Lately, social distancing has become a trending term, more because of the COVID-19 pandemic that has affected the entire world causing more than 1 million deaths. The world we lived in a few months prior is completely different from what it is now.The lack of any antidotes and the absence of immunity, capable of fighting off the virus has made humans more undefended. Hence, Social Distancing is the only best option for us to protect ourselves from diseases, not limited to COVID-19, that may be transmitted through human contact. Social distancing is a technique that may be used to reduce the rate of new cases during a pandemic outbreak. This publication is focusing on surveillance of public places and detecting whether the people are maintaining social distancing or not. It explains the development of technology through the use of AI-based procedures to detect whether the social distancing norm is followed or not, in any public video stream. The software embedded can distinguish between a person maintaining social distance (marked green) and a person who is not (marked red) and will also keep a count of incidents where social distancing was not followed.

According to the world health organization, social distancing will be proven to be the only solution to fight with COVID-19. In this, an innovative localization method was proposing to track humans ‘position in an outdoor environment based on sensors is proposed with the help of artificial intelligence, this device is handy to maintain a social distancing. Duringcovid-19pandemicsituation, there is a need of maintaining social distance. If any person is approaching us, getting indication to maintain social distance is the need of the hour. Offices, public transports, grocery shops where the social distancing is mandatory. Since we can be cautious in front sideways to maintain the distance sensors are used in this model to alert the person to maintain social distance.

AbstractIn the coronavirus outbreak pandemic by COVID-19, the World Health Organization (WHO) has been issuing several guidelines through all government agencies. In line with those guidelines, social distancing in the population has been a major prevention practice, compelled by all government agencies worldwide. Despite strong recommendations to maintain at least one-and-a-half-meter distance between the persons, the guideline is not scrupulously followed. To overcome this situation, an IoT-based technical solution is proposed through this paper. PIR sensor is used for the detection of a target in the vicinity (1.5 m). Upon violation of social distancing norms, the system will trigger an audio alarm after the detection of the target object. The research paper model is prepared by considering the needs of the people. Many researchers are focusing on tracking affected persons, but few are focusing on the social distancing preventive. The suggested portable device will always notify the person who is violating the norm of 1.5 m. The proposed device will minimize the possibility of transmission and reduce the infection rate of COVID-19. The device uses a PIR sensor depending upon the applicability area of the human being.

SARS-CoV-19 is one of the deadliest pandemics the world has witnessed, taking around 5,049,374 lives till now across worldwide and 459,873 in India. To limit its spread numerous countries have issued many safety measures. Though vaccines are available now, still face mask detection and maintain social distance are the key aspects to prevent from this pandemic. Therefore, authors have proposed a real-time surveillance system that would take the input video feed and check whether the people detected in the video are wearing a mask, this research further monitors the humans for social distancing norms. The proposed methodology involves taking input from a CCTV feed and detecting humans in the frame, using YOLOv5. These detected faces are then processed using Stacked ResNet-50 for classification whether the person is wearing a mask or not, meanwhile, DBSCAN has been used to detect proximities within the persons detected.

Abstract: COVID-19 is a pandemic disease that spread by itself coming in the contact of people. It was initially started from China and now it has been spread all over the world and many casualties have been occurred. Social distancing commonly known as physical distancing is a non-pharmaceutical approach through which it can be reduced. But social distancing only works when people started wearing mask because it can spread by sneezing even having distance among people. So wearing mask is mandatory to stop spreading this virus at its possible extent. In this paper, it has been intended to identify the people who are wearing mask or not. By the help of CCTV camera it can be recognized at the entrance of various public places such as mall, airport, railway station, mart and many more. If facial mask can be recognized effectively with high level of accuracy then it can become mandatory for people who are violating the rules. The proposed system uses Keras and Tensorflow model for identifying whether people are following the rule or not. Tensorflow is a deep learning methodology through which facial mask can be detected with all kind of situations. Proposed system is able to classify whether a person wear a mask or not, it is also able to identify whether people incorrectly wearing mask i.e. partial wearing. It is mandatory to identify whether people are properly using the mask or not. System identify this kind of situation and classified them accordingly. System uses hybrid technique by combining two algorithms i.e. keras and tensorflow. By combining both the systems it can be identified more precisely to identify the rule violations. Keywords: COVID-19, Facial Mask, Convolutional Neural Network, Classifiers, Machine Learning, Image Processing, Pattern Recognition.

