This research was carried out in order to determine the anxiety levels of the students of the Faculty of Sport Sciences, who are studying at Mehmet Akif Ersoy University in the province of Burdur, in the Republic of Turkey, according to their departments, due to their social appearance.The population of the research is Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, a higher education institution in Burdur, and the sample is a total of 201 university students, 57 female and 144 male, studying in the “Physical Education and Sports Teaching, Sports Management and Coaching Education” departments of the sports sciences faculty of this university has created. The “Social Physics Anxiety Inventory” scale, which was developed by Hart et al. (1989) and was adapted to Turkey by Mülazımoğlu, Ballı, and Aşçı (2006), consisting of 12 items and two sub-scales, was developed by Hart et al. (1989) in order to measure students’ anxiety levels towards their social appearance (Doğan, 2010; Mülazımoğlu-Ballı & Aşçı, 2004). Only the 7-item part, which is suitable for the characteristics of the Turkish people, was used. Appropriate SPSS program was used for the analysis of the data obtained in the research. In addition, before starting the research, the students filled out a “Voluntary Consent Form” to declare that they participated in the research voluntarily. “Pearson Correlation” test to examine the relationship between variables, the “Independent Samples” test to detect the effects of variables on each other, and the one-way analysis of variance test (One-Way ANOVA) to detect the difference between groups, and multiplexes to find between which groups this difference is “Bonferroni” test which is one of the comparison tests (Post Hoc) was applied. Significant differences were taken as p < 0.01 and p < 0.05.As a result of the research, it has been determined that there are positive and negative significant differences in the anxiety levels of 51 female and 144 male students studying at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Faculty of Sports Sciences, Physical Education and Sports Teaching, Sports Management and Coaching Education departments. Regarding the evaluation of these determinations, it can be said that female students are more sensitive than male students in terms of social appearance.

This study aims to analyze the somatotype structures in students studying at different departments of physical education. A total of 300 male students (elite-sub-elite athletes) who study physical education and sports (n=100), coaching education (n=100) and sports management (n=100) at School of Physical Education and Sports at University of Kirsehir Ahi Evran voluntarily participated in this study. Somatotype structures were determined using Heath-Carter method and SOMATOTURK calculation program. SPSS 22.0 package program for Windows was used for correlation analysis, and the level of significance was taken as 0.05. The results indicate that while students (elite-sub-elite athletes) participating in the study had a mesomorph structure, which is one of the most important body structure parameters for performance and characterized by a muscularity component, during early periods of their education (freshman and sophomore years), their bodies transformed into an endomorph structure, which is characterized by fat components, during later periods of their education (junior and senior years).

This study aimed to examine the communication skills of students who are studying in the physical education teaching department of the faculties of sports sciences and physical education and sports teacher candidates participating and pedagogical formation certificate program, according to demographic variables. The sample of the study consisted of a total of 377 students, 145 women and 232 men, who continue their education in the physical education teaching, coaching education, and sports management departments of the faculties of sports sciences in the 2019-2020 academic year. Personal information form and the “Communication Skills Scale” that is developed by Korkut Owen and Bugay (2014) were used as data collection tools. Since the data did not show a normal distribution, non-parametric tests were analyzed and descriptive statistics were used. According to the findings obtained, it was observed that the communication skills of the students were high in the sub-dimensions of “communication principles basic skills”, “self-expression”, “active listening and non-verbal communication" and close to high in the “willingness to communicate” sub-dimension. It was determined that the communication skills of the students differed according to their gender and grade levels, and did not differ according to their participation in the departments and pedagogical formation certificate program. As a result, it can be stated that the communication skills of the students studying in the faculties of sports sciences and participating in the pedagogical formation certificate program are generally high, and there is no difference between the students studying in the physical education department and the students participating in the pedagogical formation certificate program. ​Extended English summary is in the end of Full Text PDF (TURKISH) file.   Özet   Bu çalışma, spor bilimleri fakültelerinin beden eğitimi öğretmenliği bölümü ve pedagojik formasyon sertifika programına katılan beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmeni adayı olan öğrencilerin demografik değişkenlere göre iletişim becerilerinin incelenmesini amaçlamıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemini, 2019-2020 eğitim ve öğretim yılında spor bilimleri fakültelerinin beden eğitimi öğretmenliği, antrenörlük eğitimi ve spor yöneticiliği bölümlerinde öğrenim gören 145 kadın, 232 erkek olmak üzere toplam 377 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak kişisel bilgi formu ve Korkut Owen ve Bugay (2014) tarafından geliştirilen “İletişim Becerileri Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Veriler, normal dağılım göstermediğinden non-parametrik testlerle analiz edilmiştir ve tanımlayıcı istatistikler kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre; öğrencilerin iletişim becerilerinin; “iletişim ilkeleri temel beceriler”,  “kendini ifade etme”, “etkin dinleme-sözel olmayan iletişim” alt boyutlarında yüksek; “iletişim kurmaya isteklilik” alt boyutunda ise yükseğe yakın oldukları görülmüştür. Öğrencilerin iletişim becerilerinin cinsiyet ve sınıf düzeylerine göre farklılaştığı; bölüm ve pedagojik formasyon sertifika programına katılma durumlarına göre farklılaşmadığı belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak; spor bilimleri fakültelerinde öğrenim gören ve pedagojik formasyon sertifika programına katılan öğrencilerin iletişim becerilerinin genel olarak yüksek, beden eğitimi bölümünde eğitim alan öğrenciler ile pedagojik formasyon sertifika programına katılan öğrenciler arasında farklılık olmadığı ifade edilebilir.

Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate of students sport science faculty relationship between on their alexithymia status and ego-oriented goals levels to compare them according to different demographic variables. Methods: For data collection, “Alexithymia Scale” was used which was developed by Bagby et al. 5 and was adapted to turkish by Güleç et al. 6 For data collection, “Task and Ego Oriented Scale” was used which was developed by Duda. 7 and was adapted to turkish by Toros and Yetim 8 to 416 participants in total consisting of 138 female and 278 male students. For data analysis, through SPSS statistical packet program, frequency analysis, desciptive statistics, independent sample t-tests, one-way anova, tukey, pearson correlation analyze were performed. Results: A highly significant negative correlation was found between the participants' ego orientation averages and their alexithymia averages. (r= -.826, p<0.01). Conclusion: According to this; As the participants' alexithymia levels increased, their ego orientation decreased; in other words, it was concluded that as ego orientations increased, alexithymia levels decreased. This research has been planned to identify the factors related to the assessment of “The Leadership Orientations” of the students receiving sports education (physical education and sports teacher, sports management, recreation, trainer education departments) in the universities in Turkey. This descriptive study has a population consisting of the students receiving sports education in the universities in Turkey and a sample of totally 1032 students (N: 1032) (who attend physical education and sports teacher, sports management, recreation, trainer education departments). The data has been collected using The Student Information Form and the Leadership Orientation Survey. According to the means of sub-scales of “Leadership Orientations by Sexes” obtained by the students receiving sports education, a significant difference has been identified between the frames of “Transformational Leadership” and “Charismatic Leadership”. This difference can be explained by the fact that male students consider themselves more competent compared to the female students in these two sub-scales. Consequently, when the mean points of the sub-scales of the Leadership Orientation Survey [Self] obtained by the students receiving sports education in Turkey are compared, it has been observed that the direction and strength of relation between sex, class, department and school is “positive” and “moderate” and also those students have “people-oriented leadership” characteristics among the sub-scales of the leadership orientation frames.

