"Stories about ghosts/undeads The present text brings into discussion the supernatural beings that still haunt the collective mentality of the inhabitants of the land of Zarand. Ghosts, because it’s them we are talking about, are still part of the stories of the elderly who remember their encounters with them. Unwanted in the village world and blaming them for the various misfortunes facing the community, people have developed practices to help them identify these beings, but also to remove them. Thus, since the birth of certain children who have a malformation of the spine, it is believed that they are undead. Sometimes, during life, because of curses or pacts with the devil, people lose their souls, so that, after death, they do not find their peace and continue to come to haunt those who are alive. People told us about these meetings, presenting the practices by which undeads are removed: through witchcraft, with the help of priests or through divine intervention. People do not want these returns of dead people, even if they are their beloved ones. Once dead, man loses his human status, these returns disturbing the peace of the village, and can cause strong imbalances: disease, famine, death of people and animals. Only after these beings are defeated, the life of the villagers’ returns to normal, keeping only the memory of the events that disturbed the peace. Elderly integrated service pos is an integrated service post for elderly people (elderly) in a certain area that has been agreed by society. Cadres integrated service post have an important role in mobilizing elderly to come to integrated service post. In  Village of Suka Raya the number of elderly as many as 338 people from the total population 4291 people. Activity Posyandu elderly in Villege of Suka Raya less desirable by elderly who really need basic health services, so many elderly in the Village of Suka Raya experiencing health disturbances. This community service uses methods of counseling, training, application and assistance in the use of infrared addressed at cadres integrated service post in Village of Suka Raya. The aim of this Community Service is that integrated service post cadres understand and are able to provide maximum service to the elderly who come to integrated service post. The results of this Community Service show that there is an increase in elderly visits to integrated service post by 30%. It is expected that integrated service post cadres and elderly families can participate actively in helping to increase the elderly visit to the integrated service post of elderly.

While the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic continues to strike and collect its death toll throughout the globe, as of 31 January 2021, the vaccine candidates worldwide were 292, of which 70 were in clinical testing. Several vaccines have been approved worldwide, and in particular, three have been so far authorized for use in the EU. Vaccination can be, in fact, an efficient way to mitigate the devastating effect of the pandemic and offer protection to some vulnerable strata of the population (i.e., the elderly) and reduce the social and economic burden of the current crisis. Regardless, a question is still open: after vaccination availability for the public, will vaccination campaigns be effective in reaching all the strata and a sufficient number of people in order to guarantee herd immunity? In other words: after we have it, will we be able to use it? Following the trends in vaccine hesitancy in recent years, there is a growing distrust of COVID-19 vaccinations. In addition, the online context and competition between pro- and anti-vaxxers show a trend in which anti-vaccination movements tend to capture the attention of those who are hesitant. Describing this context and analyzing its possible causes, what interventions or strategies could be effective to reduce COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy? Will social media trend analysis be helpful in trying to solve this complex issue? Are there perspectives for an efficient implementation of COVID-19 vaccination coverage as well as for all the other vaccinations?

Meursault from L’Étranger, and “Elle” from Hiroshima mon amour are tragic characters who, as if driven by an ancient fatum, have committed a crime, blood crime or crime of love, for which they must pay. While the first is accused of insensitivity and sentenced to death because justice sees him as a “moral monster”, the second is found guilty of “horizontal collaboration” and punished by “popular justice”. From then on, locked up in a cell for Meursault, or alternately in a room and a cellar for “Elle”, these two characters seek the faces and voices of past loves. The quest for these faces and voices from a bygone world which make the protagonists suffer by their absence will give way for Meursault and “Elle” to a state of peace that will allow them to come to terms with their past. While the first character, who has changed in prison, is going to rediscover his mother and finally understand her desire to reembrace life in the home for the elderly, the second character, “healed” by the Japanese, will finally find a sentimental balance.

