Contemporary society changes its social perspective from an anthropocentric environment to a space in which intelligent algorithms, present in every digital device, are increasingly acquiring a status of subject and less of object. Existential practices change at every moment, at every access to these intelligent agents who, in addition to supporting the user's requests, become anticipatory and prescient, demonstrating how it is essential, today, to sociologically analyse society through the image it gives the car. The intent of the contribution, mainly of a theoretical nature, will be to dialogue on the centrality of artificial intelligence as a leading actress of the multiple manifestations of digital cultures and practices, with the aim of renewing the debate on reflection on contemporary complexity starting from the event.

In a human society with emergent technology, the destructive actions of some pose a danger to the survival of all of humankind, increasing the need to maintain peace by overcoming universal conflicts. However, human society has not yet achieved complete global peacekeeping. Fortunately, a new possibility for peacekeeping among human societies using the appropriate interventions of an advanced system will be available in the near future. To achieve this goal, an artificial intelligence (AI) system must operate continuously and stably (condition 1) and have an intervention method for maintaining peace among human societies based on a common value (condition 2). However, as a premise, it is necessary to have a minimum common value upon which all of human society can agree (condition 3). In this study, an AI system to achieve condition 1 was investigated. This system was designed as a group of distributed intelligent agents (IAs) to ensure robust and rapid operation. Even if common goals are shared among all IAs, each autonomous IA acts on each local value to adapt quickly to each environment that it faces. Thus, conflicts between IAs are inevitable, and this situation sometimes interferes with the achievement of commonly shared goals. Even so, they can maintain peace within their own societies if all the dispersed IAs think that all other IAs aim for socially acceptable goals. However, communication channel problems, comprehension problems, and computational complexity problems are barriers to realization. This problem can be overcome by introducing an appropriate goal-management system in the case of computer-based IAs. Then, an IA society could achieve its goals peacefully, efficiently, and consistently. Therefore, condition 1 will be achievable. In contrast, humans are restricted by their biological nature and tend to interact with others similar to themselves, so the eradication of conflicts is more difficult.

Intellectual agent ensembles allow you to create digital environment by professional images with language, behavioral and active communications, when images and communications are implemented by agents with smart artificial intelligence. Through language, behavioral and active communications, intellectual agents implement collective activities. The ethical standard through intelligent agents allows you to regulate the safe use of ensembles made of robots and digital doubles with creative communication artificial intelligence in the social sphere, industry and other professional fields. The use of intelligent agents with smart artificial intelligence requires responsibility from the developer and owner for harming others. If harm to others occurred due to the mistakes of the developer, then he bears responsibility and costs. If the damage to others occurred due to the fault of the owner due to non-compliance with the terms of use, then he bears responsibility and costs. Ethical standard and legal regulation help intellectual agents with intelligent artificial intelligence become professional members of society. Ensembles of intelligent agents ith smart artificial intelligence will be able to safely work with society as professional images with skills, knowledge and competencies, implemented in the form of retrained digital twins and cognitive robots that interact through language, behavioral and active ethical communications. Cognitive robots and digital doubles through self-developing ensembles of intelligent agents with synergistic interaction and intelligent artificial intelligence can master various high-tech professions and competencies. Their use in the industry increases labor productivity and economic efficiency of production. Their application in the social sphere improves the quality of life of a person and society. Their widespread application requires compliance with an ethical standard so that their use does not cause harm. The introduction and use of an ethical standard for the use of cognitive robots and digital doubles with smart artificial intelligence increases the safety of their use. Ethical relationships between individuals and intellectual agents will also be governed by an ethical standard.

The paper describes the solution to the problem of testing the efficiency of new ideas and algorithms for intelligent systems. Simulation of interaction of the corresponding intelligent agents in a competitive form implementing different algorithms is proposed to use as the main approach to the solution. To support this simulation, a specialized software platform is used. The paper describes the platform developed for running competitions in artificial intelligence and its subsystems: a server, a client and visualization. Operational testing of the developed system is also described which helps to evaluate the efficiency of various algorithms of artificial intelligence in relation to the simulation like "Naval Battle".

