Higher education institutions are the main institutions in creating young people who can be ready to enter the world of work and industry, and one of the educational programs that take part in vocational education. Vocational education is higher education that is directed at focusing certain applied skills. Harapan Bersama of Polytechnic is one of the vocational education institutions that provides Human Resources (HR) to become the younger generation as practitioners in industry, companies, or other stoke holders. In the D3 Computer Engineering Study Program, each batch can graduate approximately 300 graduates, where each graduate will produce one scientific work from the final project research conducted. Likewise, with students who do practical work (KP), every student who does KP will produce scientific papers. But all the results of this scientific work, namely the research report of the Final Project and the Job Training Report are still being submitted to the Study Program in one compact disk (CD). This turned out to be a problem for the Study Program because from each batch, around 300 compact disks (CDs) were collected from the results of scientific work from the practical work and 300 compact disks (CDs) from the final project research outputs. Physical data in the form of a compact disk (CD) requires a large space for its placement. Meanwhile, the condition of the D3 Computer Engineering study program room makes it impossible to place the physical form. And along with technological developments, this physical form can be replaced by soft files in the form of e-journals or e-reports. This needs to be done in line with the paradigm shift from conventional libraries to e-libraries. With the existence of SIPESTA or the information system for the completion of this Final Project, the results of writing scientific papers are uploaded and become a digital trace of all scientific papers that have been carried out by all D3 Computer Engineering students. And so if this data is needed it will be easy to find because the database has been well managed.

This research stems from the large number of students in the Electronics engineering study program who make inverters in their final project / thesis. Based on the information and observations available, the majority of the tools did not work properly. In this research, an inverter is made using 4 kinds of control modules and different transistor switching circuits. The parameters observed were the waveform and voltage level from the output signal. The results obtained in this study, generally inverter control modules on the market use IC CD-4047-BE with the output in the form of a square wave, and IC ATMEGA 8-16PU from ATMEL with the result in the form of imperfect sinusoid waves (75%). For the EGS-900 controller module, which uses EGS-002 as the main control, it gives an output in the form of an SPWM wave with an input in the form of 24V DC voltage, after passing through the step-up transformer the result is a pure sine wave with a voltage of about 220V with a frequency of 50 Hz.

The existence and quality of higher education nowadays can be influenced by the high and low levels of scientific work owned by lecturers and students. This scientific work becomes very important in the existence and quality of tertiary institutions because it's ranking at the national and international level is calculated on the ownership of the scientific work. So it is not surprising that BAN-PT as an external quality assurance institution which also has the task of assessing the accreditation of higher education also includes its assessment on this matter. Thus higher education that is technically operational at the study program level also pressures lecturers and students to be productive, which is to produce as much scientific work as possible. Even some lecturers provide requirements for students to write a scientific paper when they want to propose a thesis session. However, the number of scientific works owned by lecturers and students will not mean anything when not published in a journal that uses an open journal system. This emphasis lies in the open journal system, where the meaning will be far different from online journals. In general, not many students understand how to submit scientific papers in the form of articles to the open journal system there are still many lecturers who do not understand the process in the open journal system. For this reason, knowledge transfer in the form of technical training to submit articles in the online journal system is carried out. The main goal is to provide knowledge and insight into submitting articles. The results of the activity show the progress of understanding and knowledge, this is proven by simulations through the application of OJS version 2 which is used for the training process by the participants.

<p>Source code readability is a property that influences how easily a given piece of code can be read and understood. Since source code readability can affect software quality, especially maintainability, then programmers must have good sense of writing readable code. For computer science and software engineering student, they have to start learning how to write readable code in order to compete later in the industrial. Unfortunately, computer science and software engineering curriculum promotes understanding the programming paradigms of particular language, compared to write readable code. Based on its importance, we analyzed source code of software written by Education of Informatics and Computer Engineering of Sebelas Maret University students to describe its readability. We determine readability category from source code based on two programming features, variable and function writing. Each programming features involved has its own criteria so that it can be classified in the readable or less readable category. Finally, we discuss the implications of this study on learning process of Education of Informatics and Computer Engineering study program, Sebelas Maret University. For example, our data suggest to use code reviews to teach student about source code readability.</p>
