This study looks at students' readiness for teaching and learning (T&L) of new norms in the Department of Information and Communication Technology (JTMK), Polytechnic Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin (PSMZA). The purpose of this study is to identify the level of readiness of students' acceptance of the T & L of this new norm and the existing facilities that influence the implementation of T&L’s new norm. This study uses a quantitative method involving a sample of study consisting of 81 students from semester 3 and 4 JTMK, PSMZA, and uses a questionnaire as a research instrument. All data collected were analysed with Statistical Package Social Science 20 (SPSS 20) software. The data obtained are analysed and presented in the form of percentages and mean scores which will then be interpreted in tabular form. Overall, the results of the study show that the level of readiness of students' acceptance of the T&L of the new norm is at a moderate level. However, the availability of existing facilities that influence the implementation of learning in the new norm shows a high level.

The study was conducted focused on the utilization of Information and Communication Technology in Technical-Vocational Schools in Region V, Philippines, School Year 2011-2012. It determined the profile of teachers, adequacy of ICT equipment, competence of teachers and their relationships. The data were gathered through a questionnaire-checklist formulated by the researcher. The validity and reliability of the instrument were ensured. Findings revealed that the majority of the teachers are 26 years old and above. Three-fourths of them have attended a very minimal number (1-3 times) of ICT – related training. Eighty-four percent of the teachers have master’s degrees; fifty percent of them have served the government for more than 10 years; fifty-eight percent were occupying Teacher I position; twelve percentage designated to different administrative functions. There is fairly adequate ICT tools and equipment and the teachers are competent in working with word processors only. Furthermore, the age of teachers and the competences is significantly related to using ICT tools and equipment. The researcher concluded that there is a dearth of ICT-related training for teachers of all age levels and ICT tools and equipment should be procured to sustain the development of competence among teachers. It is recommended therefore to implement the proposed ICT development plan and the conduct of further research on the extent of utilization of ICT tools and equipment along the actual teaching-learning process.

Purpose Virtual teams are on the rise and many companies are implementing them to compete for the most talented experts. However, the use of information and communication technology (ICT), on which virtual teams depend, often ends in communication chaos. Research has shown that shared mental models (SMM), which are knowledge structures on team level, enhance team communication. In teams, which use ICTs, shared mental models of ICTs (ICT SMM) seem to be important. However, few studies that investigated ICT SMM have used different measurements that restrict their generalization. The purpose of this study is to define ICT SMM as well as develop and validate an ICT SMM scale. Design/methodology/approach This study used a cross-sectional questionnaire in two different samples (N1 = 117 students and N2 = 165 employees). Findings The results of item and factor analyses indicated that ICT SMM contain at least two facets, ICT functionalities and task-specific ICT use and are distinct from teamwork, taskwork and temporal SMM. The ICT SMM scale reached good validity and reliability. On an individual level, ICT SMM were positively associated with perceived team performance and coordination and negatively with ineffective communication, workload and frustration. Research limitations/implications Future research using teams as sample to validate the ICT SMM scale seems to be promising. Originality/value To the best of authors’ knowledge, this is the first study that developed and validated a rating scale to measure SMM of ICT in different samples.

The purpose of this study was to investigate students' pedagogical use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and the soft and hard factors that influence their use. The participants were 3380 randomly selected students from 24 public and private schools. A quantitative method was used in this study with Likert five-point scale questionnaires to collect data. The study revealed that students' pedagogical use of ICT was low. Most students reported that they were competent in the use of smart phones for educational purposes. The study found that soft and hard factors are interrelated and play a crucial part in students' pedagogical use of ICT. It was interesting to note that ICT competence, access to computers, and the programs students were enrolled in had impact on the results.

The development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is progressing very rapidly. Due to the strong era of globalization where computers and the dynamic internet become facilities that have dominated various life activities, so educational activities also require the availability of these facilities. Google Translate becomes one of the translation machines that can be used by academics in translating literature written in foreign languages. Google Translate is one of the media that can make it easier for someone to translate text from various languages into the desired language. This paper uses a descriptive qualitative approach with this literature study method aimed at describing the process of translating foreign language texts and pronunciation into appropriate Indonesian. The media can be used to translate text, both by word, phrase, clause, sentence, and even discourse. However, it is often found errors and irregularities in the translation of the entered text. The results of this study are that academics are greatly helped by the existence of the Google Translate application as a learning medium. Despite the lack of this application, learning academics still have a positive perception of their use. They believe that the results of the translation will remain accurate as long as they can match the context.

The development of information and communication technology resulted in the form of agreements turned into electrical forms, which are commonly referred to as electronic contracts. Discussion on electronic contracts refers to Article 46 paragraph (2) President Regulation No. 71 of 2019 on the Implementation of Electronic Systems and Transactions must also fulfill the legal conditions of the agreement. Based on this case, it is necessary to do a deeper study of the electronic contract, because it certainly has the potential to not fulfill the legal conditions of the agreement.Method research used in this research is library research. While the approach in this study uses a normative juridical approach. The source of legal material in this study uses primary and secondary legal materials. The results of this study state that the validity of electronic contracts in software applications can be canceled and null and void. Electronic contracts in software applications can be canceled because they do not meet the subjective requirements in terms of skills. This is because those who make electronic contracts through click warp have the potential to be immature, because they are under 18 years of age. Especially in the context of the use of smartphones or other devices related to the use of software applications, there are no clear rules regarding the minimum limits of users of such smartphones or devices. While the electronic contract has the potential to be null and void because the electronic contract is potential to conflict with the laws and regulations of Article 47 paragraph (1) President Regulation No. 71 of 2019 on the Implementation of Electronic Systems and Transactions. Electronic contracts in software applications are generally made using foreign languages, while Article 47 paragraph (1) requires that electronic contracts faced by Indonesian citizens must be made in Indonesian. Keywords: Electronic Contracts; Click Warp Agreement; Terms of Legitimate Agreement.
