La gerencia de una institución educativa conlleva un conjunto de habilidades directivas orientadas a planificar, organizar, coordinar y evaluar la gestión estratégica de aquellas actividades necesarias para alcanzar eficacia pedagógica, eficiencia administrativa, efectividad comunitaria y trascendencia cultural. Por ello, este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar el comportamiento del gerente educativo en el contexto organizacional de la participación comunitaria. La investigación se fundamentó metodológicamente en el paradigma positivista, con un enfoque cuantitativo y un diseño documental de tipo descriptivo. Se utilizó como técnica de recolección de datos la revisión documental y el fichaje y la codificación de los datos. Como técnica de análisis de los resultados se empleó el análisis documental. La gerencia participativa es un modelo organizativo queincluye un desempeño gerencial con una visión diferente en ciertos aspectos básicos proyectados frente al ambiente comunitario, por cuanto, el hombre es un ser social y la escuela es vista como una comunidad. Esta investigación arrojó como conclusión que el comportamiento organizacional se convierte en una herramienta que usa el gerente educativo para lograr los objetivos planteados desde las relaciones interpersonales sanas, entre los docentes, personal administrativo, directivos, estudiantes y la comunidad. Abstract The main objective of this research is to analyze the educational manager’s behavior in the organizational context of community participation. To achieve this purpose, the research was based on the theoretical contributions of specialized literature, as well as on a methodology based on a documentary, analytical, field, non-experimental study. Document analysis, transfer and bibliographic review were used as a technique fordata collection. This research is justified by allowing the educational manager’s behavior be analyzed in the organizational context of community participation, which will enable a greater integration of the school community in the educational institution. Furthermore, offer the educational manager the same information that allows him to improve his performance and achieve educational objectives through the optimization ofits management, this will promote educational excellence. Taking as a conclusion that organizational behavior becomes, then, a tool for the educational manager to achieve the objectives set out from healthy interpersonal relationships, between teachers, administrative staff, managers, students and the community. This paper addresses a notable gap at the intersection of organizational economics and organization science: how does organizational context influence aggregation of individual behavior in organizational decisions? Using basic centralized versus decentralized organizational structures as building blocks for our experimental design, we examine whether assignment of organizational positions, incentive schemes, and structural configuration induce endogenous adaptation in the form of change in reservation levels (bias) or modified discrimination capability in subjects’ behavior. We found that evaluators adapted their reservation and discrimination levels in centralized structures, whereas they did not generally adapt their reservation and discrimination levels when placed in decentralized structures. We identify mechanisms that explain these findings; explain how they influence aggregate, organizational behavior; and discuss implications for research and practice.

Una de las formas de agrupación dentro de los centros de altos estudios, para la gestión de los recursos humanos, que posibiliten el trabajo estratégico, sistémico, humano y eficiente lo constituyen las Facultades Universitarias. El análisis incursiona en algunas reflexiones teóricas sobre la gerencia universitaria por facultades en la actualidad, retomando publicaciones especializadas en dirección empresarial y educativa; así como la experiencia de las autoras en este desempeño. Concluye que la dirección universitaria tiene un valor metodológico significativo al establecer que ésta solo tiene sentido si se relaciona íntimamente y responde al objeto de estudio de la pedagogía, es decir al proceso de formación integral de las personas. ABSTRACT University Faculties constitute one of the ways of grouping within higher education centers for the management of human resources to make strategic, systemic, human and efficient work possible. This analysis involves some theoretical thoughts on university management held by faculties, retaking specialized publications in business and educational management, as well as the experience of more than four decades of the author of this paper. The analysis concludes that university direction has a significant methodological value and it establishes that it makes sense if it is closely related to the object if study of pedagogy, that is, to the people´s integral formation process. Ensure that from the above theoretical review on administrative context and employee productivity in higher education and there is a positive association between work engagement of faculty members and administrative staff motivate the employees in accomplishing their work regardless of any result that they are more productive. Researchers argue the fact that the physical environment of the institutional and administrative, employees effect job perception attitudes and job satisfaction which is in sequence affects the job performance and employee productivity. Improving the work environment in higher educational institution there is a dissatisfaction and complaints of employee while increasing their productivity the more satisfied employee are with their jobs in high performance and productivity.

PurposeEducational management's main task is to achieve learning quality outcomes in acquiring knowledge, scientific skills and social values. This study aims to provide a background on Egyptian thought development in educational management from 1990 to 2020.Design/methodology/approachIn this study, we used the descriptive method to collect and interpret data. This method aims to describe an object of phenomena after data collection, analyze it, identify the conditions and relationships between variables and monitor the challenges arising from Egypt's educational system's problems.FindingsThe results showed the following: (1) the trend toward decentralization of educational management is not fulfill during that period and (2) the district and directorate administration continued to receive administrative instructions from the managerial ladder's highest authorities. The Ministry of Education was in control of policy decision-making processes and administrative and financial responsibilities. Many decisions and laws hinder decentralization, such as centralizing examinations, curricula and teachers' recruitment and transfer.Originality/valueThe challenges of developing educational management are related to the shortage of modern management methods in administrative leadership, organizational behavior and decision-making, such as human relations and decentralized administration. Also, the insufficient material resources, managerial competencies and educational, intellectual stagnation among many leaders and administrators.

