Sosialisasi Pengelolaan Jurnal Berbasis OJS (Persiapan Jurnal Society Untuk Mahasiswa Sosiologi Fisip UTU)

Many OJS-based journal managers do not understand the steps that should be taken. Many still publish by relying on back issues, even though the applications used are already based on OJS. The important thing that becomes the question is how is the real management of OJS-based scientific journals? For this reason, it is very important to carry out this socialization to increase the capacity of journal managers so that they can be even better and by the applicable standards in OJS. The method of implementation is face-to-face with the presentation of material in the form of material slides. Participants who attended were journaled managers who had frequently opened the OJS application so that in general they understood how the OJS application worked. However, this participant needs to be deepened considering that several steps are often missed in journal management. The results of the socialization showed that the participants had increased their understanding of step by step journal management. This can be seen from the results of discussions or questions and answers at the end of the material presentation session. Thus it can be concluded that the journal society is ready to be operationalized or ready to accept article manuscripts from students.

Penguatan Ekonomi Pemuda Berbasis Kearifan Lokal di Kabupaten Aceh Besar

This community service focuses on freshwater fish (catfish) cultivation. This community service is carried out on the basis of youth needs by involving youth or beneficiaries from planning to evaluation. This community service is carried out by paying attention to local wisdom in Gampong Pante Rawa Aceh Besar. The service method used is problem identification, coordination, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. The results of this community service have had a good impact on the youth of Pante Rawa Aceh Besar village, both in economic, social and educational impacts. This community service provides income economically, builds social networks at the village and stakeholder level. This community service also provides new knowledge for youth about freshwater fish farming.

Sosialisasi Pentingnya Menguasai Bahasa Inggris Bagi Mahasiswa

English is a language that has generally been used as a forum for communication with an international scope, so that English can be said to be universal, where its use is not only a communication bridge in everyday life in the international world but has also penetrated cyber communication. Especially in the current era of globalization, the very fast exchange of information related to scientific developments requires students to have proficiency in mastering English. English proficiency is not only a requirement for students to study abroad, but also for exploring more global knowledge, where available materials such as those in international journals are generally available in English. The problem that arises is that students are constrained in mastering English as a compulsory skill that must be possessed at this time. Therefore, this activity aims to motivate and provide awareness regarding the importance of mastering English among students. This activity was carried out at the FKIP Syiah Kuala University Auditorium which was attended by approximately 120 students. This activity aims to make students more motivated and motivated to hone their mastery of English, so that they have international insights and are useful as a tool to answer the challenges of scientific development in the era of globalization.

Persepsi Mahasiswa Tentang Penggunaan Web Design sebagai Model Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh Selama Pandemi di Perguruan Tinggi Aceh Barat

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), especially in Aceh, it was recorded that 4 thousand children were not able to effectively absorb material from teaching staff during the pandemic period (BPS Aceh, 2020). Therefore, the teaching staff needs to pay attention to the development of creative innovative distance learning models so as to increase the interest of students to keep interacting throughout the lesson hours. One method of distance learning that is believed to be able to increase student interest in learning is a web design designed by the teacher to be as attractive as possible so that students can easily access and study learning materials. The purpose of this study was to see the effectiveness of the Development of Distance Learning Models during the Pandemic with a Life Skills-Based Web Design Approach to i-students in West Aceh District. The subjects of this research are university students in West Aceh, namely Teuku Umar University students, STAIN Dirundeng and STIKIP Bina Bangsa Meulaboh. Participants were selected by purposive sampling so that there were 5 students from each campus. The results showed that most partisipants from three Universities in Aceh Barat responded positively to the use of Web Design as Distance Learning Method. Besides, the result from interview with them, there were four obstacles in distance learning, which are (1) the insufficient knowledge of technologi, (2) Internet signal problem, (3) lack of financial to get the internet quota, anda lastly, (4) unsatisfied material understanding from lecturer because of virtual learning.Keywords: Disctance Learning; Web Design Method

Sosialisasi Fungsi Tuha Peut dalam Menyusun Rencana Kerja Pembangunan Gampong Ujong Drien

Gampong is the lowest government in the government system in Indonesia. In recent years, gampongs or villages have been given great authority in implementing village governance, especially in preparing village / gampong development plans. In implementing the gampong government, the keuchik who leads the gampong government, apart from being assisted by the village secretary and gampong apparatus, is also assisted by a customary institution known as Tuha Peut. One of the functions of tuha peut is given the authority to carry out the joint development planning function with the village keuchik as outlined in the RKPG document. The socialization of tuha peut functions in gampong governance is necessary to provide an in-depth understanding of the duties and functions of tuha peut as partners of the gampong government in implementing the wheels of government and development. The formulation of the problem in this activity is limited to the socialization of tuha peut's function in compiling a work plan for village development (RKPD / G). Public Speaking Dalam Konteks Etika Advokat

