The teacher is the party most often accused of being the person most responsible for the quality of education. Teachers who have the ability in four teacher competencies, will be able to show better performance. A teacher's competence will also be better, if accompanied by a strong achievement motivation. Competence that is accompanied by the achievement motivation will affect the performance of teachers in all fields that are done. This research was conducted to obtain empirical evidence about the presence or absence of the influence of teacher competence and achievement motivation simultaneously and significantly to the performance of Certified Public Elementary School teachers in Kendal District, Kendal District. The population in this study were all certified elementary school teachers in the Regional Education Unit of the Kendal District, who were civil servants. While the sample selection method used is random sampling. Data about the variables in this study were obtained using a scale instrument (questionnaire). The data that has been collected will be analyzed with the classic assumption test and hypothesis test. To test the hypothesis in this study, multiple regression analysis was used. The results showed that the competence and achievement motivation did not significantly influence the performance of certified teachers. Abstrak Guru merupakan pihak yang paling sering mendapat tudingan sebagai orang yang paling bertanggung jawab terhadap kualitas pendidikan. Guru yang memiliki kemampuan dalam empat kompetensi guru, akan dapat menunjukkan kinerja yang lebih baik. Kompetensi seorang guru juga akan lebih baik, jika dibarengi dengan adanya motivasi berprestasi yang kuat. Kompetensi yang dibarengi dengan adanya motivasi berprestasi akan mempengaruhi kinerja guru dalam segala bidang yang dikerjakan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh bukti empiris tentang ada tidaknya pengaruh kompetensi guru dan motivasi berprestasi secara simultan dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru SD Negeri yang Bersertifikasi di Kecamatan Kendal, Kabupaten Kendal. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu semua guru SD Negeri yang bersertifikasi di UPTD Pendidikan Daerah Kecamatan-Kabupaten Kendal, yang berstatus sebagai PNS. Sedangkan metode pemilihan sampel yang digunakan adalah random sampling. Data tentang variabel-variabel dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa skala (angket). Data yang telah terkumpul akan dianalisis dengan uji asumsi klasik dan uji hipotesis. Untuk menguji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini, digunakan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi dan motivasi berprestasi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru bersertifikasi.

The research is aimed at determine the  relationship of  achievement motivation and assesment towards the guidance for teacher’s professionalism on the teacher’s teaching ability. The research was done in Ngemplak, Sleman, Yogyakarta. The number of population is all elementary school teachers, while the number of the samples is 50 teachers taken using simple random sampling. The instruments used were: (1) observation checklist for getting the data of teacher’s teaching ability, and (2) questionnaires for achievement motivation and assesment towards the guidance for teacher’s professionalism. The data were analyzed quantitatively by using simple and multiple correlation and regression.  The result showed that: there is a positive correlation between achievement motivation (X1) and assessment towards the guidance for teacher’s professionalism (X2) simultaneously and teacher’s teaching ability (Y), (ry12 =0.62 and r2 =0,38 ). Based on the results, it can be stated that the ability of teachers can be improved by improving achievement motivation and developing the assessment of the professional teachers.