In endemic and pandemic situations, governments will implement social distancing to control the virus spread and control the affected and death rate of the country until the vaccine is introduced. For social distancing, people may forget in some public places for necessary needs. To avoid this situation, the authors develop the Android mobile application to notify the social distancing alert to people to avoid increased levels of the endemic and pandemic spread. This application works in both online and offline mode in the smart phones. This application helps the people to obey the government rule to overcome the endemic and pandemic situations. This application uses k-means clustering algorithms to cluster the data and form the more safety clusters for social distancing. It uses artificial intelligence to track the living location by the mobile camera without the internet facilities. It helps the user to follow social distancing even with no internet with user knowledge.

The Novel Coronavirus is the most dangerous and deadly virus in the present century of our living. It brings a serious concern to the life of the person when affected. It is mainly affected when there is less usage of masks and the negligence in following the guidelines that are prescribed by the World Health Organization (WHO). After a large number of cases and deaths WHO announced it as a pandemic. Many countries went in Lockdown for several months concerning the number of cases evolving in their region. This directly affected the economic status of those countries. Several studies suggest many waves of the virus are yet to come. To tackle this some countries after the Coronavirus cases gone down, paved way for the economic activities while following the preventive measures like social distancing to boost their economy. There is a need for an application that can alert the people based on location, that how strict social distancing is followed in that particular location hence they can be a bit more cautious when they are traveling to that location. This not only helps the people but also helps the governing authorities to ensure that strict social distancing is being followed in those particular locations and help in reducing the spread of the deadly virus. Our proposed system will be connected to the social distance detector which has access to a stationary camera retrieves the information of the number of people following and neglecting the social distance in that particular location of the stationary camera in real time. By calculating an index showcasing the ratio of people following the social distance to the people detected and setting a threshold an alert is sent to the user through this application.

Between July 13-24, 2019 the people of Puerto Rico took the streets after a series of corruption scandals shocked the political establishment. The social uprising resulted in the ousting of the Governor of Puerto Rico (Dr. Ricardo Rosselló, Ricky), the resignation of the majority of his staff something unprecedented in the history of Puerto Rico; this period has been called El Verano del 19 (Summer of 19). Social media played a crucial role in both the organization and dissemination of the protests, marches, and other activities that occurred within this period. Puerto Ricans in the island and around the world engaged in this social movement through the digital revolution mainly under the hashtag #RickyRenuncia (Ricky Resign), with a small counter movement under the hashtag #RickySeQueda (Ricky will stay). The purpose of this study is to illustrate the magnitude and grass roots nature of the political movement’s social media presence, as well as their characteristics of the population of both movements and their structures. We found that #RickyRenuncia was used approximately one million times in the period of analysis while #RickySeQueda barely reached 6,000 tweets. Particularly, the pervasiveness of cliques in the #RickySeQueda show concentrations of authority dedicated to its propagation, whilst the #RickyRenuncia propagation was much more distributed and decentralized with little to no interaction between significant nodes of authority. Noteworthy was the role of the Puerto Rican diaspora in the United States of America and around the world, contributing close to 40% of all geo-located tweets. Finally, we found that the Twitter followers of the former governor had indicators of being composed of two distinct populations: 1) those active in social media and 2) those who follow the account but who are not active participants of the social network. We discuss the implications of these findings on the interpretation of emergence, structure and dissemination of social activism and countermovement to these activities in the context of Puerto Rico.

The COVID-19 outbreak has had a serious impact on almost all countries in the world, including Indonesia. In response to this case, various policies began to emerge. Starting from the implementation of work from home, social distancing and physical distancing, until the implementation of large-scale social restrictions (PSBB). overseas investors are busy focusing their finances on the needs of their respective countries to fight the virus. Domestic investment (PMDN) is also predicted to experience a slowdown. The social distancing policy resulted in the community not being able to run the economic system well, especially in the Indonesian investment sector so that the perokoniman namely investment in Indonesia decreased and there were some delays in investment by other countries in Indonesia.
