During the course of industry control, pure hysteresis, time-varying,non- linear complex systems often occur. It is ineffective to solve the issues above with the traditional fuzzy control and PID control methods. Against the pure hysteresis, time-varying, non- linear characteristics of Aircraft Deicing Fluid rapid heating system, on the basis of Smith Predictor and traditional PID, a Fuzzy-PID control method is proposed based on an adaptive Smith predictor. In this way, pure hysteresis of the system will be compensated, to reduce the overshoot and enhance the stability of the system. By establishing the mathematical model of Aircraft Deicing Fluid rapid heating system and simulating for the model obtain the simulation results, which have shown that the method is effective, can improve the qualities of control and enhance the stability of temperature control system significantly

The analysis of a problem of development of control systems for objects with big time delay is carried out in this work. For such objects it is difficult to provide high-quality control, because the control is carried on the last status of object’s output. The main setup methods of PID regulators have been examined. Based on this analysis the technique of complete synthesis of the regulator of higher level is given in order to regulate building’s heating system. This work offers a new method of object’s control with distributed delay. As the test bed for the offered structure of control the valve of hot water supply in a heat-node is used. Using the test bed the stability of the system with time delay have been studied, which is controlled by the PID-regulator assisted by Smith Predictor used to compensate the dead time.

This paper presents the design and performance of a robot system that exerts a prescribed tension on fabrics to facilitate the inspection process. The robot system consists of a 3-DOF (degree-of-freedom) robotic hanger and an adaptive controller. In the hanger design, the second link is kept vertical, while that of the previous hanger has a redundant degree of freedom. In addition, this hanger has a shoulder link and a sleeve link that provide convenience for holding the garment. In the controller design, structure friction caused by joints and belt elasticity, which is non-linear in nature, are taken into consideration. Besides, the clothing stiffness also changes non-linearly with extension, which cannot be well handled by simple proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control. Due to these points, the fuzzy logic PID controller is chosen to deal with the non-linear features in this design. After establishing the system, the performance is analyzed by computer simulation, where different conditions are applied to compare fuzzy logic control with conventional PID control. The simulation results show that the fuzzy PID control method is effective in controlling the robot hanger and regulating the garment forces.

A compliant constant-force actuator based on the cylinder is an important tool for the contact operation of robots. Due to the nonlinearity and time delay of the pneumatic system, the traditional proportional–integral–derivative (PID) method for constant force control does not work so well. In this paper, an improved PID control method combining a backpropagation (BP) neural network and the Smith predictor is proposed. Through MATLAB simulation and experimental validation, the results show that the proposed method can shorten the maximum overshoot and the adjustment time compared with traditional the PID method.

This paper presented a new method based on the Fuzzy self - adaptive PID for BLDCM. This method overcomes some defects of the traditional PID control. Such as lower control precision and worse anti - jamming performance. It dynamic model of BLDCM was built, and then design method for TS fuzzy PID model is given, At last, it compared simulation results of PID control method with TS Fuzzy PID control method. The results show that the TS Fuzzy PID control method has more excellent dynamic antistatic performances, as well as anti-jamming performance. The experiment shows that TS fuzzy PID control has the stronger adaptability robustness and transplant.

Aiming at the low precision problem of multi-cylinder cooperative propulsion control in different regions of shield propulsion hydraulic systems under conditions of large load changes, this paper proposes a tracking differentiator and self-adaptive nonlinear PID (TD-NPID) control method to improve the synchronous control characteristics of shield propulsion hydraulic systems. First, the working principles of shield propulsion hydraulic systems were analyzed, and a mathematical model and TD-NPID controller were developed. Then, a simulation model was developed in AMESim-MATLAB environment, and the synchronous dynamic performances of fuzzy PID control, conventional PID control, and TD-NPID control were compared and analyzed. The results demonstrated that the shield propulsion hydraulic system with TD-NPID control had better servo tracking ability and steady-state performance than the systems with fuzzy or conventional PID control, which verified the feasibility of the application of TD-NPID control for the synchronous control of shield propulsion hydraulic systems.

Thermal print head heating realtime temperature fluctuations are too large, often causing damage to the print head heating point, resulting in poor print quality and unsatisfactory print results. Therefore, in order to improve the stability of the thermal print head during printing, and at the same time solve the inefficiency of the traditional single chip microcomputer control of the thermal print head heating method, a field programmable gate array (FPGA) based thermal print head heating control method is proposed. In order to control the core, the intelligent fuzzy PID control algorithm is used to ensure that the temperature of the print head can be stabilized quickly. Through simulation and experimental verification, it is shown that the intelligent fuzzy PID control algorithm greatly improves the temperature stabilization effect, and the time required to reach stability short, not only improve the printing accuracy, but also extend the life of the print head.

A novel variable structure compensation PID control, VSCPID in short, is proposed for trajectory tracking of asymmetrical hydraulic cylinder systems. This new control method improves the system robustness by adding a variable structure compensation term to the conventional PID control. The variable structure term is designed according to sliding mode control method and therefore could compensate the disturbance and uncertainty. Meanwhile, the proposed control method avoids the requirements for exact knowledge of the systems associated with equivalent control value in SMC that means the controller is simple and easy to design. The stability analysis of this approach is conducted with Lyapunov function, and the global stability condition applied to choose control parameters is provided. Simulation results show the VSCPID control can achieve good tracking performances and high robustness compared with the other control methods under the uncertainties and varying load conditions.
