This study aims to determine the differences in student achievement who are taught using interactive multimedia drills model with students who are taught using science comic media. This type of research is experimental research. The population in this study is all students of class VII MTs. The State of Selong Model and the sampling was determined by using cluster random sampling technique to select the class and simple random sampling to select the students in that class. The second sampling technique is random sampling by drawing lots, cluster random sampling, namely the class is divided into experimental class I, namely the class that is taught using interactive multimedia drills model (class VII-E) and the experimental class II, namely the class that is taught using comic media. science (class VII-F), each of which consists of 36 students. And simple random sampling, where students are drawn after data collection to reduce the sample to 30 students to facilitate hypothesis testing. The data collection technique used post-test while the data analysis technique to test the hypothesis was the t-test. The results of data analysis using t-test showed that there were differences in student achievement who were taught using interactive multimedia drills model with students who were taught using science comic media. This can be seen in the post-test results where t-count > t-table is 2.206 > 2.002. Thus H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there are differences in student achievement who are taught using interactive multimedia drills model with students who are taught using science comics

The purpose of this paper is to access healthcare institutions and the welfare experience of patients and workers in public Secondary and Tertiary Hospitals in Rivers State, with ownership across Federal Government, State Government and the Military. From a stratified sampling technique, a representative survey sample of 90 respondents was involved. Our findings shows that Tertiary hospitals in Rivers state relies on funding by Federal Government, State Government, internally generated funds and grants, in their decending order. Budgetary cut on health institution is perceived to reduce service delivery and health workers motivation, though a cut in funding is expected by few, as a result of the prevalent fall in global oil price. The analysis also shows that the price of health services and medicines have increased in recent times, but we could not establish the symptom of inflation on the prices of healthcare consumption. It was established that the level of qualified health workers without gainful employment has slightly increased, owing to low absorptive capacity of government owned hospital, low renumeration from non-public-owned hospitals. The study found that the populace prefers public hospitals over private hospitals, mainly because of affordability and availability of specialists. Although there is evidence of inadequate workforce, bureaucratic holdup and poor ambience. The study concludes that the government is the provider of very affordable and quality healthcare in Nigeria. It was therefore recommended that there should be proper accountability by the hospital management on the proceeds and expenses. Efforts should be made to strenghten internally generated revenue, while a public-private partnership, improved efficiency and quality of service delivery will attract funds.

A refocus on agriculture is considered a pertinent resort for the youths because it is generally believed to be a panacea for sustainable development in any nation. To help generate suitable policies to encourage youth farmers to be involved in agricultural activities, the study analysed factors that influence youth farmers’ participation in agricultural activities in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Through a list of farmers obtained with the assistance of Akwa Ibom State Agricultural Development Programme, 120 youth farmers were randomly selected for the study using simple random sampling technique. The study used descriptive and inferential tools to analyse information collected. The majority (59.2%) of youth farmers were male and 42.5% were between the ages of 36-39 years. Only 8.3% had access to credit. About 71% of the youth farmers were involved in on-farm activities and only 29.2% in both on- and off-farm activities. The major determinants of youth agricultural activities were household size and membership of social organizations. The state government and other relevant agencies and organizations should create platforms to educate youth farmers on the need for more involvement and diversification in their agricultural livelihood strategies.
