Currently, the importance of foreign economic activity for the enterprise cannot be underestimated. Kazakhstani enterprises cannot consider the foreign market only as another sales market, because there are qualitative differences in the development and condition of domestic and foreign markets, characteristic of all developing countries. When the domestic market lags behind in its development (including the level of products) and infrastructure from foreign markets, foreign economic activity can have the greatest impact on the growth and development of the enterprise. For effective foreign economic activity, an enterprise must have high levels of management, knowledge and competencies of personnel, the quality of resources used, etc. Moreover, it becomes possible and necessary to manage the level of these characteristics, and, consequently, the efficiency of foreign economic activity and the efficiency of the enterprise's development through the choice of the host country. Thus, foreign economic activity occupies a special place in the production and economic activity of any enterprise.

BACKGROUND: In recent years there has been substantial debate about the ethics of research in developing countries. The controversies have been centered on (i) standard of care that should be used in research (ii) reasonable availability of interventions that are proven to be useful and (iii) quality of informed consent. Clinical research is different from clinical practice in ethically important ways where each has different goals, different methods and different justification for risk to individuals. The goal of clinical research is to generate useful knowledge about health and illness. Benefit to participants is not the purpose of research, although it does occur. Here people are the means to develop useful knowledge; and are thus at risk of exploitation. Introduction. The basis for foreign economic activity of the enterprise - is the possibility of obtaining economic benefits, based on the benefits of the international division of labor and business relations. Nowadays, the production and sale of a particular product or service has more advantages when it is done for sale in another country than in the middle of the country. The purpose of this paper is to study the aspects of personnel management of a production enterprise in terms of adaptation of foreign economic activity, namely the training of employees of the enterprise. Result. In modern market conditions, the most important tool to ensure the stability of the enterprise and increase its competitiveness not only in the domestic market but also in the foreign market - is the professional development of staff in accordance with current and future requirements of the external and internal environment. It is very important for a company that is just beginning to enter international markets to have highly qualified employees. Personnel management is a complex and integral component of business management. Difficult because people are different in nature from other resources and require special approaches and management methods. The main thing in personnel management is that a person (employee) is a source of income. Conclusion. In the conditions of globalization, there is a need of the enterprise to enter the international markets and to work in the conditions of foreign economic activity. This allows the company to make more profit, gain access to the latest technologies, purchase cheaper and unique resources for production in foreign markets, and so on. The personnel management system at the production enterprise must be flexible, able to change the content, methods and organizational forms in accordance with the needs of the enterprise and the situation in terms of foreign economic activity.

In this article we propose a framework for analysing internationalisation processes, manifested through a sequence of servicing modes. A servicing turn is, in turn, the institutional arrangement whereby firms operate in foreign markets. The framework borrows conceptual notions from the literature on foreign market entry, internationalisation and subsidiary development. Three implications for empirical studies are subsequently suggested. First, it is argued that internationalisation processes should be analysed in light of intra and inter-organisational relationships embedded in distinct spatial and temporal contexts. Secondly, the framework takes into account not only incremental but also discontinuous internationalisation processes. Thirdly, it is proposed that internationalisation processes are endless phenomena and, therefore, should consider sequences of servicing modes that take place in the foreign market where the entry mode is originally embedded as well as in foreign markets reached from the initial host country.

Purpose – The paper aims to empirically examine the forecasting ability of US-based world mutual funds during the 2001-2007 time period. Design/methodology/approach – World mutual funds are treated as portfolios composed of two sets of securities, i.e. domestic and foreign and two methodologies are used to measure forecasting ability: domestic differential exposure and assertion rates. Domestic differential exposure is based on the difference between each fund exposure to the domestic market when it is the outperforming market and the portfolio exposure to the domestic market when the foreign market is outperforming. Similar to the differential exposure, assertion rates measure the ability of fund managers to pick, on a monthly basis, an outperforming market. Findings – Although changing economic conditions in both domestic and foreign markets provided plenty of opportunities to outperform market benchmarks, the results of two empirical tests reveal that fund managers fail to effectively manage their exposure to both markets. Some evidence of good forecasting ability is found when funds are examined on a yearly basis. Originality/value – This study provides the first implementation of both methodologies: domestic differential exposure and assertion rates, to examine global funds.

