Today, we are witnessing the effects that the COVID-19 pandemic has had, and is still having, on social, economic and cultural life worldwide. In particular, the educational dimension has seen the regular operating of schools altered, with an indeterminate closure of educational institutions, as well as the impossibility to perform face-to-face lectures, and their transposition to digital platforms (Sà et Serpa, 2020). These difficult conditions can be a moment of opportunity to accelerate a process of digital transformation that was beginning to shift in higher education institutions (HEIs).  HEIs are using digital transformation strategies to refine how they work, to digitalize their existing operations while designing new digital models, to create entirely new digital models or to fully digitize their current ones (Rodrigues 2017). In the European fashion education system this can result in addressing the transformative challenges that are nurturing the discussion on the future of HEIs (Moja, 2008; Sterling, 2011; Fletcher and Williams, 2013). Therefore, digital innovation becomes the means by which implementing a positive transformation of the sector on key issues that will permeate our daily lives and that can no longer be postponed. Among the pivotal topics there is sustainability which today is slowly trying to establish itself (Wolff, 2020).   Trough the analysis of best practices, this paper will decode current behaviors in Fashion Design for Sustainability (FDfS) throughout the European fashion education system.

This commentary discusses the political economy of apps. The authors found that Canadian-made game apps are notably absent in the Canadian App Store. This should be both worrying and surprising, as Canada has a relatively sizable game industry. While policy conversations on digital transformation focus on emerging technology, the authors point toward the power and politics of digital platforms as one of the key issues preventing growth in the Canadian digital economy.Ce commentaire discute de l’économie politique des applications. Les auteurs ont observé que les applis de jeu fabriqués au Canada sont absents de l’App Store canadien. Cette situation devrait surprendre et inquiéter, puisque le Canada a une industrie du jeu relativement grande. Les conversations sur les politiques relatives à la transformation numérique portent en grande partie sur les technologies émergentes, mais les auteurs tiennent à souligner que le pouvoir et les politiques relatifs aux plateformes numériques sont parmi les raisons clés pour lesquelles l’économie numérique au Canada ne croît pas autant qu’elle le pourrait.

This paper describes a case of an international student online project. The project was a part of cooperation between two European educational institutions, 0stfold University College in Norway and University of Wismar in Germany. An international student group consisting of three German students and five Norwegian students joined this project. Technically, the project was testing of an open source based online platform, LearnLoop (http://www.learnloop.org/). Organizationally, the project was used as a preparing phase for German visiting students, as well as international openings for Norwegian students. The project topic was focused on international communication and environment issues. As a result, the German students were able to getting familiar with Norway and Norwegian education system, and working methods. The Norwegian students also acquired international experiences by working this project with their German costudents. This paper describes the process of this joint international student project, and presents the detailed analysis of online activities, as well as offline student activities throughout the project phases.

The article analyzes the development of the education system of Ukraine, taking into account the potential of digitalization in the context of globalization. A specific object of research is the process of transformation of the education system through the introduction of digital services and technologies. In order to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the digitalization potential of the educational system of Ukraine, the disadvantages and advantages of digitalization of educational institutions are analyzed using the example of the implementation of distance learning. The process of digitalization of modern education under the influence of the process of universal computerization and the requirements of the modern information society is considered. Examples of modern computer technologies that are already used in the learning process, their impact on society are given. The scheme of the implementation of international experience in Ukrainian educational institutions is given, the norms and directives of the EU governments in the formation and development of the European Higher Education Area are analyzed. The description of international projects to be implemented by universities is presented. The elements of E-learning are introduced into the educational process based on the results of the projects, including measures aimed at improving the quality of educational services and the qualifications of the teaching staff: a series of trainings related to modern teaching methods of education, practical seminars for teachers and students, etc. Structural model of the functioning of the electronic knowledge platform is presented, elements of the platform for providing educational activities in the field of digitalization in Ukraine are described. Based on a review of publications, regulatory requirements and directives, the article discusses the trends in the process of digital transformation of Ukraine.

In India educational institutions are currently grounded only on traditional methods of learning, they follow the traditional arrangements of face-to-face learning methods in a classroom. Although many educational institutions at different levels (Schools, Colleges, Universities) have also started blended learning, still most of them are stuck with the procedures which are yet to rejuvenate. The sudden burst of CoronaVirus (SARS-CoV-2) shook the entire world and has interrupted all facets of our daily lives. This situation challenged the education system across the world and forced educators to shift to an online mode of teaching overnight. Many academic institutions that were earlier indisposed to change their traditional pedagogical approach had no option but to shift entirely to online teaching-learning. This study elucidates the importance of online learning and elaborates opportunities & challenges of e-learning modes in the time of crisis. This research piece sheds some light on the growth of IT-enabled tools (EdTech) during the time of the pandemic. In concluding interpretations this research article places suggestions for academic institutions on how to deal with challenges associated with online learning.

