In the context of constructivist market studies, this research aims to understand how value is calculated in alternative agrifood markets, more specifically in the community-supported agriculture (CSA) market system. Methodologically, this qualitative study was based on observation, document analysis and interviews, and the study subjects were actors from various Brazilian CSA communities. The results showed that the CSA system is based on an activist order of worth (Lindberg & Mossberg, 2019), which affects the value calculations performed by the agents. In addition to calculations present in conventional markets (quantitative, qualitative and collective - Cochoy, 2008), the CSA system fosters a new type of calculation, herein termed appreciation calculation, which considers various social and environmental benefits of the system. Thus, CSA members incorporate appreciation calculation into other calculation methods when making decisions on whether to join and remain in the community. The article contributes to market studies by presenting a peculiar system that challenges the prevailing logic, thereby improving our understanding of how ideological issues are incorporated into market practices.

In the study school of thought, an exposure to the context of across the time boundary known as "al-fiqh al-taqdiri" is a special feature in the formation of the Hanafi sect. It is also a feature shared by other sects including the Syafie sect. The authors chose the book of "Ghiyath al-Umam" by Imam al-Haramayn al-Juwayniyy (419H-478H) for this study as the book was loaded with elements across the time compared to his other books. This study is a qualitative study and the design is document analysis. The study of Ghiyath al-Umam's book shows how far Imam al-Haramayn's imagination that has not been reflected by most of the people at his time. But some have already happened now and some might happen in the future. Keywords: civilization, futuristics, Syafie sect ABSTRAK: pengajian sejarah mazhab kita biasa didedahkan bahawa fiqh merentasi sempadan masa yang dikenali sebagai “al-fiqh al-taqdiri” merupakan ciri istimewa dalam pembentukan mazhab Hanafi.

Abstract Background Unhealthy diets and inadequate physical activity are important factors in the increasing trend of obesity. In order to mitigate this harmful trend, an effective policy must be developed to target both unhealthy diets and insufficient physical activity. The implementation of physical activity recommendations in nutrition labeling may influence the consumers’ food choices. In this qualitative study, we designed a new type of physical activity calorie equivalent (PACE) label by considering the viewpoints of household representatives and experts. Method Ten focus group discussions (FGDs) were conducted with 63 mothers from different regions of Tehran based on the participants’ socioeconomic status. Furthermore, ten interviews were conducted with food quality control (FQC) experts to examine the new PACE label. The preliminary designs were based on the mothers’ viewpoints. We then presented these new labels to the nutritionists and food industry experts in two separate FGDs. After taking their opinions into consideration, we applied certain changes to the labels and emailed them to the mothers. Consequently, the final versions of the new labels were designed. Conventional content analysis was applied with the MAXQDA10 software. Result Two main themes were defined: (1) the stakeholders’ perspectives on PACE labeling (2) the new PACE label’s characteristics including the appearance and the nutritional information on the new label. Conclusion The new label is a combination of the physical activity, traffic light and warning labels.

This study aims to analyze issues, issue writing patterns, and reflective writing in the PISMP trainee teacher practicum journal, at Tun Hussein Onn Campus Teacher Education Institute, Batu Pahat. This study involved a total of 40 journal reflection writings selected at random in 2019 for various options. Qualitative study through document analysis is used to analyze the reflective writing of trainee teachers. In this study, the data were obtained from the writing notes of the reflection journal of the trainee teacher during the practicum. The results show that the writing of trainee teacher issues is more focused on the student domain (18 issues), followed by students (15 issues) and pedagogy (1 issue). Students were found not to touch the school domain at all and there was writing the title of the issue presented in the practicum journal not clear the domain of the issue (6 issues). The findings of the study also show that 36 out of 40 journal writing titles are clearly written. This shows that only a small number of journal writing titles cannot be written clearly. These findings indicate that trainee teachers are less focused on school factors such as environment, basic facilities, and racial diversity in writing self-reflection. The practice of reflection through journal writing is a very important aspect of teacher training in motivating trainee teachers intrinsically to achieve professional development in the field of trainee teacher duties.

AbstractA qualitative study was conducted with a subset of a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) membership base in Wisconsin, USA to examine attitude and behavior change associated with membership. Changes that were examined included: modified eating or cooking habits, increased consideration of food seasonality and associated consumer preferences for seasonal products, and an enhanced appreciation for farming. Although this study investigated ‘spillover’ attitude or behavior changes (e.g. reduced driving or increased use of environmentally friendly cleaning products), none were observed. This study indicates that attitude and behavior changes are generated by the structural elements of CSA including exposure to the farm, interactions with the farmer, and the constraints imposed by a pre-selected bundle of vegetables. There was no indication that changes occur due to the development and enforcement of social norms within the CSA membership base. Community, in the context of this CSA, is expressed primarily as a conceptual community of interest. Our results suggest that demonstrated attitude and behavior change increases the likelihood that a consumer will renew their CSA membership.

Prolonged armed conflicts between the Government of Indonesia and the Free Aceh Movement/Gerakan Aceh Merdeka (GAM) happened from 1976 to 2005. The three-decade-vertical political conflicts have received worldwide attention in research, except its humorous sides. This study attempted to capture the types and styles of humor within the memories of Aceh society. To do so, this qualitative study used interviews and document analysis to interview 20 Acehnese people from five districts in Aceh province who experienced the vertical wars in Aceh and analyze written resources. The research found that there are many types and styles of humor that happened unintentionally as the result of the speakers’ mistranslating and miscode-mixing from Acehnese language to Indonesian language during unexpected interactions. Most of the humor occurring during the wars in Aceh fall into the incongruity theory, the verbal pun style, and the self-enhancing style. The findings of the study provide insights on the humorous side of the long wars through communicative interactions in Aceh that are useful to relieve tension when remembering the bitterness of the wars.
