Course Management System (CMS) is now probably the most used educational technologies in higher education, behind only the Internet and common office software. It can facilitate posting content, participating in discussions, maintaining a grade book, tracking participation and managing learning activities in an online environment for instructors and learners. But question arises to what extent these systems are successful in developing countries like Bangladesh. Unfortunately there are very few reports and publication that have tried to focus on above issues. In this study, an evaluation and analysis of CMS in developing countries like Bangladesh was carried out to assess the success of the system by using “ITPOSMO' model. The study found that CMS is partially failing in higher educational institutions in Bangladesh.

The relevance of the study, due to the water difficult environmental situation increasing in the transboundary river basin (TRB) of Irtysh is related to the failure to address the issues of coordinated water use in the certain national segments: the Irtysh basin and its large left tributaries, the rivers Ishim and Tobol within the borders of Kazakhstan, China and Russia. The purpose of the study is to assess current processes of the water management system in the TRB formation and functioning, to identify current and potential problems of water use and to find ways to eliminate neutralize and prevent them in the future. The leading methods of research are system-dialectical, which provides for the water management systems study of the basin in question at the stage of formation, functioning and future development; as well as a comparative geographic method aimed at identifying and analyzing individual water management systems of the Irtysh TRB. Results of the study: The main water management problems in the Irtysh TBD were identified, their evaluation was determined and the their manifestation features in each of the identified national natural and economic subsystems were determined, the directions of their coordinated decision by all basin countries based on the methodology of strategic management adopted and widely implemented by the international scientific community. The significance of the study showed the severity of water management problems and the asymmetry of their solutions in different national segments of the Irtysh TRB, mainly due to incompleteness of the institutional environment for water resources management and inconsistency of the countries interests within its borders.

Since the birth of clickers at Pennsylvania State University, there have been numerous arguments on its effectiveness. This study, aiming to review use of clickers in education, examined literature over around a decade on use of clickers, involving benefits and defects of use of clickers, peer discussion, use of clickers in learning, teaching and problem solving, the effectiveness of use of clickers among non-students. Besides, relationships between lecturing and learning aided with clickers, and current developments in use of clickers were also reviewed and discussed. It was concluded that clickers, as one form of modern technology, had gained growing popularity due to their advantages, such as peer discussion, anonymity and instant feedback although disputes still remained. More studies on clickers and other new technologies were still needed to further push forward levels of education. Cross-disciplinary cooperation between computers, education and psychology may be needed to design more advanced educational technologies.

The article investigates emotional intelligence and the modes of its formation and development among future social teachers. The hypothesis: the use of interactive educational technologies in teaching humanitarian subjects among future social teachers in practical classes in the form of socio-psychological training (TPS) contributes to the development of emotional intelligence. Students at the Faculty of Social Sciences of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (ENU after L.N. Gumilyovy) and students from the Faculty of Pedagogy at K.Zhubanov Aktobe Regional State University participated in the study. To achieve the goals, humane disciplines for social teachers used the SPT with the aim of updating students' creative potential, developing empathy and other components of emotional intelligence (EI). An analysis of EI indicators for subjects in the early and late stages of the study confirmed our hypothesis that the use of interactive educational technologies in teaching humanitarian subjects among future social teachers in the form of socio-psychological training (TPS) has a positive impact on o formation and further development of the intrapersonal and interpersonal aspects of emotional intelligence.

The main objective of this paper is to present the authors’ experience in preparing students doing the Primary Education course to implementation of innovative educational technologies in their professional activity. The article describes model of learning activity organization for students (future teachers) aimed to prepare them for innovative professional activity. This model was developed by the authors. It includes a number of stages: informative-motivational, operational, predictive, organizational and reflective. In this order the students pass the stages, i.e. get deeper understanding of innovative educational technologies applied in modern school lower grades. Each stage of the model uses educational strategies that help students to prepare to innovative activities: “intellectual and developmental teaching”, “Being within content” strategy, “simulation”, etc. Implementation of this model in Pskov State University proved its efficiency. Students that took part in the experiment showed positive dynamics in developing all components of readiness to innovative activity. The article pays special attention to the practical aspect of students’ readiness.

It has become very popular to view the human as a processor of information, with reaction time (RT) used in various ways to measure the speed of information processing. In many sports quick decisions are essential to success. It is tempting to study reaction time, infer information-processing ability, and use the results to make predictions about success. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between various RT and movement time (MT) measures [simple RT, simple MT, simple total response time (TRT), choice RT, choice MT, choice TRT, and information-processing ability as determined by the increase in RT from simple to eight-choice conditions] with batting average, slugging percentage, and total average. 40 varsity baseball players from Colorado State University, University of Wyoming, University of Utah, and Brigham Young University were given 24 practice attempts followed by 48 experimental attempts for both simple and choice RT and MT. These scores were then correlated with batting averages, slugging percentages, and total averages. This research demonstrated no relationship between the various measurements of reaction and movement times and offensive ability in baseball.