Interacting with intelligence in an ever-changing environment calls for exceptional performances from artificial beings. One mechanism explored to produce intuitive-like behavior in artificial intelligence applications is emotion. This chapter examines the engineering of a mechanism that synthesizes and processes an artificial agent’s internal emotional states: the Affective Space. Through use of the affective space, an agent can predict the effect certain behaviors will have on its emotional state and, in turn, decide how to behave. Furthermore, an agent can use the emotions produced from its behavior to update its beliefs about particular entities and events. This chapter explores the psychological theory used to structure the affective space, the way in which the strength of emotional states can be diminished over time, how emotions influence an agent’s perception, and the way in which an agent can migrate from one emotional state to another.

Artificial intelligence has been developed to perform all manner of tasks but has not gained capabilities to support social cognition. We suggest that teams comprised of both humans and artificially intelligent agents cannot achieve optimal team performance unless all teammates have the capacity to employ social-cognitive mechanisms. These form the foundation for generating inferences about their counterparts and enable execution of informed, appropriate behaviors. Social intelligence and its utilization are known to be vital components of human-human teaming processes due to their importance in guiding the recognition, interpretation, and use of the signals that humans naturally use to shape their exchanges. Although modern sensors and algorithms could allow AI to observe most social cues, signals, and other indicators, the approximation of human-to-human social interaction -based upon aggregation and modeling of such cues is currently beyond the capacity of potential AI teammates. Partially, this is because humans are notoriously variable. We describe an approach for measuring social-cognitive features to produce the raw information needed to create human agent profiles that can be operated upon by artificial intelligences.

During recent decades there has been an extensive progress towards several Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts, such as that of intelligent agent. Meanwhile, it has been established that emotions play a crucial role concerning human reasoning and learning. Thus, developing an intelligent agent able to recognize and express emotions has been considered an enormous challenge for AI researchers. Embedding a computational model of emotions in intelligent agents can be beneficial in a variety of domains, including e-learning applications. However, until recently emotional aspects of human learning were not taken into account when designing e-learning platforms. Various issues arise when considering the development of affective agents in e-learning environments, such as issues relating to agents’ appearance, as well as ways for those agents to recognize learners’ emotions and express emotional support. Embodied conversational agents (ECAs) with empathetic behaviour have been suggested to be one effective way for those agents to provide emotional feedback to learners’ emotions. There has been some valuable research towards this direction, but a lot of work still needs to be done to advance scientific knowledge.

Artificial intelligence evolves rapidly and will have a great impact on the society in the future. One important question which still cannot be addressed with satisfaction is whether the decision of an intelligent agent can be predicted. As a consequence of this, the general question arises if such agents can be controllable and future robotic applications can be safe. This chapter shows that unpredictable systems are very common in mathematics and physics although the underlying mathematical structure can be very simple. It also shows that such unpredictability can also emerge for intelligent agents in reinforcement learning, especially for complex tasks with various input parameters. An observer would not be capable to distinguish this unpredictability from a free will of the agent. This raises ethical questions and safety issues which are briefly presented.

Abstract Based on Carl Gustav Jung’s persona philosophy, this paper conducts theoretical analysis on the introvert and extravert personalities, distinguishes the introvert personality from the psychopathy defined from a medical perspective, and elaborates on the dominance of introvert personality in art creations, as well as the “mental conditions” among artists that the contemporary society is concerned with. This paper uses modern artists as subjects to support the conclusion through analysis of their childhood, career and life stories.

Artificial Intelligence or AI is the theory and development of computer systems that can think and act humanly and rationally. AI is gradually transforming our work and life. Along with the increasing presence of robots in our lives arises the fear that AI may take away human jobs. Debates or worries notwithstanding, AI and robots are increasingly brought into the teams of human workers, but our understanding of this emerging human-robot teaming phenomenon remains limited. This chapter presents a brief overview of AI and discusses the relationship between AI and knowledge management. Moreover, it focuses on understanding key issues arising in the collaboration between human and intelligent agents (i.e. robots) in the team setting, and coping strategies and design considerations. This chapter also discusses the value sensitive design framework as a useful tool for incorporating the values of agent transparency and team trust into the design of human-robotic systems. The chapter concludes with the new perspective of augmented intelligence and promising avenues for future research.

AbstractDistributed Artificial Intelligence has been loosely defined in terms of computation by distributed, intelligent agents. Although a variety of projects employing widely ranging methodologies have been reported, work in the field has matured enough to reveal some consensus about its main characteristics and principles. A number of prominent projects are described in detail, and two general frameworks, theSystem conceptual modeland theagent conceptual model, are used to compare the different approaches. The paper concludes by reviewing approaches to formalizing some of the more critical capabilities required by multi-agent interaction.