The quality assurance and development of an educational institution depends on the quality of the headmaster as an educational leader. Therefore, the headmaster are required to be more creative, innovative and dynamic in line with changes in society that are increasingly fast and open. This study aims to analyze the role of principal leadership in supporting quality assurance at SMA YP 17 Surabaya. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. From the results of the study it can be concluded that in supporting quality assurance, the leadership of the head of SMA YP 17 Surabaya is supported by the character of strong responsibility, courage in making decisions, and participation in implementing policies. The headmaster has made several important efforts in supporting the quality assurance of the institution by developing the curriculum, human resources, infrastructure and increasing community participation. In managerial terms, the development of the quality of the institution is supported by good coordination with the academic community and the existence of togetherness in curriculum management and learning. In order for quality assurance to be more effective, the headmaster must periodically evaluate every program that has been implemented. The aim is to measure the level of success and find out the deficiencies of the program being implemented. Furthermore, the headmaster needs to conduct more massive socialization of the institution to the community. This is an effort to increase community participation in efforts to develop the quality of schools in the future.

Resumen A pesar del avance importante en el uso de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) en la enseñanza de la educación media, la literatura muestra un amplio desarrollo en matemáticas, pero una gran limitación en otras temáticas como las ciencias naturales y las sociales. En el presente trabajo, se describe el desarrollo de una unidad didáctica basada en un ambiente virtual colaborativo usando eXe Learning, e incorporando diferentes estrategias educativas, con el objetivo de apoyar la enseñanza del curso de Biología, siendo el tema central la Reproducción en los Seres Vivos. Dos grupos de octavo grado, de una Institución Educativa, fueron evaluados sobre el conocimiento del tema mencionado. El análisis de varianza muestra que el grupo usuario del aplicativo obtiene un mejor rendimiento académico sobre el grupo patrón. Una evaluación tanto del aplicativo como de su Manual de Usuario, mostró que ambos son de fácil entendimiento y uso. Se concluye que las estrategias metodológicas basadas en TIC son un apoyo importante en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje en el curso de Biología. Palabras Clave: Ambiente Virtual Colaborativo, TIC, eXe Learning, Ciencias Naturales, Biología.   Abstract Despite significant progress in the use of Communication and Information Technology (CIT) in teaching secondary education, the literature shows a wide development in mathematics, but a limitation on other issues such as the social and natural sciences. In this paper, we describe the development of a teaching unit based on a collaborative-virtual-environment using by eXe Learning, and incorporating different educational strategies, in order to support the teaching of biology course, being the central theme in living beings reproduction. Two groups of eighth grade, of an educational institution, were evaluated on the above subject knowledge. The analysis of variance showed that the application user group obtained better academic performance over the non-user group. An evaluation both Applicative and its User’s Manual, showed that they are both easy to understand and use. It was concluded that the methodologies based on ICT are an important support in the biology course’s teaching-learning process. With the upsurge of "emotional storm" in the field of organizational behavior, the studies on individual emotions in organizational context are rising. Especially the relationship between emotions and knowledge innovation has attracted much attention by scholars. In particular, individual emotions may exert great effect on knowledge innovation whereas the mechanism is still unclear. Based on the emotional event theory, this paper constructs a model which explores the interaction of positive and negative emotions with individual knowledge innovation. Based on questionnaire data analysis, the results show that knowledge sharing partly mediate the relationship between positive emotion and knowledge innovation as well as the relationship between negative emotion and knowledge innovation; team trust accentuates the relationship between positive emotion and knowledge innovation as well as the relationship between negative emotion and knowledge innovation. The above findings are helpful to clarify the impact mechanism of emotions on knowledge innovation.

The article addresses the problem of immigration of international students in the Chilean educational system, collecting empirical evidence regarding the challenges of directive management and pedagogical management that the process of installing the new public educational institution in Chile faces. In this framework, the objective of the work is to elaborate a typology of the forms of implementation of the migratory policy at the school level, of the procedures adopted by the educational management and, finally, of the teaching practices related to the inclusion of immigrants. For this purpose, the analysis is carried out, from the Grounded Theory perspective, of semi-structured interviews applied to directive teachers and classroom teachers of school establishments, regarding situations in the context of which they have had to attend to emerging needs from the presence of international immigrant students. Finally, it ends by underlining the need to move from the stage of respect for rights to that of full recognition of the dignity of international immigrants.

This article is devoted to the study of the issues of identifying the optimal working conditions of a teacher of a higher educational institution and the significant characteristics of the style of his activity (in particular, the peculiarities of the style of self-regulation) allows us to identify the factors that prevent the development of professional burnout. The significance of the work also lies in the possibility of using the results of the study both in the process of preventing professional burnout of teachers, and in conducting scientific research on such topics. The research materials can become the basis for educational work. In this regard, an experimental study is becoming relevant, the purpose of which is to study the influence of professional burnout on the individual style of pedagogical activity of a higher school teacher.