Background: Communication is one of the most important and indispensable tools we use at every stage of our lives. It is seen that the existence of communication in human life is based on very old processes. It is the process of transferring the feelings, thoughts and information we have to the people in front of us. It is very important to make sense of the communication process on a regular basis. Aims: This study is a descriptive study to examine the communication skills of students studying at the faculty of sports sciences in terms of different variables. Place & duration of study: The universe of the study consists of students studying in sports sciences faculties of different universities. There were 226 (male 124, female 102) students in the sample group. The Communication Skills Scale developed by Korkut (1996) was used to obtain the research data. Method: One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), independent sample t-test and descriptive statistical analysis were used in the analysis of the data. Results: As a result, in the study conducted to examine the communication skills of the students studying at the faculty of sports sciences in terms of different variables, it was determined that there were significant differences in terms of gender. Conclusion: It has been observed that the students studying in the physical education teaching department have higher communication skills than the students studying in the coaching education and sports management departments. Background & aim: Educational organizations of the country need changes in empowerment activities of their human resources in accordance with the growth of information and communication technology. The purpose of this study was to Investigating the relationship between the components of professor' psychological empowerment with the ICT process in the coronavirus conditions in the faculties of physical education and sports sciences of Islamic Azad University of Iran. Methods: This research is applied in terms of purpose and correlational in terms of method and the statistical population is 86 that creates physical education in Islamic Azad University. Standard questionnaires were used. The collected data were analyzed by K-S tests and Pearson Correlation Coefficient, Manova and stepwise using SPSS software were used to analyze the data. Results: The results showed that the correlation between cognitive competence and psychological empowerment was 0.271, functional competence and cognitive empowerment was 0.267, emotional competence and psychological empowerment was 0.063, general skill and psychological empowerment was 0.194 and specialized skill was psychological empowerment. Is 0.201. Statistical results showed that there is a significant relationship between ICT and psychological empowerment in physical education professor (0.001). Conclusion: According to the study findings, information and communication technology can play an important role in sports professor’ empowerment and the use of empowerment training classes are essential to rehabilitate educational centers. The aim of the study was to determine the correlation between academic motivationand alienation of undergraduate students attending different departments in thefield of sports sciences. The 671 undergraduate students participating in the studywere receiving higher education in the field of sports sciences at Ege University,Faculty of Sports Sciences, in Izmir. The data for the study were collected throughtwo different measurement instruments, namely the Student Alienation Scale andthe Academic Motivation Scale. The results of the canonical correlation analysisshow significance in the first two canonical functions for the sample groups attendingthe Physical Education and Sports Teaching and Coaching Education departments,whereas the first three canonical functions were found to be significant for SportsManagement. In the evaluation of the canonical pairs obtained, it can be seen thatthe weakness and amotivation subscales stand out in the first function in all groups.Within the scope of the second function, while the “anomy” and “extrinsic motivation– external regulation” scales are notable in the sports management group, the“weakness” and “extrinsic motivation – introjected regulation” scales are prominentin the groups. As for the third canonical function, the “intrinsic motivation toaccomplish” and “isolation” scales underpin the relation for sports managementstudents. The internal dynamics caused by the differences among departmentsbased on their curricula may be the reason behind the differentiation within therelationship spiral. In addition, conditions of graduate employment and students’gains based on sporting experience affect academic motivation and alienation states.Keywords: alienation; athletes; education department; self-determination; sportseducation. - Cilj ovoga istraživanja bio je odrediti korelaciju između akademske motivacije iotuđenosti studenata dodiplomskih studija na različitim odsjecima u područjusportskih znanosti. U istraživanju je sudjelovao 671 student na dodiplomskimstudijima sportskih znanosti na Fakultetu za sportske znanosti Ege Sveučilišta uIzmiru. Podatci korišteni u istraživanju dobiveni su pomoću dvaju različitih mjernihinstrumenata – Skale otuđenosti studenata i Skale akademske motivacije. Rezultatikanoničke korelacijske analize upućuju na značajnost prvih dviju kanoničkihfunkcija kod skupina uzoraka koje pohađaju studij na Odsjeku za izobrazbunastavnika Tjelesne i zdravstvene kulture i sporta i na Odsjeku za izobrazbutrenera, dok se pokazalo da su prve tri kanoničke funkcije značajne za studentena Odsjeku za sportski menadžment. Nakon provedene evaluacije dobivenihkanoničkih parova može se vidjeti da se u prvoj funkciji u svim skupinama ističupodskala „slabost” i podskala „amotivacija”. Unutar druge funkcije može se uočitida se u skupini koja studira sportski menadžment ističu skala „anomija” i skala„ekstrinzična motivacija – eksterna regulacija”, u ostalim skupinama ističu seskala „slabost” i skala „ekstrinzična motivacija – introjicirana regulacija”. Što setiče treće kanoničke funkcije, skala „intrinzična motivacija za postignućem” i skala„izoliranost” ističu se kod skupine studenata sportskoga menadžmenta. Internadinamika uzrokovana razlikama između odsjeka koje se temelje na kurikulimamogla bi se smatrati razlogom za diferencijaciju na spirali odnosa. Osim toga, naakademsku motivaciju i stanje otuđenosti utječu i uvjeti za zapošljavanje nakonzavršetka fakulteta i koristi koje studenti imaju od sportskih iskustava.Ključne riječi: obrazovni odsjek; obrazovanje u području sporta; otuđenost;samoodređenje; sportaši.