This study aims to look at the effect of competence and achievement motivation on the performance of primary school teachers with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. The sample in this study amounted to 143 elementary school teachers, samples were taken using stratified random sampling. The researcher used path analysis as data analysis technique. This study found that (1) Teachers’ competence  and achievement motivation influence simultaneously and partially on job satisfaction (2) Teacher’ competence, achievement motivation and job satisfaction simultaneously affect teachers’ performance, but the competence do not directly and significantly affect the performance of primary school teachers. But the competence affects teachers' performance indirectly through job satisfaction.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan ulasan deskriptif tentang kompetensi guru SD dalam merancang perangkat penilaian. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif. Teknik pemilihan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling dengan mempertimbangkan produktivitas guru, kurikulum dan tujuan penelitian. Subjek adalah guru SD di kota Banjarmasin dan sekitarnya. Terpilih 53 orang guru SD yang menjadi subjek penelitian. Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian perangkat pembelajaran didapatkan hasil bahwa Mayoritas skor kompetensi guru SD Banjarmasin berkisar antara 87 hingga 95 poin dari skor maksimal 100. Analisis dalam kategori menghasilkan sebanyak 92,45% telah mencapai kategori baik karena telah mampu membuat empat indikator perangkat penilaian. Indikator meliputi analisis kurikulum (kesesuaian soal dengan tujuan pembelajaran), petunjuk penskoran runut dan jelas, kesesuaian penyajian redaksi soal dan jawaban bagi kognitif, keterpaduan antar ranah (pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan). Kendala utama adalah dalam membuat rubrik penilaian sikap dan keterampilan. Guru belum mampu mendeskripsikan dengan jelas indikator periaku siswa secara spesefik. TEACHER COMPETENCE IN BANJARMASIN IN DESIGNING THEMATIC ASSESSMENT  Abstract: This study aims to provide descriptive reviews of elementary teacher competencies in designing assessment. This type of research is descriptive. The sample selection technique is done by purposive sampling by considering teacher productivity, curriculum, and research objectives. The subject is elementary school teachers in the city of Banjarmasin and surrounding areas. 53 elementary school teachers. The results found that the majority of Banjarmasin elementary school teacher competency scores ranged from 87 to 95 points from a maximum score of 100. Analysis in the category resulted in 92.45% had reached the good category because it was able to make four indicators of assessment tools. Indicators include curriculum analysis (compatibility of questions with learning objectives), clear and continuous scoring instructions, appropriateness of presentation of the problem, and answer editors for cognitive, inter-domain integration (knowledge, attitudes, and skills). The main obstacle is in making the rubric for attitude and skills assessment.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan: budaya sekolah dengan kinerja guru; komunikasi dengan kinerja guru; budaya sekolah dengan komitmen; komunikasi dengan komitmen, komitmen dengan kinerja guru; budaya sekolah dengan kinerja melalui komitmen; komunikasi dengan kinerja guru melalui komitmen. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 250 orang guru di 100 Sekolah yang dipilih secara stratified proporsional random sampling dari populasi sebesar 2.276 orang guru yang tersebar di 274 SD Negeri di Kota Banjarmasin. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Data penelitian dianalisis secara deskriftip dan analisi jalur. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa budaya sekolah memiliki hubungan dengan kinerja, komunikasi memiliki hubungan dengan kinerja, budaya sekolah memiliki hubungan dengan komitmen, komunikasi memiliki hubungan dengan komitmen, komitmen memiliki hubungan dengan kinerja guru, komitmen merupakan perantara hubugan budaya sekolah dengan kinerja guru dan hubungan komunikasi dengan kinerja guru. Kata Kunci: budaya sekolah, komunikasi, komitmen, kinerja THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SCHOOL CULTURE, COMMUNICATION, AND COMMITMENT AND THE STATE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS’ PERFORMANCE Abstract: This study was aimed to describe the relationship between: school culture and tea- chers’ performance; communication and teachers’ commitment; school culture and commitment; communication and commitment; commitment and teachers’ performance; school culture and performance through commitment; communication and teachers’ performance through commitment. The sample consisting of 250 teachers from 100 schools was selected using the stratified proportional random sampling technique from a population of 2,276 teachers teaching in 274 state elementary schools in Banjarmasin Municipality. The data were collected using an instrument which had been validated and which was reliable. The data were analyzed using the descriptive analysis and the path analysis. The findings showed that there was relationship between: school culture and teachers’ performance, communication and performance, school culture and commitment, communication and commitment, commitment and teachers’ performance. Commitment became an intervening variable between school culture and teachers’ performance and between communication and teachers’ performance. The purpose of this study are: (1) Finding out how much is the influence of school culture on educational quality, (2) Finding out how much is the influence of the competence of teachers to the quality of education, and (3) Finding out how much is the influence of school culture and teacher competence collectively to the quality of education. The population in this study was all State junior high school teachers throughout the Sub District of Randudongkal District of Pemalang, the number of the population was 225 people, and the samples were selected using proportionate random sampling technique as many as 69 people. The data analysis was using descriptive analysis, the test of data requirements, and analysis, / regression test. The test results for the prerequisite of research data it is concluded that the data were normally distributed, homogeneous, linear, does not incur multicollinearity and does not incur heteroskedasticity. While from the hypothesis test, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect on the school cultures to the quality of education in the total of 0.911 with a contribution of 82.8%. There is a significant effect of teacher competence on the quality of education at 0.790 with a contribution of 61.9%. There is the influence collectively on the School Culture and Teachers Competence against Education Quality of 0.977 with a contribution of 95.3%

This article discusses the results of three elementary school teachers’ feedback from a mindfulness-training program. Mindfulness is the ability to pay attention to what’s happening now without judgment. The training consisted of breathwork, bodyscan, movement, and sensorimotor activities. Results of interviews with the teachers revealed that teachers used the mindfulness skills to (a) aid in curriculum development and implementation, (b) deal with conflict and anxiety, (c) improve the quality of their personal lives, and (d) facilitate positive changes in the classroom.