Digital transformation has led to changes in business models of traditional players in the existing markets. What is more, new entrants and new markets appeared, in particular platforms and multisided markets. The emergence and rapid development of platforms are caused primarily by the existence of so called indirect network externalities. Regarding to this, a question arises of whether the existing instruments of competition law enforcement and market analysis are still relevant when analyzing markets with digital platforms? This paper aims at discussing advantages and disadvantages of using various tools to define markets with platforms. In particular, we define the features of the SSNIP test when being applyed to markets with platforms. Furthermore, we analyze adjustment in tests for platform market definition in terms of possible type I and type II errors. All in all, it turns out that to reduce the likelihood of type I and type II errors while applying market definition technique to markets with platforms one should consider the type of platform analyzed: transaction platforms without pass-through and non-transaction matching platforms should be tackled as players in a multisided market, whereas non-transaction platforms should be analyzed as players in several interrelated markets. However, if the platform is allowed to adjust prices, there emerges additional challenge that the regulator and companies may manipulate the results of SSNIP test by applying different models of competition.

With the enactment of the Education System Act no 20 of 2003 (better known as the Sisdiknas Act), the State has determined that educational institutions should have a legal umbrella in the form of a legal entity, or better known as the Legal Entity Education. As a non-profit organization, the Foundation is the right legal entity that becomes a place for educational institutions, especially private schools. Therefore, of course, Notary has a very crucial role in making notary deed in the form of establishment and deed of change, such as example how in making the right basic budget and not multi interpresatasi for stake holders in the foundation. The presented study analyzes the processes of creating ecosystems in the context of external challenges and increasing the level of competitive market environment and global digitalization of business to develop a strategy for the digital transformation of an enterprise.Aim. The study aims to assess the practicability of creating ecosystems when developing a strategy for the digital transformation of traditional (“defensive”) enterprises and to provide recommendations for their utilization.Tasks. The authors analyze the characteristics, features, and typology of business ecosystems; substantiate the need to analyze and use the capabilities of business ecosystems in the development of a strategy for corporate development in the digital environment; describe the essence, key aspects of development, and propose a modular structure for the strategy of the digital transformation of an enterprise; develop a conceptual framework for the strategic management of the digital transformation of an enterprise; formulate recommendations for selecting ecosystems that would enhance the enterprise’s competitiveness.Methods. This study uses general scientific methods of cognition in various aspects to propose approaches and a conceptual model of the corporate digital transformation strategy with allowance for the capabilities of business ecosystems.Results. The authors show that in the context of the developing digital economy, business ecosystems have become a new way to organize economic activity due to their high efficiency and rapid scaling. There are two major types of ecosystems: centralized (transaction) ecosystems in the form of digital platforms and adaptive (solution) ecosystems formed by the orchestrating company to create a new value proposition by joint efforts of partners from various industries through direct interaction with each other. The study identifies stages in the development of a digital transformation strategy based on enhancing the enterprise’s competitiveness through its participation in the ecosystem(s) and formulate recommendations for selecting ecosystems that would improve the efficiency of the enterprise.Conclusions. Ecosystem development is a business trend that determines the competitiveness of enterprises and improves the efficiency of their operation in the digital environment. Therefore, under modern conditions, an enterprise should develop its digital transformation strategy based on the creation and/or use of business ecosystems.

Организованная при помощи электронных форм среда обучения предоставляет ученикам большую самостоятельность. Необходимым условием совершенствования системы образования выступает создание новых, необходимых для цифровой экономики компетенций педагога. The article considers the issue of school digitalization as an important condition for improving the quality of education. The e-learning environment provides students with greater independence. A necessary condition for improving the education system is the creation of new teacher competencies necessary for the digital economy.

Education has been considered as an indispensable asset of every individual, community and nation today. Indias higher education system is the third largest in the world, after China and the United States (World Bank). Tamil Nadu occupies the first place in terms of possession of higher educational institutions in the private sector in the country with over 46 percent(27) universities, 94 percent(464) professional colleges and 65 percent(383) arts and science colleges(2011). Studies to understand the profile of the entrepreneurs providing higher education either in India or Tamil Nadu were hardly available. This paper attempts to map the demographic profile of the entrepreneurs providing higher education in Arts and Science colleges in Tamil Nadu through an empirical analysis, carried out among 25 entrepreneurs spread across the state. This paper presents a summary of major inferences of the analysis.

Vocational high school consists of face-to-face learning and dual education system. Learning and dual education system may be either industrial work practices held for 3 or 6 months.During dual education system students can not attend face-to-face learning teaching material that students need to be able to learn independently. Specifically, learning science that students need to learn about the environment and its benefits for students.The purpose of this research is to develop instructional materials in the form of science module which helps students to learn independently and determine the response of vocational students to the science learning modules. Modules developed based entrepreneurship and contextual material with real life needs or students. The material presented is structured to support student entrepreneurship in order to be fit for purpose namely vocational work. This module development research design using the design development of Richey and Klein with Dick and Carey model for the development phase of the module material. Results of test responses of teachers and students concluded that the module gets a very good response, interesting and appropriate to the needs of students. Then the module materials can help students cultivate skills become entrepreneurs.
