Abstract. The paper presents an exposure-stance concept model with three basic elements: proximity regarded as a measurement of nearness, accessibility which refers to the road stance serviceability that convey the people or goods from place to place by means of a vehicle, and connectivity of uncontrolled activities i.e. road and/or building constructions, nearness (measurement) information to be reached from or to be reached by to transport people and resources regardless if it traverses the danger or hazard zones in the slopes of Mayon Volcano. The challenging work is modelling the level of exposure-stances operationally defined as the accessibility in terms of road stance serviceability, connectivity in terms of road constructed and building footprints’ nearness measurement with danger or hazard zones relative to the risk reality phenomenon information happening in Mayon Volcano. This paper practically highlighted results, specifically on the matrix of levels of exposure-stances contexts that creates knowledge prompted by spatial information (nearness measurements) featuring accessibility, connectivity, proximity, risk reality, danger and hazards zones, and OSM roads and building footprints variables. The study concluded that rejecting roads and building (lines and polygons) mimics the perpetual relocation of exposed residents. Also, closing the proclaimed protected forest areas to any activities will likely nil exposure, thus lowering risk hotspot level of significance. Hence, nulling exposure stance variable if not dispersing exposure featuring roads and buildings within the protected areas, development constraint areas, and permanent and extended danger zones of Mayon Volcano has a practical implication to stabilize and sustain developments at the foot slopes of the volcano.

The proper process of preparing an adhesive composition has a significant impact on the degree of dispersion of the composition ingredients in the matrix, as well as on the degree of aeration of the resulting composition, which in turn directly affects the strength and functional properties of the obtained adhesive compositions. The paper presents the results of tensile strength tests and SEM microphotographs of the adhesive composition of Epidian 57 epoxy resin with Z-1 curing agent, which was modified using three fillers NanoBent ZR2 montmorillonite, CaCO3 calcium carbonate and CWZ-22 active carbon. For comparison purposes, samples made of unmodified composition were also tested. The compositions were prepared with the use of six mixing methods, with variable parameters such as type of mixer arm, deaeration and epoxy resin temperature. Then, three mixing speeds were applied: 460, 1170 and 2500 rpm. The analyses of the obtained results showed that the most effective tensile results were obtained in the case of mixing with the use of a dispersing disc mixer with preliminary heating of the epoxy resin to 50 °C and deaeration of the composition during mixing. The highest tensile strength of adhesive compositions was obtained at the highest mixing speed; however, the best repeatability of the results was observed at 1170 rpm mixing speed. Based on a comparison test of average values, it was observed that, in case of modified compositions, the values of average tensile strength obtained at mixing speeds at 1170 and 2500 rpm do not differ significantly with the assumed level of significance α = 0.05.

Tourism is the mainstay of the Caribbean and the attitude of the people in the region may have a significant impact on the success of the industry. This paper analyzes the way in which tourism authorities of three Caribbean destinations have internally marketed tourism to their host populations in order to encourage the desired attitudinal expressions. A matrix of five possible responses to tourism was developed and each of the three countries was found to occupy different positions in the matrix. An analysis of the internal marketing strategies determined that the countries adopted different approaches based on their particular challenges but none of the approaches had achieved lasting success. The study concludes with recommendations for future research.

Image segmentation is the most important process in road sign detection and classification systems. In road sign systems, the spatial information of road signs are very important for safety issues. Road sign segmentation is a complex segmentation task because of the different road sign colors and shapes that make it difficult to use specific threshold. Most road sign segmentation studies do good in ideal situations, but many problems need to be solved when the road signs are in poor lighting and noisy conditions. This paper proposes a hybrid dynamic threshold color segmentation technique for road sign images. In a pre-processing step, the authors use the histogram analysis, noise reduction with a Gaussian filter, adaptive histogram equalization, and conversion from RGB space to YCbCr or HSV color spaces. Next, a segmentation threshold is selected dynamically and used to segment the pre-processed image. The method was tested on outdoor images under noisy conditions and was able to accurately segment road signs with different colors (red, blue, and yellow) and shapes.

AbstractOn 15 November 2012, at the plenary session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping was elected the Party' general secretary, whereas he also became the chairman of the influential Central Military Commission. Too eager to wait to be inaugurated as President of the People' Republic of China in March 2013, the new national leader announced that in the following decade he is guided by the main objective of his predecessor Hu Jintao to double the prosperity of the people by the year 2020 and to keep the country' economy stable and growing fast. Unfortunately, it will be difficult for the new leader of China to implement his intentions, since, presumably, the country' new leadership will be from the older generation, hardliners, and, most importantly, politically conservative. But the difficulties lie in carrying out economic reforms because of rampant corruption and shadow banking in the central apparatus and in regions.According to the World Bank' analysis, China has become the world' largest economy. But the large expenditures to military reform and environmental protection are not sufficient for Xi Jinping to accomplish the goal to raise significantly the poor living standards of Chinese people. China has also faced difficulties in complying with the basic principles of its foreign policy, especially after the annexation of Crimea and its incorporation into the Russian Federation by China' strategic partner, Russia. In the past, China has carried out campaigns against “Americanization”, although with no tangible results. Thus, the leaders of today' China are faced with a number of dilemmas.

