Knowledge and knowledge driven learning determines the organizational ability to achieve sustainable competitive advantage. To excel in business, organizations need to develop processes that facilitate streamline information flow resulting in enhanced learning. This paper investigates the learning capabilities demonstrated by Indian organizations and for the differences between business excellence awarded and non-awarded organizations. This paper examines the impact of Knowledge Management (KM) dimensions on Learning Organization (LO) and tests if the impact is significantly different for these groups. A convenience sample of 57 executives from 16 Indian organizations participated in the study. The results show that organizations awarded for business excellence fare better on all items of LO as compared to non-awarded ones. However, statistical difference is found only in Vision and Strategy and Performance Improvement Process. The results show that most of the KM dimensions have a positive impact on LO dimensions.

The research topic addressed in this study concern the application of knowledge management systems (KMSs) in higher education institutions. While, in the first part of this work, a theoretical model of KMS was proposed, in this second part an empirical study is conducted to test this model. The proposed model has three main elements: inputs (different types of knowledge), process (the four functions: acquire, capitalise, disseminate and use) and outputs (the three performance perspectives: customer satisfaction, operational excellence and direction of the product). On the basis of a functional analysis we propose hypotheses, which allow us to study the relations of cause and effect between knowledge management (KM) and the performance of the university. The model is tested by surveys to be carried out in some Algerian universities by the students. After, a complete analysis (descriptive, exploratory (EFA), confirmatory (CFA), correlation, regression and finally SEM) of the data obtained by the completed questionnaires, the results permit to provide empirical evidence for some of the proposed hypotheses and confirm that KM has a positive effect on performance. A high intensity of KM activities has a significant positive influence, directly or indirectly, on university performance. The results of this empirical study indicate that policies encouraging (1) interactions between different actors, and (2) student participation in decision-making for the development of new programs/courses would increase student satisfaction and ensure pedagogical, management and openness excellence that ultimately contribute to performance of the university. Furthermore, KM must be programmed as part of the holistic management process of the university, and the activities of KM should therefore be managed in the same way as other university processes.

SPSS program was used for statistical input, processing and analysis of the data. The results showed that strategic intelligence has an impact on achieving competitive advantage. The results also showed that the strategic intelligence level of the Palestinian universities leaders is (81%), while the competitive advantage rate was (75%). Results also showed that there is no statistically significant difference between the respondents' responses about the level of strategic intelligence of academic leaders in achieving competitive advantage, according to the study variables (the administrative level, the university). The study investigated the impact of religion and poverty on sexual coercion experienced among University female students in Nigeria Universities. The descriptive design of the survey type was employed for the study. The sample consisted of 1,200 sexually coerced female students, selected from nine universities drawn from South West using purposive sampling technique, simple random and stratified random sampling techniques. An instrument titled ‘Sexual Coercion Questionnaire’ was used. Test re-test method was used to establish the reliability of the instrument. The reliability coefficient of 0.75 was obtained. Analysis of Variance and t-test were used to test the hypotheses generated at 0.05 level of significance. It was revealed that sexual coercion experienced by female university students will depend on the type of religion practiced. It was also found that perpetrators will sexually coerce female students irrespective of their financial status. It was therefore recommended that the intensity of religious activities must be increased in Nigerian universities. More so, Professional Counselors should team up with the University administrators to fight sexual coercive behaviours among University Students and that anyone found guilty of sexual coercion should be punished.

This study aimed at assessing the reality of special education centers management in the light of the learning organization approach through the perspective of its staff and recognizing the effect of some variables in the responses of the sample’s members. To realize this purpose, the descriptive approach was used through collecting and analyzing the data of this problem by using a scale to assess the reality of special education centers management after being developed by the two researchers and divided into four domains. The sample consisted of (177) workers in special education centers: (52) administrators and (125) teachers. The results indicated that the private education centers management practices the domains of the learning organization with high estimation level as the first rank was taken by the domain of organizational structure flexibility and the domain of work teams. The third rank was occupied by the domain of knowledge management while the domain of sustained education took the fourth rank. The results also revealed the absence of statistically significant effect for the responses of the sample’s members due to the impact of gender variable, the presence of an effect of the work capacity for the work capacity variable in favor of the administrators, the presence of an effect for the years of experience variable in favor of the category of experience for more than 10 years and the presence of an effect of the academic qualification variable in favor of post graduate studies.