Aim: To determine nursing students’ social appearance anxiety on wellness. Method: This research was conducted at Health Sciences University Gülhane Nursing Faculty, between 10 December and 1 January 2020, with voluntary participation of 319 students in total. The data collection form included sociodemographic information form, Social Appearance Anxiety Scale and Wellness Star Scale. The data collected by researchers was assessed with SPSS 18.0 software package using descriptive analyses, nonparametric tests (due to non-normal dispersion of data) and Pearson correlation test. Results: 93,7 of nursing students are in 18-22 age group, 86,8% of them are female and 42,3% of them are in the 2nd year at university. In statistical assessments, statistical difference was found between genders and economic conditions of students and their social appearance anxiety scale (SAAC) scores. It was found that the difference between students’ working status and their wellness star scale (WBSC) scores is statistically significant. According to the correlation analysis conducted between the two scales, a low-level negative relationship was found and it was found that there is statistical difference (p=0, 000, r=-392). In addition, it was determined that students’ wellness decreases as their social appearance anxiety levels increase. Conclusion: It was concluded that nursing students’ wellness decreases as their social appearance anxiety levels increase. In addition, it was identified that males have more social appearance anxiety. It was determined that wellness levels of working students are higher than those who are not working. ​Extended English summary is in the end of Full Text PDF (TURKISH) file.   Özet   Amaç: Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin, sosyal görünüş kaygılarının iyilik hali ile ilişkisinin   belirlenmesidir. Yöntem: Bu araştırma, Sağlık Bilimleri Üniversitesi , 10 Aralık 2019-01 Ocak 2020 tarihleri arasında, toplam 319 hemşirelik öğrencisinin gönüllü katılımı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veri toplanma formunda; sosyodemografik bilgi formu, Sosyal görünüş Kaygısı Ölçeği ve İyilik Hali Yıldızı Ölçeği yer almıştır. Araştırmacılar tarafından toplanan veriler, SPSS 18.0 paket programı ile tanımlayıcı analizler, (verilerin normal dağılmamasından dolayı) nonparametrik testler ve pearson korelasyon testi kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin %93,7’si 18-22 yaş grubunda, %86,8’i kadın, %42,3’ü üniversite 2. Sınıfta okumaktadır. Yapılan istatistiksel değerlendirmelerde, öğrencilerin cinsiyetleri ve ekonomik durumları ile sosyal görünüş kaygısı ölçeği (SGKÖ) puanları arasında, istatistiksel fark saptanmıştır. Öğrencilerin çalışma durumları ile iyilik hali yıldızı ölçeği (İHYÖ) puanları arasındaki farkın istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olduğu bulunmuştur. İki ölçek arasında yapılan korelasyon analizine göre negatif yönde ve düşük düzeyde ilişki saptanmıştır ve istatistiksel fark olduğu bulunmuştur (p=0,000, r=-392). Ayrıca öğrencilerin sosyal görünüş kaygı düzeyleri arttıkça iyilik halleri azaldığı belirlenmiştir. Sonuç: Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin, sosyal görünüş kaygısı artıkça, iyilik hallerinin azaldığı, sonucu bulunmuştur. Ayrıca erkeklerin daha fazla sosyal görünüş kaygısı yaşadıkları saptanmıştır. Çalışanların iyilik hali düzeylerinin, çalışmayanlara oranla yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir.

The aim of the study is to identify the existing situation of entrepreneurship, whose importance gradually increases for the last 20 years, among university students taking education in the area of education of physical education and sports; to study whether or not entrepreneurial personality traits (desire to succeed, resolution, practical intelligence, innovativeness, independence, self-confidence) affect entrepreneurship tendency; and to try to identify the degree of this effect. The sample of the study consist of 610 students from the Departments of Physical Education Teaching, Coaching Education, and Sports Management, who receive undergraduate education in Collegeges of Physical Education and Sports in Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey, Niğde, Aksaray, and Erciyes Universities and Faculty of Sport Sciences, Gazi and Selcuk  University. In the study, sociodemographic form as well as “Entrepreneurial Personality Traits Inventory” to identify entrepreneurial personality traits, and Entrepreneurship Education Inventory were utilized. As a result of the study, among entrepreneurial personality traits, other than the factors of innovativeness and independence, it revealed that entrepreneurial personality traits had an effect on entrepreneurship education. In addition, it was also identified that there was a positive directional significant relationship between entrepreneurial personality traits and entrepreneur education. As also understood from here, among the other elements (family, belief, culture, etc.) affecting entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial personality traits have an important place in terms of entrepreneurship education.