<p>嘉義縣民雄鄉山中村1(舊稱牛斗山或牛稠山),因牛稠溪域流經村莊而得此名,早期是全鄉人口最大村。山中村宗教信仰普遍為民間信仰,村莊主廟為廣濟宮,以奉祀池府王爺、媽祖、鄭成功為主,但村莊發展及信仰主體係圍繞池府王爺。本文採用文獻分析、田野調查及立意取樣後進行深度訪談,以探討山中村祭祀圈之形成,以及村民如何理解不同神靈之內涵,進而有助於山中村之社區發展與文化資源保存。</p> <p>藉由祭祀圈概念切入,以理解山中村社區各神靈祭祀圈的範圍與分布,進而探討地方社區信仰中心發展,與山中村民對不同神靈認知及意義之解讀。經研究發現:(一)隨著人口增加及集居地擴大,主廟的祭祀圈變大;由於廟務活動增加,牛斗山土地公廟的祭祀圈擴大;五營中的東、西兩營,未隨著社區的新增而往外遷移,因此祭祀圈無明顯變化。(二)山中村神靈祭祀圈的分布,「五營」與居民輪祀居住的地理範圍有關,原具有分群概念的輪祀傳統逐漸模糊:老者對此模糊;中年人認知些許;青年則不明白為何奉祀,宗教信仰傳承出現斷層的可能。(三)山中村民對不同祭祀圈神靈解讀有所異同,普遍難闡述神靈的由來及背景,較理解者屬老年人;其次為中年人;青年人則對神靈認知不清楚。(四)不同祭祀圈神靈意義與山中村民早期生活環境較有其關聯性,老年人多數提及身體健康及平安;中年人求財運、事業;青年人求課業順利。據此,就結論提出建議以供參考。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p><p>Shanzhong Village (formerly known as Niudou Mountain or Niuhou Mountain) in Minxiong Township, Chiayi County, got its name because the Niuhou Stream passed through the village. In the early days, it was the village with the largest population in the township. For the Guangji Palace, it is mainly dedicated to the worship of Lord Chifu, Mazu and Zheng Chenggong (Cheng Ch&rsquo;eng-Kung), but the village development and belief system surrounds Lord Chifu. This paper uses literature analysis, field investigations, and intentional sampling to conduct in-depth interviews to discuss the formation of the mountain village sacrificial circle and how the villagers understand the connotation of different gods, which can help the community development and cultural resource preservation of the mountain village. </p> <p> Through research, the concept of the religious field was cut in to understand the scope and distribution of the religious fields of the various deities in the Shanzhong Village community, and to discuss the development of local community faith centers and the understanding and meaning interpretation of the different deities of the Shanzhong villagers. The research found: (1) The religious realms become bigger because the population of village was increased;on the other side, Shanshang Viallage&rsquo;s religious realms become wilder due to the increase of temple actives. However, for the &quot;five camps&quot;, the east and west side of the deities&rsquo;s emissary did not extend so the Religious Realms can not protect the new village, (2) The distribution of the spiritual field in the Shanzhong village, the &quot;&quot;five camps&quot;&quot; are more closely related to the geographical scope of the residents&rsquo; rotation worship. The tradition of rotation worship with the concept of grouping is gradually blurring, and the old people are blurring; Understand why there is a possibility that there is a fault in the inheritance of religious beliefs; (3) Villagers in the mountains have different interpretations of deities in different religious fields, and it is generally difficult to understand the origin and background of deities, older than those who understand; older than middle-aged; more young Unrecognizable to the gods; (4) The significance of the gods in different religious fields is more related to the early life environment of the villagers in the mountains. The elderly have significant health and safety; the middle-aged people seek wealth and career; the young people seek smooth schooling .Then refer to the above research results to make research suggestions.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

For many Romans, life was short. In consequence, the young greatly outnumbered the elderly. Historians have long accepted these basic truths, even if they are only beginning to come to terms with the social implications of an alien demographic regime. But how short is ‘short’, and how many Romans were children, how many adults? Does it matter, and can we know?The importance of demographic structure is not in doubt. High mortality causes scarce energy resources to be wasted in pregnancies and nursing, and poses a disincentive to investment in education. It destabilizes families and households, exposes orphans and widows to risk and potential hardship, and shortens the time-horizons of economic activity. In the long term, average life expectancy is the principal determinant of fertility. Poor chances of survival trigger high birth rates to ensure genetic survival. High fertility, in turn, is negatively correlated with the status and well-being of women, and constrains female participation in economic and public affairs. Overall age structure, in conjunction with cultural practices from marriage to child care, determines the prevalence of orphans and widows, and affects the age-specific distribution of fertility. In sum, age structure is instrumental in framing and shaping expectations and experiences. For this reason alone, our understanding of life in the Roman world is critically dependent on our knowledge of demographic conditions.