Start at the most prestigious and prospective profession. Advocates have an important place in the business world. Apart from being a law enforcer, Advocates are also the only consultants who are relied on and trusted in solving a case at trial. In the provisions of the laws and regulations on Advocates, it is stated that the advocate profession is a profession that is tasked with providing legal services for clients. The activities and scope of activities carried out by Advocates on a daily basis require that Advocates have public speaking skills. Because the ability of an advocate to defend his client is also very much determined by his verbal / speaking skills (Public Speaking). The purpose of implementing this activity is for participants to understand the role and function of Advocates, Advocate code of ethics and the function of additional skills such as public speaking to Advocates. The implementation method is used through the socialization of the Advocate Law, the Advocate's code of ethics and the public speaking function in carrying out the role of an Advocate. The results of the implementation achieved were that participants understood the role, authority and position of an advocate, the scope of the advocate and indicators of public speaking and the use of public speaking.

SOSIALISASI PENGENALAN POTENSI LAUT ALGA COKELAT Sargassum sp SEBAGAI PENGAWET ALAMI MIE ACEH KEPADA MASYARAKAT

Pesisir Aceh Barat memiliki potensi sumberdaya kelautan yang tinggi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup manusia. Salah satu potensi sumberdaya kelautan adalah alga laut Sargassum sp. Spesies Sargassum sp merupakan salah satu jenis rumput laut yang memiliki kandungan antioksidan dan antibakteri yang tinggi. Oleh Karena itu, Peneliti melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat meliputi pendampingan mitra PkM dan Sosialisasi pengenalan alga laut Sargassum sp sebagai pengawet alami. Sebagian produsen mie Aceh memproduksi mie Aceh dalam skala besar sehingga mie Aceh tersebut tidak habis terjual. Hal ini menyebabkan produsen mie Aceh kadangkala menggunakan bahan kimia formalin sebagai pengawet mie Aceh. sementara, formalin merupakan bahan kimia yang berbahaya bagi kesehatan apabila dikonsumsi oleh manusia. Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada mitra dan masyarakat tentang pemanfaatan alga laut Sargassum sp sebagai pengawet alami. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM meliputi pendampingan mitra PkM dan sosialisasi pengenalan potensi alga laut Sargassum sp sebagai pengawet alami Mie Aceh and knowledge transfer. Tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat meliputi survey ketersediaan bahan baku alga cokelat di perairan Aceh Barat, persiapan alat dan bahan untuk kegiatan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat dan pendampingan mitra PkM sebagai bentuk transfer knowledge. Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM ini meliputi pendampingan mitra PkM dan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat. Pertama, peneliti melakukan pendampingan mitra dalam pembuatan mie Aceh dengan menambahkan ekstrak alga cokelat Sargassum sp sebagai pengawet alami. Kedua, peneliti melaksanakan sosialisasi potensi alga laut Sargassum sp kepada masyarakat.

Peningkatan Kapasitas Teknologi Berbasis Android untuk Mitra Send Meulaboh

Keterbukaan terhadap akses ke teknologi sering menjadi kendala bagi pengusaha lokal untuk terus maju dan berkembang. Pengusaha lokal yang merasakan kendala ini adalah mitra layanan pengiriman makanan online di kota Meulaboh yang bernama Send. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh Send yaitu keterbatasan teknologi aplikasi layanan serta keterbatasan akses konsumen dan mitra usaha. Tujuan dilakukannya program pengabdian berbasis riset ini adalah memecahkan masalah mitra Send dengan menciptakan atau merancang sebuah teknologi aplikasi berbasis android yang open source di Google Playstore, dan dapat dengan mudah digunakan oleh pengguna. Secara garis besar, tahap mendesain aplikasi ini dimulai dengan membuat use case diagram, kemudian membuat diagram kelas, diagram aktivitas, dan akhirnya pengembangan antarmuka pengguna yang diterapkan untuk Android. Hasil perancangan aplikasi bernama Ojan dari pengabdian berbasis riset ini berhasil diuji coba pada beberapa smartphone Android. Fasilitas yang dihasilkan oleh aplikasi ini antara lain customer bisa langsung memesan makanan, admin bisa mengetahui lokasi customer, customer bisa mengetahui menu apa saja yang terbaru di warung, jangkauan wilayah pemasaran yang lebih luas, dan driver mengetahui lokasi pesanan dan pesanan apa saja yang sudah dipesan oleh konsumen.

