The study of literary sources, as well as the analysis of the educational programs of public schools in different countries shows that tourism training is included in the school system in a number of countries. Currently, in the state educational documents of the Republic of Armenia, tourism training is included in the curriculum of the subject "Physical culture" in high school as an optional part. However, studies show that in practice it is not fully implemented, and there are many reasons for that. One of the reasons is that currently there is no scientific and methodological base for the organization and implementation of the tourism training program.

Julius Eichberg (1824-1893) made valuable contributions to the development of music education through his string and vocal instruction in Boston. Educated in Europe, Eichberg was a violin professor in Geneva before immigrating to the United States in 1857. He directed the Boston Museum Concerts 1859-1866 and composed four operas. In 1867, he founded the Boston Conservatory, developed its string department, and published string method books and chamber music. In the Boston public schools, Eichberg taught high school vocal music, supervised music for the entire school system, and taught teacher-training courses. Boston s school system became a model for other school systems. The annual Music Festivals in Boston, with Eichberg conducting choruses and orchestras, brought the schools positive publicity. Eichberg also composed choral works for his school choruses and edited music textbooks. Eichbergs work in string education and high school choral music laid foundations for programs in the twentieth century.

This study seeks to review how to formulate educational programs to prepare potential ideal leaders amid Indonesia's learning problems which are only limited to rote practice. This phenomenon results in students having little or no reasoning power. Moreover, many state officials have committed criminal acts of corruption so that students seem not to have moral role models. This teaching problem, in essence, can be prevented by Plato's philosophy of political education. This study is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection was obtained from the literature. Primary data is taken from The Republic Plato, and secondary data includes books, journals, magazines, mass media, and writings relevant to the subject matter of the discussion. From the sources that have been collected, it is then presented and then analyzed/dialogued in such a way and a conclusion is drawn. Based on the results of observations on Plato's political education philosophy, the results obtained include; the domain of discussion refers to the human soul, so in terms of education, it presupposes mousike, gymnastike, and dialectic programs. Also the allegory of the cave that Plato used to criticize the Sophists and describe the struggles of gaining knowledge. Then analyzed, and then integrated with the 2013 curriculum, resulting in educational programs: reading of Al-Barzanji text - for Muslims - or spiritual songs - for non-Muslims; martial arts; Discussion in each learning session. From there it is hoped that the ideal leader for Indonesia will emerge.   Keywords: Leader, Philosophy of Political Education Plato, Education Program.

For abstract concepts to be well understood, students need to be familiar with the concepts and able to associate them correctly. Students cannot make scientific explanations on the subject unless they can establish relationships. This study aimed to determine the understanding level of 11th-grade high school students on “gases” in terms of chemical variables and any alternative frameworks on the subject of gases. A methodology, including both qualitative and quantitative design, was used for this investigation. Open-ended questions and group discussion methods were used for data collection. The questions were applied to 87 11th-grade students from three public schools. Group discussions were conducted with nine students. The students’ understanding level of gases was statistically presented based on the predetermined categories. Besides, alternative frameworks on gases were described with direct excerpts taken from the students’ statements. According to the results of the study, it was concluded that the students’ understanding level of gases was low. In addition, it was observed that students were often inadequate in explaining gas-related events and that there were numerous unscientific errors in their explanations. Active learning methods should be designed to minimize the alternative conceptions of high school students on gases and focus on the conceptual and scientific understanding of students.
