The results of studying the current state of the Siberian sturgeon population, clarifying the range of its distribution, the number and size-age groups in various sections of the Irtysh River are presented. Preliminary recommendations are given on the possibility of obtaining a small part of the population for the purpose of artificial reproduction. Ecological monitoring was carried out by the route-expedition method, by examining the Yertis River and the estuary areas of large flowing tributaries and reservoirs for the presence and distribution area of rare fish species. The work uses materials of research reports on the program 037 "State accounting and cadastre of fish resources" for 2004-14, data from the archives of Kazniirh LLP.When conducting research, we were guided by the provisions of Normative and methodological documentation. The research is funded by the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Grant no. BR10264205)

The article gives the description of dimensional parameters (absolute length, body weight, plastic characters) of young sterlet in the Irtysh River (the Tyumen region, Uvat district). The state of the population was assessed according to the description and a comparative analysis of data obtained by measuring individuals of sterlet from other reservoirs and water areas. Characteristics of young sterlet growth at the age of 1+ and 2+ were also given. It has been stated that starlet juveniles in the Irtysh River are exposed to the local environmental conditions (water temperature, adequate food reserve), which is expressed in a significant variability of the species growth rates in each age group. The results of the analysis of the mass values of sterlet species from different water areas and habitats confirm that sterlet is a plastic species. When analyzing the plastic features of sterlet juveniles, there has been observed the uneven growth of body parts, which can be seen in the variability of parts of the head, size of fins and body weight, followed by the growth of fish and its transition to older age groups. It is noted that significant differences between species from different water areas do not tend to be distributed in latitude or longitude, and sterlet grown under aquaculture conditions does not prevail in all parameters over wild individuals, which suggests the presence of any influence on the growth rate of sterlet by almost the entire habitat including the studied sterlet population.

Subject. To achieve a high level of economic security is a key priority of national development. Employment reveals one of the most important aspects of social development of the individual that is associated with his or her needs satisfaction in the sphere of employment and is boon to economic security. Objectives. The purpose of the study is to show the impact of unemployment on economic security in employment. Methods. I apply such scientific methods as dialectical, historical and logical unity, structural and functional analysis, traditional techniques of economic analysis and synthesis. The methods of multivariate statistical and comparative analysis serve as a methodological basis of the study. To determine the indicator of unemployment, I use the band theory. Results. I underpin the growing role of employment in ensuring economic security. The paper presents a comprehensive assessment of the unemployment status and a comparative analysis of the indicator in the Republic of Mordovia, the Volga Federal District, and the Russian Federation as a whole. I identify trends in the average duration of unemployment, show the distribution of unemployed by level of education and age groups. Conclusions. The average annual unemployment rate in the Republic of Mordovia is lower than in Russia and the Volga Federal District. The findings may be useful for public authorities to substantiate their employment policy at both macro- and meso-levels, for designing programs and strategies for socio-economic development of regions and the social security doctrine, as well as in practical activities of employment services.

The article notes that the growing popularity of healthy lifestyles contributes to the increase in consumption of fruits and berries. At the same time, the analysis of the dynamics of the gardening industry for 2000-2018 shows that the problem of providing fresh fruits and berries to the population remains one of the most important. Based on actual data, linear and logarithmic models of time series of key industry indicators for the period 2010 – 2019 have been compiled. Calculations showed that in the Russian Federation as a whole the trend of reduction of sown areas of perennial fruit plantations will continue with growth of yield and gross fees. In this regard, the issues of distribution and introduction of gardens of intensive type are updated. An overview of the views of domestic scientists-gardeners on the concept of “intensive garden” is given. It has been established that the distribution of intensive gardens is possible only if there are favorable natural and climatic conditions and a developed scientific and production base of nursery management. The current state and problems of gardening in one of the leading regions – the Republic of Dagestan - are considered. A significant technological lag of region in the further development of intensive horticulture has been identified. Various directions of intensification process in horticulture as the main and necessary condition of growth of efficient and sustainable production are summarized.
