In connection with the context of the nation-language-culture connection, special attention was paid to the world of the native speaker, this led to the fusion of linguistics with other sciences. As a result of this, the integrative nature of linguistic research is being formed in modern linguistics. Among them is the sphere of cultural linguistics, which considers language as a symbol of national worldview, culture, history, ethnic spirit. In the context of Ethnolinguistics, the continuity of the language culture is clearly manifested. Studying the work of the scientist AkhmetBaitursynov from such a new cognitive point of view, within the framework of a new paradigm, is of great importance. In A. Baitursynov's work «Literaturestudies», there are linguistic units that reveal the national worldview. Therefore, the analysis and disclosure of the ethnolinguistic nature of the scientist's heritage determines the relevance of our work.

The article found that the main component of a person’s view of the world are certain ideas about reality, which are formed in the mind of man in the form of concepts. Within the view of the world, such a basic value is defined as a «concept». The concept is interpreted in the study as a certain form of representation and understanding of knowledge in the mind of man. It is stated that the object of linguistic research is the specific linguistic forms of expression of concepts and ideas that express in the artistic text the author’s understanding of reality. Such linguistic units have two functions – representing the author’s worldview and shaping the worldview of the reader, influencing him. In the OleksiiDovhyi’s poetic language the outlook of his lyrical hero is represented by a series of tokens that denote groups of realities related to the image of his native land. In the conceptual view of the world of the author’s lyrical hero, this image is a sacred locus, a place rich in glorious history, filled with beautiful people, a place where history and the present are combined for the author against the backdrop of untouched nature. In some poetic contexts, the author sacralises the image of the native land by means of a series of units for the designation of environmental phenomena, which describe the external manifestations of certain objects of nature, their spatial characteristics in order to maximize their visualization.

The paper is focused on stylistic features of English fantasy texts. The research materials include four fantasy novels written by British and American authors of the late 20th century: Jordan’s The Eye of the World, Martin’s A Game of Thrones, Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The research question of the study lies in need to systematize expressive means and stylistic devices used in the texts and distinguish the common stylistic features of English fantasy texts. To do this, the researchers implement the notion of a stylistic portrait of English fantasy text, and the main aim of the paper is to provide its definition and description. The study employed the complex of linguistic research methods, including analysis and generalization of theoretical sources, contextual analysis and the elements of quantitative analysis of linguistic units used in the texts. Based on three essential aspects of a stylistic portrait, the paper shows that the English fantasy texts are characterized by the dominance of expressive means and stylistic devices at the syntactic level of language. In addition, the researchers identified the most productive stylistically marked linguistic units at each level of language correlated with the semantic field within which they functioned, and studied connotative dominants in these texts.

ABSTRACT. Gastronomy is an inseparable element of human life. It has its own cosmology that ties into the culture of a nation. Comparing two different cultures towards gastronomy opens up a new paradigm of thinking to gather a point of view on the world since it is about intercultural communication which brings students to life skills side by side. This study therefore attempts to analyze interculturality in order to solve the problems of cultural understanding from culinary terms in French and Indonesian as well as the values understood. The research is conducted using the descriptive-qualitative method, observing the data linguistically and culturally. As the data come from different cultures, there are therefore comparative measures. Research results show that gastronomy includes symbols and that it takes a relevant position in cultural conception, especially in the formation of stereotypes. This finding of the analysis is only a simple copy of the intercultural study which still has possibilities to develop. Keywords: interculturality, gastronomy, symbolism.

