So the need for the seriousness of the local government to prevent an increase in cases experienced by children as early as possible through a series of efforts and actions both in the form of socialization and other strategic steps, non-optimal service to children who are in conflict with the law can also affect the development of children especially on the aspects of psychological recovery and children's health. Thus, this research is conducted through a Qualitative Approach which is analyzed juridically and sociologically based on statutory provisions and directly involved in observing the effectiveness of law implementation carried out by local government agencies. After being analyzed through the available approach and data, there are several things that have not been carried out properly. This means that all efforts and policies made by local governments in the field of child protection, especially those dealing with the law, have not met the expectations mandated by the laws and regulations. Where there are several cases of child abuse, they have to break up in the middle of the road due to various considerations, as well as the need for a legal product similar to regional regulations to accommodate and fulfill all the interests and rights of children.

Data collection is critical to the social research process. When implemented correctly, data collection enhances the quality of a social research study. However, doctoral students and early career researchers may encounter challenges with data collection. This article reports on the data collection challenges in dissertation research encountered by doctoral students enrolled in a public health program at a southeastern United States urban university. Each doctoral student shared at least one challenge and how it affected the data collection process. Additionally, the doctoral students shared how the identified challenges were addressed or suggested recommendations. Understanding these experiences of doctoral students is helpful for doctoral students and early career researchers conducting social research. The lessons learned may guide faculty in research mentoring and structuring research seminars for doctoral students.

Sebagai model of reality, agama Marapu mengandaikan konsepsi ideal tentang kehidupan pasca-kematian, yaitu parai Marapu. AbstractMarapu belief is the root of the social, political, and cultural system of Sumba. Socially it underlies the formation of social stratification: the nobles, free people, andslaves. Politically, the nobility have legitimacy as local rulers (kings). Culturally, this belief has given birth to rituals called stone grave ceremony which dates back to megalithic era. The ceremony was held in a colossal way involving extensive network of relatives, large amount of animal slaughtering, the use of very meaningful traditional fabrics, as well as various stages of rituals that are meant to take the bodies to the millieu of an cestral spirits (Parai Marapu). This article describes the concepts of Marapu belief and its manifestations in the stone graveceremony. Borrowing Clifford Geertz’s analysis, concepts in Marapu belief have become a model of reality and models for reality for the people of Sumbain understanding life and death. As a model of reality, Marapu belief counts on ideal conception of life after-death that is Parai Marapu. Whileas a model for reality the conception of Parai Marapu becomes a guide (cognitive map) to honor the dead through the organization of the funeral ceremony, grave goods offering, as well as animal sacrifices. This study used a qualitative approach, in which the process of data collection was conducted through observation, in-depth interviews, and bibliographical review. Informants in this study were relatives or family members who attended the stone grave ceremony.

The paper analyzes perceived causes of poverty in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County, Hungary, one of the most disadvantaged areas of the country. Data collection was carried out in the second half of 2020 using consensus theory and the methods of systematic data collection. The aim of the research is to discover whether support for explanations which blame structural conditions is dominant in the public perception of poverty during the pandemic. From the research discussed it is clear that structural conditions are not dominant and that the poor are often seen as being themselves responsible for their unfavourable situation. The COVID-19 pandemic is not associated with a high support for the social type of lay explanations.