Komunikasi Informasi Edukasi (KIE) Personal Hygiene Pada Usia Anak Sekolah Di Perumahan Budha Tzu Chi

Personal hygine yang kurang baik pada usia anak sekolah dasar akan berisiko mengalami berbagai gangguan kesehatan. Personal hygiene pada anak usia sekolah dasar di perumahan Budha Tzu Shi menunjukkan masih kurang baik. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan dua tahap, pertama adalah dengan memberikan KIE pada anak-anak tentang pentingnya menggosok gigi, memotong kuku, mandi menggunakan sabun dan shampoo, memakai pakaian yang bersih serta mencuci tangan pakai sabun untuk mencegah terjadinya penyakit, dan tahap kedua adalah praktek gosok gigi, memotong kuku dan 7 langkah cuci tangan. Hasil penilaian dari kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan tingkat peningkatan pengetahuan peserta meningkat sebesar 93, % atau 28 orang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari peningkatan pengetahuan peserta pengabdian berkorelasi dengan kemampuan mepraktikkan 7 langkah cuci tangan dengan tepat dan cara menggosok gigi dengan baik.

Pelatihan Pemanfaatan Program Mendeley Dekstop dalam Pembuatan Citasi Karya Ilmiah bagi Mahasiswa di Kabupaten Ponorogo

The development of information technology in the digital era is currently increasing and also influencing the world of education. This also affects students' ability to be able to take advantage of applications relating to the development of digital literacy skills, especially in writing scientific papers. In the world of academia, currently scientific work is one of the demands and even obligations, so it also demands students to follow its developments. The increasing prevalence of plagiarism cases in academia is also a scourge for students, especially for students in the final level of Ponorogo Regency, here the sample is students of Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare from the beginning how literacy procedures properly and correctly through the help of a program application so that later students are able to make good manager references. The method applied in this community service with partners, namely students of Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo, especially in semesters 6 and 8, will be introduced to the Mendeley desktop program application in making citation of scientific papers. The output achieved in this service activity is a national community service scientific journal with ISSN. This community service activity has been successfully carried out for two online meetings. The first online meeting activity provided an explanation of the function of the mendeley desktop program, the function of tools in the mendeley desktop program and assisting students in the use of the mendeley desktop in making scientific papers. At the second meeting, continued assistance was carried out on the use of the Mendeley application and confirmation in making scientific papers with the help of the Mendeley desktop application. Hal ini berpengaruh juga dalam kemampuan mahasiswa untuk bisa memanfaatkan aplikasi-aplikasi yang berkenaan dengan pengembangan kemampuan literasi digital, khususnya dalam penulisan karya ilmiah. Dalam dunia akademisi saat ini karya ilmiah menjadi salah satu tuntutan bahkan kewajiban, sehingga menuntut pula bagi mahasiswa untuk mengikuti perkembangannya. Semakin maraknya tentang kasus-kasus plagiasi dalam dunia akademisi juga menjadi momok bagi mahasiswa khususnya bagi mahasiswa di Kabupaten Ponorogo tingkat akhir, disini sample adalah mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. Oleh karena itu, perlu disiapkan sejak awal bagaimana tata cara literasi dengan baik dan benar melalui bantuan suatu aplikasi program agar nantinya mahasiswa mampu membuat referensi manager dengan baik. Metode yang diterapkan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini dengan mitra yaitu mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo khususnya semester 6 dan 8 akan dikenalkan tentang aplikasi program mendeley desktop dalam pembuatan citasi karya ilmiah. Adapun luaran yang dicapai dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah jurnal ilmiah pengabdian masyarakat nasional ber ISSN. Kegiatan pengabdian ini telah berhasil dilakukan selama dua kali pertemuan secara daring (online). Kegiatan pertemuan daring pertama dengan memberikan penjelasan materi fungsi program mendeley desktop, fungsi tools dalam program mendeley desktop serta pendampingan mahasiswa dalam penggunaan mendeley desktop dalam pembuatan karya ilmiah. Pada pertemuan kedua dilaksanakan pendampingan lanjutan penggunaan aplikasi mendeley serta konfirmasi dalam pembuatan karya ilmiah dengan bantuan aplikasi mendeley desktop.
