New attacks and methods seen today indicate an emerging trend and dependency on reverse-engineered technology that was used in the past by espionage and intelligence agencies and their tactics as well as use of modern technology to obtain information and data that is turned into usable intelligence. One of the many disturbing consequences of this is that we are faced with attackers that are versed in stealth, deception, planting false information, and increased training in newer attack technologies that classical tools can no longer reliably find. In addition, advanced attack and deception skills now use OSINT (open source intelligence) data collection tactics that have moved entire attack chains into the espionage and surveillance realm.

Open source intelligence (OSINT) is one of the most confrontational topics in cyber security in today's world where technology and data transfer methods are highly developed. It is known that many organizations and individuals use OSINT as an information gathering tool during data transfer over the internet and provide many personal or corporate information access. OSINT is a systematic method that is produced by official and private organizations via sources such as the internet or the media. In recent years there has been some debate about the security and privacy of this information, especially with the widespread use of social media. In this chapter, the control of information obtained by OSINT the security will explain the positive effects on this control mechanism.

Cellulite is a multifactorial etiology ailment. It changes the skin topography by the formation of the skin surface’s appearance, changes described as “orange peel”. This problem concerns 85–98% of women, and for them it is one of the most intolerable aesthetic imperfections. In the past few years the interest of scientists in this problem has clearly increased. Several theories on the pathophysiology of cellulite have been produced A number of different therapeutic regimens have been developed using modern technology. However, despite the many treatment options for cellulite, it is extremely important that patients should be aware that only multidirectional treatment can bring satisfactory results. The aim of this review was to describe the causes of cellulite, and its prevention and treatment.

Every day, U.S. intelligence agencies gather huge amounts of information from a variety of sources. Collection of information is an essential part of the process described as Intelligence Cycle. The purpose of this article is to identify the essence and nature of intelligence sources and to analyze their practical use by the agencies and departments that make up the U.S. Intelligence Community. The author characterizes the main types of intelligence sources – Human Intelligence (HUMINT), Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT), and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) – and indicates which U.S. intelligence agencies are responsible for their use. Moreover, the author presents the problems with the use of intelligence sources that occur in the work of the U.S. Intelligence Community. Research findings indicate that the best results of intelligence work can be achieved with the use of “all-source intelligence” (also referred to as fusion intelligence), which involves using as many sources as possible to prepare a final intelligence product.

The role of electron microscopy and associated techniques is assured in diagnostic pathology. At the present time, most of the progress has been made on tissues examined by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and correlated with light microscopy (LM) and by cytochemistry using both plastic and paraffin-embedded materials. As mentioned elsewhere in this symposium, this has revolutionized many fields of pathology including diagnostic, anatomic and clinical pathology. It began with the kidney; however, it has now been extended to most other organ systems and to tumor diagnosis in general. The results of the past few years tend to indicate the future directions and needs of this expanding field. Now, in addition to routine EM, pathologists have access to the many newly developed methods and instruments mentioned below which should aid considerably not only in diagnostic pathology but in investigative pathology as well.

Purpose The current “specific language impairment” and “developmental language disorder” discussion might lead to important changes in how we refer to children with language disorders of unknown origin. The field has seen other changes in terminology. This article reviews many of these changes. Method A literature review of previous clinical labels was conducted, and possible reasons for the changes in labels were identified. Results References to children with significant yet unexplained deficits in language ability have been part of the scientific literature since, at least, the early 1800s. Terms have changed from those with a neurological emphasis to those that do not imply a cause for the language disorder. Diagnostic criteria have become more explicit but have become, at certain points, too narrow to represent the wider range of children with language disorders of unknown origin. Conclusions The field was not well served by the many changes in terminology that have transpired in the past. A new label at this point must be accompanied by strong efforts to recruit its adoption by clinical speech-language pathologists and the general public.

Building on Tzvetan Todorov's observation that the detective novel ‘contains not one but two stories: the story of the crime and the story of the investigation’, this essay argues that detective novels display a remarkably wide range of attitudes toward the several pasts they represent: the pasts of the crime, the community, the criminal, the detective, and public history. It traces a series of defining shifts in these attitudes through the evolution of five distinct subgenres of detective fiction: exploits of a Great Detective like Sherlock Holmes, Golden Age whodunits that pose as intellectual puzzles to be solved, hardboiled stories that invoke a distant past that the present both breaks with and echoes, police procedurals that unfold in an indefinitely extended present, and historical mysteries that nostalgically fetishize the past. It concludes with a brief consideration of genre readers’ own ambivalent phenomenological investment in the past, present, and future each detective story projects.

Research on the condition of the nesting habitat of Chelonia mydas (green turtle) in Pangumbahan Beach, Ujung Genteng, South Sukabumi has been carried out. Data retrieval is done 6 times for 2 days, 27-28 November 2017 at 3 observation stations. The abiotic parameters measured include surface temperature and depth of 50 cm, surface humidity and depth of 50 cm, beach width, beach slope, and the size of sand grains. While the biotic parameters measured were density, relative density, the frequency of attendance, and distribution patterns of Pandanus tectorius (sea pandanus) vegetation. Based on the results of data processing, the biophysical conditions in Pangumbahan Beach are still suitable for the Chelonia mydas nesting habitat. It also got clear evidence of the many Chelonia mydas landings during the data collection.

Results of the food consumption surveys are utilized in many areas, such as for example risk assessment, cognition of consumer trends, health education and planning of prevention projects. Standardization of national consumption data for international comparison is an important task. The intention work began in the 1970s. Because of the widespread utilization of food consumption data, many international projects have been done with the aim of their harmonization. The present study shows data collection methods for groups of the food consumption data, their utilization, furthermore, the stations of the international harmonization works in details. The authors underline that for the application of the food consumption data on the international level, it is crucial to harmonize the surveys’ parameters (e.g. time of data collection, method, number of participants, number of the analysed days and the age groups). For this purpose the efforts of the EU menu project, started in 2012, are promising. Orv. Hetil., 2012, 153, 1692–1700.