The concepts of “summary”, “result”, “effect”, “effectiveness and efficiency” are de-grouped. In general, «effectiveness» is a relative indicator characterizing the degree of achievement by the economic entity of the goal in one or more areas and all its economic activity at a certain point in time, that is, it is a cumulative result of the activities of the business entity. While “efficiency” is a relative indicator that characterizes the positive dynamics of the development of a business entity at a certain point in time and is equal to the relative of the result or effect to the costs that caused its receipt. The criteria of efficiency of functioning of the enterprise are considered, namely: effectiveness, introduction of innovations, efficiency, quality of working conditions, product quality. It is noted that the improvement of the efficiency of foreign trade operations is associated with the effectiveness of the use of the company’s assets, its funds, the implementation of investment processes, the achievement of high-quality products, etc. It was emphasized that the smaller the domestic market for the products of this enterprise, the more important it becomes to enter foreign markets. The effectiveness of foreign trade operations depends on the stage of their planning and preliminary preparation for implementation and is evaluated through financial analysis. The following algorithm for assessing the effectiveness of foreign economic activity of the enterprise is presented: preparatory stage; design stage; analytical stage. To evaluate the export activity of the enterprise, it is proposed to use the following indicators: export growth rate, share of sales costs on foreign markets in total sales costs, share of profit from export sales in the total volume of profit from exporter’s sale, profitability of exported products, profitability of sales on the foreign market, competitiveness of products on the foreign market. For the analysis of the export activity of the enterprise in the literature, the following approach is proposed: a preliminary review of general indicators; analysis of the contract portfolio for export deliveries; analysis of the volume of sales of products for export; analysis of capital use in the implementation of export activities; effectiveness of export activities.

Net wrapper is a traditional product of Viet Nam. The domestic and foreign markets have been liked it for a few marketing years. Net wrapper is one of the girdle type which has intermingled vein. Net wrapper makes a spring roll, this is also a traditional production of Viet Nam. Vietnamese produce 20 tons net wrapper daily, such as Vissan company produces 4 tons/day to satisfy the domestic market demand. Net wrapper product is liked specially. Nowadays, net wrapper is still made by a handicraft, therefore, the productivity is low, it has irregular vein and insanitary. In order to replace for handle movement in the handicraft of method by using machine movement process the kinetics simulation and motion of net wrapper are one of the great important process. In this paper we have described a kinetics shaped veins of net wrapper by the combined effects of the curved motion with rotated motion. This method allows the surmounted defect of handicraft and improving the capacity and quality of net wrapper, specially there is specifications supporting for process the designing.

Transit stations are generally well known as nodes of spaces where percentage of people walking are relatively high. The issue is do more planning is actually given to create walkability. Creating walking led transit stations involves planning of walking distance, providing facilities like pathways, toilets, seating and lighting. On the other hand, creating walking led transit station for women uncover a new epitome. Walking becomes one of the most important forms of mobility for women in developing countries nowadays. Encouraging women to use public transportation is not just about another effort to promote the use of public transportation but also another great endeavour to reduce numbers of traffic on the road. This also means, creating an effort to control accidents rate, reducing carbon emission, improving health and eventually, developing the quality of life. Hence, in this paper, we sought first to find out the factors that motivate women to walk at transit stations in Malaysia. A questionnaire survey with 562 female user of Light Railway Transit (LRT) was conducted at LRT stations along Kelana Jaya Line. Both built and non-built environment characteristics, particularly distance, safety and facilities were found as factors that are consistently associated with women walkability. With these findings, the paper highlights the criteria  which are needed to create and make betterment of transit stations not just for women but also for walkability in general.

Subject. We investigate trends in the development of the largest steel companies in the Russian Federation. Objectives. The aim of the study is to conduct an industry-wide analysis of the production and economic activities of the largest domestic enterprises operating in the iron and steel industry. Methods. The study employs methods of comparative and system analysis, graphical and statistical methods for data processing. Results. We present the analysis of main production and economic indicators of the leading steel producers of the Russian Federation, i.e. NLMK, Severstal, MMK, and EVRAZ. The paper reveals their current status and key development trends. Conclusions. The largest Russian steel companies face serious challenges in both the domestic and foreign market. Competitive interactions in the domestic market as to the sale price of rolled metal and the share of presence are particularly sensitive. The threat of reduced supplies to export markets is also significant for Russian steel producers. It may entail insufficient utilization of capacities and potential loss of added value. The companies mainly export semi–finished goods and hot-rolled flat products, i.e. low-added value products. Products with high added value are usually delivered to the domestic market.

The pressure to publish is a fact of life in academia. Academics are expected to demonstrate that they are active researchersand that their work has been vetted by peers and disseminated in reputable scholarly forums. In practice, however, a numberof critical constraints hamper effective publication of scientific research in most developing countries. These include lackof effective mentoring system, poor facilities and inadequate funding for effective research and heavy workload where toomuch time and effort are spent in teaching, grading, meetings and other non-academic activities. In spite of these seeminglyinsurmountable challenges, with proper planning and commitment, one can still conduct research and publish to advanceones career and exchange of knowledge. The paper discusses the critical guiding principles in scientific writing and publishingin an unfriendly research environment as pertains in most universities in the developing world. The overriding principle isto cultivate the discipline of scientific writing consciously and follow it through religiously. This could be achieved if time isallocated for scientific writing in the scheme of weekly schedule of activities and made to be functional through meticulousplanning and commitment. Equally important is to avoid procedural mistakes in scientific writing. While the quality of theresearch is the single most important factor in determining whether an article will be published, a number of proceduralmistakes can help tip the balance against its publication. It should also be noted that when a manuscript is submitted to ascholarly journal, there are two audiences to satisfy: first the editor and external reviewers, and then the journal’s readers. That first group must be satisfied to create the opportunity to appeal to the second. Thus, familiarity with the style and tone ofthe specific journal is crucial.
