the relationship of factors influencing the development of land relations. The relevance of the study is obvious, since the rational use of land constitutes the ecological, economic, political and social basis of the country and implies a system of mechanisms that contribute not only to the preservation and improvement of the land fund, but also to increase soil fertility. The factor that determines the economic position of the state is the effective use of its land fund. As a result of the agrarian reform carried out in our country, the entire system of land relations has changed. As a result of the reform, almost all agricultural land was transferred to private ownership - despite the measures taken in the new land legislation, the state weakened control over the use of agricultural resources. In turn, this leads to many problems - the desolation of fertile soils, overgrowth of small forests, a drop in productivity and agricultural production. These problems are capable of introducing negative trends in the national security of the state. A stable economy of the country is characterized by sufficient provision of citizens with food and industrial goods and meeting the demand for primary services. At the moment, it is extremely important to analyze the factors affecting the system of land relations and develop methods for the rational use of land.