Introduction. This article examines the use of subcolloquial mesurative phraseological units in the French, Uzbek and Russian languages from the point of view of reflecting in them the relationship between language and cultural semantics. Its purpose is to determine the similarities and differences between subcolloquial mesurative phraseological units, taking into account the main symbolic meanings of numbers in world culture. The article examines the subcolloquial mesurative units in French, Uzbek and Russian, their place in the linguistic picture of the world, as well as their use in proverbs, sayings and phraseological units. Various points of view of scientists-linguists are considered, in particular, that the category of time is a category of a wide heterogeonic plan and finds a peculiar reflection in the linguistic picture of the world. The questions of the use of the subcolloquial mesurative unit of time in lexical, phraseological units, as well as in proverbs and sayings in French, Uzbek and Russian are touched upon. The conclusions are supported by the factual linguistic material of the indicated languages. Materials and methods. The study used the methods of component and stylistic analysis within the framework of the linguistic picture of the world based on the system-structural paradigms. It is noted that subcolloquial mesurative phraseological units differ from other linguistic units in that they provide imagery, expressiveness and emotionality to speech. The main attention is paid to the definition of national and cultural features of phraseological units with subcolloquial mesurative components of the French, Uzbek and Russian languages, expressing different socio-cultural cultures of the world. Results and discussion. Scientific novelty lies in the study of determining the sources of phraseological units with subcolloquial mesurative components in the French, Uzbek and Russian languages on the basis of phraseological units. An analysis of the generality and specificity in the meanings of the subcolloquial mesuratic phraseological units of the compared languages was carried out. This analysis involves the study of the semantics of subcolloquial mesuratic phraseological units, the mechanisms of nomination and associative links existing in them, the consciousness and properties of the mentality of the three peoples

This work is devoted to the linguo-cognitive and linguocultural study of the concept of "wedding". The concept as a universal category plays a very important role in the culture of every nation; in all languages they reflect not only universal concepts, but also completely different meanings and properties of the objective world, which explains their different manifestations in language. The linguistic picture of the world influences people and forms their linguistic consciousness, and with them their cultural and national identity. The influence of cultural and human factors on the formation and functioning of various linguistic units (lexemes, free and non-free phrases or idioms, and even texts) are culturally marked in the content, which is embodied in national connotations. This study illustrates a comparative study of wedding traditions reflected in English, Russian and Kyrgyz cultural linguistics. Marriage, being a universal human “universal” - the only possible form of social life, although extremely variable, has a national specificity. Marriage is a mirror that reflects the social, legal, demographic and cultural aspects of the life of peoples. It shows the complex palette of the social relations system. The relevance of this study is due to a number of factors: the high importance of the linguocultural concept "wedding" for the Russian, English and Kyrgyz cultures; the lack of existing research approaches to the description of the highlighted concept; the need for a detailed and comprehensive study of this concept, which is a fragment of a separate concept sphere. The aim of the research is a linguo-cognitive and linguocultural analysis of the universal concept “wedding”, which is actualized in correlated fragments of Russian, English and Kyrgyz cultures.

The article is devoted to the image of a woman in the Azerbaijani-Turkic picture of the world. It is noted that this concept is complex and ambiguous. The central concept representing an image of the woman in Azerbaijan-Turkic Paremiology is “woman” which in language consciousness of the people associates with a word arvad. In the Azerbaijan language the word qadın which, however, is not comparable to a lexeme arvad neither from the point of view of common use, nor from the point of view of the associations steadily characterizing a place of concept of a language picture of the world is common also. The connotation of linguistic units serving the verbalization of the concept of “woman” is divided into positive and negative. One would assume that the negative connotation is associated with Islamic influence, but the facts indicate the national character of the ideas. Islamic mentality, on the contrary, gives women a place of honor in the world. Most likely, the concept as a whole is affected by the masculinity of the concept. It should also be noted that in the language the manifestation of the concept “woman” is dynamic, it is represented in a wide range and varies both in the semantic and stylistic terms.

Due to the increased attention of modern science to a man as a representative of culture, conceptual linguistics turned out to be one of the most promising directions in linguistics. The concept is a kind of semantic nest that covers a significant part of the language vocabulary. In this paper, the concept of old age in Spanish and Russian languages was studied on the basis of lexicographic sources. However, lexicographic sources are only an attempt to order a language integrated into the syncretic consciousness of a person for research purposes. The concepts are implemented in a language using semantic fields. The field theory is based on the idea of regularities and semantic links existence between linguistic units. The linguistic-cultural concept as a conventional unit can only be considered in cooperation with other concepts. The concept of old age was described in connection with the concepts of wisdom, stupidity, respect, neglect, death, life, fear, poverty and wealth. In both languages old age is understood as the phenomenon of predominantly negative nature, but with a higher percentage of units with improvement evaluation in Spanish. The obtained data will be tested in speech by the means of a free associative experiment. The research has an applied value in such related sciences as pedagogy, gerontology and sociology.