A rather small portion of old Slavonic literatures is thematically linked with the journey to the Holy Land. Of many Serbian pilgrims over the centuries only three left more detailed descriptions of Bulgarian places and parts: patriarch Arsenije III, Jerotej of Raca and Silvestar Popovic. They described, each in his own way, some of the places and areas along the road to Istanbul or Salonika. Their vivid depiction of encounters with people and observations about the places they saw on their way reveal only a fragment of life in the seventeenth- and eighteenth-century Ottoman empire. In a seemingly ordinary way, they incorporate into their own epoch the legends heard from the people they met. The descriptions of Bulgarian parts in the Serbian accounts of pilgrimage have all the appeal that generally characterizes travel literature. Although their literary value is modest they belong among the works characterized by the simplicity and immediacy of experience. Rather than being the result of a strong literary ambition, they are witness to the need to speak about the great journey, quite an adventurous enterprise at the time.

To realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, we must adhere to the leadership of the CPC. The nature and purpose of the Party determine that only by adhering to the leadership of the CPC can we organize and mobilize the people, create a stable environment, and finally achieve the glorious goal of people's happiness. Guided by Marxism, the CPC constantly promotes theoretical innovation, which can gather the ideological consensus of realizing national rejuvenation. The road of socialism with Chinese characteristics led by the CPC is the only way to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

The concept of “ecological tourism” both in the world and in Russia has appeared in the second half of the twentieth century, although people traveled with natural-focused purposes, including around the protected areas, much earlier. The article presents several definitions of ecotourism, including the two given by the authors. The authors note that ecotourism can be developed in two ways: as a journey on any remaining natural areas or as tour, excursion exclusively within specially protected natural areas (SPNA). The second option is successfully developed in many Englishspeaking countries. The article confirms this fact using the original modern data on the dynamics of visits to the most famous national parks in the USA. Based on the analysis of literature and Internet sources it is concluded that the governance of the Russian Federation considers it necessary to develop eco-tourism in our country according to the second “North American” concept. In this case, the people attending the state protected areas – national parks and reserves with educational and recreational goals should be considered as eco-tourists. Based on this assumption the authors of the article give modern official data concerning the number of specially protected areas of different types in Russia as main destinations of ecotourism. The article presents the diagrams showing the quantitative characteristics of the infrastructure for ecotourists in specially protected areas: visitor centers, museums, ecological paths and routes. The dynamics of tourist arrivals in the reserves and national parks of Russia for the period 2001-2016 years is analyzed. In the final part of the article the main problems of eco-tourists recording are identified.

Kata Kunci: Pendalungan, imajinasi, identitas, wacana ABSTRACT The research problem formulated within this study is the question of why the pendalungan discourse was repreatedly surfaced and how is the influence of power/knowledge from the other side of this very discourse. This study seeks to unfold the essence of power/knowledge in forming the identity of the people of Jember through the pendalungan discourse as well as to provide an elaboration of the resulted effect from said discourse. The theoretical implication of this study would be the development of anthropological studies concerning the identity and influence of pendalungan, particularly on the formation of identity through the approach of power/knowledge discourse. As for the practical implication, the outcome of this study could serve as a form of valid recommendation both for the people and government in pursuing the development of the identity of Jember people. Drawing upon artists, academics, and historians as the population, this study made use of qualitative approach as the main method as well as literature review and interview as the instrument. A number of variables involved within this study were identity, imagination, and multiculturalism. The result of the study revealed that identity is not to be regarded as an entity born from a harmonious and balanced situation, rather, from an atmosphere that is full of struggles, contestation, clashes, conflicts of arguments and discourse, frictions between parties, dynamics, as well as productivity. From this point, this study embarked upon a conclusion that identity is not something that is fixed or rigid, but flexible and diverse. Keywords: Pendalungan, imagination, identity, discourse

Abstract Plant species that show gregarious spatial distribution and endemism to the Atlantic Forest, such as Dorstenia elata, are particularly sensitive to the effects of genetic diversity loss. In the present study, we aimed to quantify the genetic diversity in native populations of this species in an Atlantic Forest remnant. The sample included three aggregates of individuals, and molecular characterization was performed with twelve ISSR primers. Intrapopulation analyses were based on the calculation of the Shannon index; total expected heterozygosity and the matrix of distances between pairs of individuals were also calculated. The obtained grouping dendrogram evinced the formation of two groups. Interpopulation investigations were based on the analysis of molecular variance and the estimate of historical gene flow. The results demonstrate that one group comprised the genotypes from two subpopulations, and the other contained exclusively the genotypes of a third subpopulation. The greatest genetic variability was observed within rather than among populations, indicating that the geographical distance and the road that divides the studied populations are not causing loss of genetic diversity.
