A selection of methods and techniques professional teachers can apply to their own lifelong learning.Education is the key to converting knowledge and experience into practical actions, their analysis and application. It plays a key role in the synthesis of new knowledge into research and innovation. Such thoughts on education were expressed in the resolution of the sixth World Education Congress in 2011. Today, when world education forums are widely discussing how schools can better organise the learning process, when ambitious long-term reforms are being implemented in the Latvian education system—the transition to competency-based educational content and teaching methods—it is essential to assess current situation and to bring innovative methods and techniques to our teachers' own learning process. The new knowledge and experience teachers gain through lifelong learning, through their experience and the understanding of how to share it, can be presented and guided by such methods and techniques that enrich a teacher's emotional and intellectual function. My own research has confirmed my belief that for a teacher to be confident and capable enough to help her students discover the joy of learning and gain new knowledge through the process of education, that teacher must herself have the experience of active learning, insight, and personal growth through the learning process. The author has selected a number of methods and techniques for lifelong learning based on the methods and techniques developed by a number of education researchers (Kolb, 1984; Koķe, 1999; Stueck, 2010; Vedins, 2011; Ščurkova, 2016; Robinson, 2013; Amonašvili, 2017), and on her own experience of leading and developing a professional lifelong education programme for teachers. The model of teacher learning presented here has been used in practice since 2012 and has been well-received. Teachers can develop themselves mentally, emotionally and spiritually through the learning process and in doing so increase their professional value. Objective for the Study. To create a model for teaching professional teachers in the context of their own lifelong learning, to assemble a selection of methods and techniques for professional teachers’ lifelong learning, including several designed by the author, and to assess them.

The article presents a General description of the conflict-free situation of interrogation of participants in criminal proceedings, including the motives of giving bona fide testimony by victims, witnesses, suspects, accused. The importance of considering non-conflict situation of the interrogation due to its specificity related to the need for a differentiated approach to the faithful testimony of the interviewee, as not all of them are reliable. Consideration by investigators and investigators of the motives for giving bona fide testimony by participants in criminal proceedings will help in the selection of tactical and psychological methods and techniques of interrogation.

The book brings together critical considerations and experiences linked to the work of the author, lecturer in restoration at the Florence University Faculty of Architecture, as supervisor of degree theses on restoration. The reflections concern teaching Restoration as a subject, the conditions within which the knowledge and culture of restoration can ripen within our universities and the most recent problems encountered by both the discipline and restoration projects. In the first part of the publication, these aspects are set out in broad and more precisely conceptual and methodological terms in chapters and themed paragraphs which also act as a guide to drawing up degree theses on restoration, as well as a contributing to the didactics and efficiency of the specific discipline. This is followed by a selection of degree theses on restoration discussed in recent years which show the route from the principles, general problems and intervention criteria for every case study to drawing up a project. They are projects that deal with analysis methods and techniques, surveys, specialist restorations, regeneration, and the relationship between old and new. In short, the projects are what gave the final stage in the university education meaning and substance, also in order to acquire fundamental keys to restoration culture and activities in the world after university.

Abstract The paper discusses problems connected with the parameters selection of the proportional-integral observer, designed for reconstruction of magnetic fluxes and angular speed of an induction motor. The selection is performed in several stages that are focused on different criteria. The first stage consists in selecting observer’s gains and provides desired dynamical properties, taking into consideration immunity to disturbances and parameter variations of observed system. The second stage prevents an observer from DC-offset cumulation and instability. The last stage consists in setting the parameters of a speed adaptation mechanism. The impact of different settings on the properties of an observer is illustrated with experimental results, obtained in the multiscalar control system of an induction motor

Title in Portuguese: Métodos e técnicas de mensuração de movimentos migratórios: Goiás e Distrito Federal, 1975-1979 e 1986-1990Abstract: This article discusses methodological procedures used to obtain indicators of standards and levels of migratory movements. The objective is to understand processes for estimating functions of migration based on the Demographic Censuses of 1980 and 1991, and studies that propose methods for estimating migration were analyzed. The proposal by Machado (1993) for calculating specific rates of emigration (TEEx) from data on the last stage of residence is very efficient for estimating migration functions. But adjustments in the calculation of the TEEx are made to obtain more consistent patterns of migratory functions. In the case of the 1991 Brazilian Census, rates were also estimated using data from fixed dates. This article also proposes an analysis of the level of migration using the Total Emigration Rate (TET). These techniques were applied to migration to Goiás and the Federal District, with analysis of the pattern and level of the demographic flows.

