Objective: To assess the factors (both job motivating and de-motivating) influencing the stability of senior executives in corporate hospitals and to find out the correlates of those job motivating and de-motivating factors. Methods: A cross sectional design was adopted for this study in which 14 factors were chosen to assess the level of job satisfaction using a five point Likert scale questionnaire. Seventy six senior executives with at least minimum 10 years of work experience from various corporate hospitals of India were interviewed using a non probability convenience sampling technique. Results: Majority (more than 75%) of the senior executives were satisfied with their job. Age, sex and work experience could not significantly affect the job satisfaction except for the stability of the job and salary and other added benefits. Conclusion: The current study makes an important contribution to the literature in finding the determinants of job satisfaction among senior executives built upon evidence from the findings.

The present study was intended to determine the level and factors of nurse’s job satisfaction working at public hospitals of Multan city, Pakistan. A cross-sectional survey was employed to collect data (March, 2019-May, 2019) from 441 nurses by utilizing a disproportionate sampling technique. Data collection was done by the application of a self-administered questionnaire e.g. McCloskey/ Mueller Satisfaction Scale. (MMSS).The level of J.S was measured by correlation analysis and to determine the most prevalent factor of J.S regression analysis was done. Correlation coefficient value of socio-demographic variables described that cadre, shiftwork, work experience, marital status, no of children, and working hours demonstrated a significant relationship with J.S. However, regression analysis of MMSS demonstrated a strong positive association with J.S. Nurse's satisfaction could be improved through cultivating a positive work environment, increase in remuneration, decrease in workload, and maintaining work/family balance.

Background: Poorly managed postoperative pain is linked to numerous postoperative complications worldwide and in Ghana. This is due to the myriad of physical and psychological problems, such as lifelong chronic pain syndromes, impaired functionality and death. Purpose: The aim of this study was to assess the barriers and factors influencing postoperative pain management by Ghanaian nurses working in four hospitals. Methods: A quantitative descriptive cross-sectional design was employed for this study. Participants were recruited using a multistage sampling technique by which 146 returned their questionnaires out of 194 participants. The statistical analysis of data was done with the Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS) 20.0 version. Results: Findings revealed that some verbal and non-verbal cues from patients such as facial grimacing, restlessness, irritability and distress, lack of concentration and moaning or crying (verbalisation) influenced how nurses controlled postoperative pain with analgesia. The participants also identified several barriers to influence postoperative pain management by nurses. Conclusion: In conclusion, postoperative pain control by nurses is influenced by several factors, and hence, nurses need to manage patients’ pain effectively in Ghana and abroad using multiple approaches.

Background: Although substance misuse pattern is of growing worldwide concern, European countries have not been left out as they are uniquely going through a dynamic phase of drug misuse pattern. It is perhaps appalling, that little or no attention has been given to university students in aspects of drug policy and adoption of potential interventions necessary to curb this act. Consequently, this study aims to study the prevalence of substance misuse among students at a post-92 university in London. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional design using a convenience sampling technique was used. A sample of 150 students were required for the study. The recruitment process involved using a selfadministered questionnaire which was disseminated via email, classrooms and in the library. Results: The findings showed that majority of respondents were young people within the age group of 18-24 years and a higher proportion of respondents were female students. This study reveals the prevalence of substance use among students being 36 (24%), of the sample respondents who have taken drugs for non-medical purposes at least once. Cannabis and Cocaine remained the most commonly abused drugs in the university which is consistent with national evidence in the (United Kingdom) UK. Conclusion: It is therefore recommended that public health interventions targeted towards preventing substance misuse trends among students should be designed to raise awareness on its harmful implications thereby reducing its prevalence in younger generations. Keywords: prevalence; substance misuse; university; college; higher education.

Questionnaires were used to collect the data analyzed using Mann-Whitney test with the level of significance α = 0.05. The result of study showed that most of the patients (70.4%) received good family support, whereas most of them (63.0%) had ability to adapt to their disease. Moreover, the result of Mann-Whitney test showed that p = 0.001 and the level of significance α = 0.05 so that H1 was accepted because p < 0.05. It showed that there was a correlation between family support and adaptability of patients suffered from Cancer found at Yayasan Kanker Indonesia located in East Java. The more family support, the more adaptive the patients with Cancer adapt to their disease.