Abstract. The implementation of the new 2013 Curriculum in schools has been started in July 2013. The implementation of the curriculum is expected to increase the quality of management and process of education at any unit of education that leads to the effort of improving the quality of learning and education. In connection with the application of the new curriculum, this research would like to reveal the problems regarding how elementary school teachers respond to the implementation of 2013 Curriculum in Bandung City with regard to planning, implementation, and assessment of curriculum. It also studied the best practice which can be emulated in terms of planning, implementation and assessment of curriculum conducted by elementary school teachers in Bandung City.The results showed that the response of elementary school teachers on the implementation of 2013 Curriculum in Bandung City was in the positive category. The planning activity was in the category of very positive while the implementation and assessment activities were in the positive category. Some best practices that can be emulated in planning, implementation and assessment conducted by the teachers in implementing the 2013 Curriculum are the activities of sharing, hearing, in-house training and real teaching modeling that were carried out in Teacher Working Group (KKG).Keywords: 2013 Curriculum, teachers’ response, best practice, curriculum implementation Abstrak. Penerapan kurikulum baru, yakni implementasi Kurikulum 2013 di sekolah telah dimulai sejak bulan Juli 2013.  Implementasi Kurikulum tersebut diharapkan mendorong peningkatan kualitas pengelolaan dan proses pendidikan pada setiap satuan pendidikan yang mengarah pada upaya peningkatan mutu pembelajaran dan pendidikan. Dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya penerapan kurikulum tersebut, penelitian ini ingin mengungkap permasalahan yang berkenaan dengan "Bagaimanakah respon guru SD terhadap terhadap implementasi Kurikulum 2013 di Kota Bandung dilihat dari kegiatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian kurikulum? dan "Best Practice" apa yang dapat dicontoh dalam hal perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian kurikulum yang dilakukan oleh guru SD di Kota Bandung? Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Respon guru SD terhadap terhadap implementasi Kurikulum 2013 di Kota Bandung berada pada kategori positif.  Untuk kegiatan perencanaan berada pada kategori sangat positif, sedangkan untuk kegiatan pelaksanaan dan penilaian kurikulum berada pada kategori positif. Terdapat beberapa  "best practice" yang dapat dicontoh dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian  dari guru SD di Kota Bandung terkait dengan implementasi Kurikulum 2013 berupa kegiatan "sharing", "hearing", "in house training", dan "modelling real teaching" yang dilaksanakan di KKG atau KKG gugus. Kata kunci:      Kurikulum 2013, Respon Guru dan Best Practice Implementasi Kurikulum.

Training in making woven models as a medium for learning art and culture and this workshop aims to train skills: making woven models from asturo paper to improve the quality of visual art learning in elementary schools. Training methods by providing individual practice guidance to weaving skills directly to 20 elementary school teachers. The results of this community service activity are (1) non-physical for elementary school teachers in cluster 3 Donowarih Karangploso are very interested in getting art training and are willing to disseminate knowledge and skills to other teachers in their assignments. (2) individual trainees are skilled in making woven shapes of fish, flying birds, stars, baskets, and ribbon-shaped woven frames. Pelatihan pembuatan model karya anyaman sebagai media pembelajaran seni budaya dan prakarya ini bertujuan melatih keterampilan: membuat model-model anyaman dari kertas asturo untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran senirupa di SD. Metode pelatihan dengan memberikan bimbingan praktek individu keterampilan menganyam secara langsung kepada 20 guru SD. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah (1) non-fisik bagi guru-guru SD di gugus 3 Donowarih Karangploso sangat berminat mendapat pelatihan senirupa-prakarya, dan bersedia untuk menyebarluaskan  pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada guru lain di tempat tugasnya. (2) peserta pelatihan secara individu terampil membuat anyaman bentuk ikan, burung terbang, bintang, keranjang (besek), dan anyaman pita bentuk pigura.

The purpose of this study is to study and explain the role of competence and transformational leadership styles on the performance of 01 and 02 North Petukangan elementary school teachers, mediated by motivational variables. The research method uses quantitative and part of this research is 01 and 02 North Petukangan elementary school teachers who gathered 52 people. The sample selection is done by saturated sampling techniques or census sampling so as to make all members of the study as research samples. Data collection techniques using interviews and questionnaire instruments. Survey instruments were sent to 01 and 02 North Petukangan elementary school teachers. Data were analyzed using a structural consolidation model (SEM) with the Smart PLS software program version 3.2.8. This study revealed significant competence that were significant to teacher performance and transformational leadership style had a significant positive effect on teacher performance. Competence and leadership styles change. In addition, motivation variables do not mediate competence and transformational leadership styles on teacher performance.

This study aims to improve the quality of learning through guidance in developing snowball throwing cooperative learning scenarios for elementary school teachers. This study was conducted at SDN 001 Muara Lembu from October to November 2019. The research subjects were 12 SDN 001 Muara Lembu teachers. This research is a school action research design based on the Kemmis model. The expected indicator of success is that the quality of learning reaches good categories. The results of the study in the first cycle are the average quality of learning to get a value of 61% which includes enough categories, in the second cycle increased to 77% which is classified as good. The conclusion based on the results is that the quality of learning has improved after guidance of SDN 001 Muara Lembu teachers in developing snowball throwing cooperative learning scenarios