The present paper ascertains the functional efficacy of ASHAs and suggests measures for the optimization of their functioning in Punjab. For carrying out the study, different phases included random selection of three districts followed by two health blocks from each district and three sub centres from each block and subsequently one village from each sub centre. List of eligible women who had delivered a baby during the last three months prior to the survey was prepared and at last stage, five women from each village were selected at random. The findings revealed that the norms, including the age limit, educational qualification, residence and marital status set for the selection of ASHAs revealed clear adherence of the NHM guidelines. However two-thirds of the ASHAs were covering a population of more than 1,000 persons. About 90 percent of the ASHAs couldn’t specify their job responsibilities promptly on the activities related to spreading health awareness among adolescents, promoting hygiene practices, generating awareness on preventive measures on RTI/STI, HIV/AIDS, tobacco and alcoholism. About 94 percent of ASHA workers had received drug kit. However there were delays in the replenishment of drugs. As per NHM guidelines, no drug kit has AYUSH medications in it. Inter-sectoral collaboration among the ASHAs, ANMs, PRImembers and AWWs was more or less satisfactory even though ASHAs intervention in VHSNC meeting was not encouraging due to non-cooperation of other stakeholders. For strengthening of the ASHA programme, it is essential that the factors discouraging them are addressed properly.

Introduction: Assessments during rehabilitation of spinal cord injury (SCI) align with the World Health Organization's classifications and national quality requirements. This paper aims to report on the development and first implementation experiences of an institutional standard of assessments performed after newly acquired SCI.Setting: Specialized SCI acute care and post-acute rehabilitation clinic in Switzerland. Methods: A situation analysis of an interdisciplinary post-acute SCI rehabilitation program was performed. The results informed a subsequent consensus-based selection of assessments, and an information and implementation strategy. Linking to the ICF Core Set for SCI in post-acute settings and ICF Generic-30 Set was performed. The Nottwil Standard was piloted for 18 months. Results: Situation analysis: A battery of 41 assessments were irregularly performed during initial rehabilitation after newly aquired SCI. Selection of assessments: A multidisciplinary group of clinicians agreed on 10 examinations, 23 assessments and two questionnaires that make up the Nottwil Standard. In total, 55 ICF categories are covered, including most of the ICF Generic-30 Set categories. The implementation strategy included Executive Board commitment, a structured improvement project, guidelines for documentation and assessments, a manual controlling system, and staff training on the Nottwil Standard. Pilot phase: 54 persons with paraplegia and 42 with tetraplegia (75 male; 21 female) were included. Twenty-seven assessments out of 33 assessments were performed in more than 80% of all observed patients' rehabilitation. Conclusion: Implementation of a standard assessment schedule was feasible but required a well-structured process with good communication strategy and controlling mechanism, and full engagement of involved professions.

Purpose: Developing a procedure for the course of the research process for management science and practice. An original procedure for the course of the research process in management and quality sciences was presented. Design/methodology/approach: Based on the analysis of domestic and foreign literature, as well as the model of the research process, five stages have been defined, which should be included in the procedure of the research process. They included: selection of the research subject, determination of the nature of the research, determination of the transparency of the research purpose, selection of the method of conducting the research, determination of the size of the studied sample. Findings: Taking into account the model of the research process, a procedure for conducting research was developed. Research limitations/implications: The developed procedure is a premise for conducting further research in the direction of assigning research methods and techniques to individual elements of the research process stages in management and quality sciences. Selection of appropriate methods and research techniques will translate into the verification of research hypotheses, such as and answers to research questions. Practical implications: First of all, it is important to develop a procedure for the course of the research process for management science and practice, and then, for individual stages of this process, assign appropriate research methods and techniques. Social implications: The author's procedure for the course of the research process presented in this article is a response to how to operationalize phenomena in the sciences on management and quality and thus translate into research related to Industry 4.0. Originality/value: The developed procedure for the course of the research process allows for detailed familiarization and carrying out of scientific research, and in particular for a precise presentation of the characteristics of the tested entity, dispelling doubts regarding the transparency of the conducted research, appropriate description of the method of conducting the research, and determining the size of the research sample.

Abstract The known method of high nonlinear S-boxes generation based on the gradient descent [Kazymyrov, O. V.: Methods and Techniques of Generation of Nonlinear Substitutions for Symmetric Encryption Algorithms. The thesis for the scholarly degree of candidate of technical sciences, speciality 05.13.21 - - Information security systems, Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics, Kharkiv, 2014. (In Russian)] requires consecutive applications of several criteria for each formed substitution. This paper presents an improvement of the considered method by the appropriate selection of the criteria application order which decreases the required computational power for S-box generation. The proposed modification allows generation of a byte substitution with nonlinearity 104, algebraic immunity 3 and 8-uniformity within approximately 30 minutes of a single PC running time.