Cosmogonies and mythopoesis in the Balkans and beyondCompared and contrasted in this article are three different types of accounts dealing with the cosmogonic and eschatological themes employed in Slavonic and Balkan oral tradition, para-Biblical literature and modern poetry. The focus of analysis is the cluster of motifs attested in the creation narrative of the apocryphal Legend of the Sea of Tiberias. Two versions are examined: the South-Slavonic one discovered in 1845 by V. Grigorovich in the Monastery of Slepche, and the 18th century Russian account from MS № 21.11.3 (fols. 3a–5b) from the Archaeographic Department of the Library of the Academy of Sciences [Библиотека Академии наук, Рукописный отдел] in St. Petersburg, composed most probably by an Old Believer; this manuscript is published here for the first time. Folklore counterparts of the apocryphal Legend of the Sea of Tiberias are treated, with special emphasis on the oral narratives from the Bulgarian diaspora in Bessarabia (God and the Devil Create the World Amicably but then Fall Out). Finally, a poem of the 20th century Bulgarian intellectual Pencho Slaveykov [Пенчо Славейков] from his anthology “On the Island of the Blessed” is discussed; the poem, entitled How God willed the Earth to come to be and what did Satanail do after that? was designated by Slaveykov himself as “a legend of the Bogomils”, and blended within his lyrics are dualistic themes and motifs attested in vernacular Christianity, with the hallmark of Haeresis Bulgarica. Kosmogonie i mitopoetyki na Bałkanach i nie tylkoW artykule zostały porównane trzy typy narracji zawierających wątki kosmogoniczne i eschatologiczne, które funkcjonują w słowiańskiej i bałkańskiej tradycji ustnej, literaturze parabiblijnej oraz poezji doby modernizmu. Przedmiotem uwagi stała się grupa motywów poświadczonych w narracji o stworzeniu, znanej z Legendy o Morzu Tyberiadzkim. Analizom poddane zostały dwie wersje: południowosłowiańska, odkryta w 1845 roku przez W. Grigorowicza w Monastyrze w Slepče, oraz ruska – z XVIII wieku, znajdująca się w kodeksie MS № 21.11.3 (fols. 3a–5b), przechowywanym w Oddziale Rękopisów Biblioteki Akademii Nauk w Sankt Petersburgu – skomponowana najprawdopodobniej w środowisku staroobrzędowców (rękopis ten jest tu publikowany po raz pierwszy). Następnie przeprowadzona została analiza odpowiedników folklorystycznych apokryficznej Legendy o Morzu Tyberiadzkim, ze szczegól­nym uwzględnieniem narracji ustnych funkcjonujących w bułgarskiej diasporze w Besarabii (Bóg i Diabeł tworzą świat w przyjaźni ale potem stają się wrogami). Na końcu został poddany interpretacji poemat z XX wieku autorstwa bułgarskiego modernisty Penczo Sławejkowa [Пенчо Славейков] z antologii Na wyspie błogosławionych [На острова на блажените]; poemat ten, zatytułowany Jak Bóg zezwolił, aby powstała ziemia i co potem uczynił Satanael?, został nazwany przez samego autora „legendą Bogomiłów”, i skompilowany w jego tekstach z dualistycznymi motywami występującymi w chrześcijaństwie tego regionu, a rozpoznawa­nymi jako haeresis bulgarica.

Child Tracking System is a mobile application where the parent can monitor their children location in crowded environments. In addition to children, there is also the elderly people, and the disabled people, so the guidance or the person responsible of them can use this application to track their location. The parent or guidance side will have the application in which they can track, and on the other side, the child or the old person or the disabled person will have device that includes the GPS chip. The main goal of this research is to design an application with system that will help parents to keep track of their children, eventually reducing the cases in which the children or the other mentioned categories of people could be lost. The current used solution to this problem is that the children first have a wearable hand wrist in which they print their parent phone number, so when the child is lost there is a center in which the child is being taken and dealt with care till they contact the parent to come and pick the child up. The problem with the current way that it takes time, and there is a risk that child get totally lost or kidnapped before even reaching to any help, so the new way is better to even prevent them to go far away or to be lost for hours, thus the recovery here will be fast unlike the regular used way nowadays. That goal will be achieved throw systematically objectives starting from studying the existed systems, to planning and analysing, going to designing and implementing, and lastly, testing our own system.

The number of women in Ngembat sub-village is quite large, both from adolescence to the elderly, but most of them are only housewives who are not economically productive. Everything depends on the husband who works as a farm laborer and builder. Women in Ngembat sub-village have a lot of free time that can be used for productive activities. The ecoprint training held during the Community Outreach Program (COP) is the development of DKV 4 courses that implement creative-sociopreneurship learning. This subject emphasizes the aspects of entrepreneurship in the field of creative industries by utilizing local strengths. Natural resources that exist around Ngembat sub-village can be utilized as products of economic value. Abundant teak leaves due to the vast size of teak forests can be a source of income for women on the sidelines of carrying out their domestic duties in the household. Free time while waiting for children to come home from school and their husbands from work can be used to empower themselves by producing creative products and economic value. Thus, not only does women's knowledge and skills improve, but the family economy can also improve

The general theme of the 2020 Community Service Program is “Community Empowerment”. Meanwhile, the special theme is "Entrepreneurship". The implementation time starts from August 3 to September 3, 2020, in Onekore Village, Ende Tengah District, Ende Regency. On the program. With this special theme, the main activity carried out is supporting entrepreneurship in Onekore Village. The purpose of implementing this activity is that students are expected to gain learning experience through direct involvement in the community in finding, formulating, solving, and overcoming problems in the field. In this KKN activity, the problems found were the lack of utilization of existing garden products, namely bananas. So far, it is consumed by boiling or eating it without further processing. Olso besides, we also found woven products from weaving that were difficult to market. Students socialize and practice entrepreneurship as an effort to solve problems faced by weaving craftsmen. Efforts made to help the household economy include making flower pots and making wallets made from woven fabrics. Supporting activities during the Community Service Program are assisting with the administration of the Village, community service, building a gate for the Indonesian Independence Day, making sample gardens, socializing COVID-19 and, health service for the elderly.
