English is the most widespread and dominant business language and it has become compulsory for people to speak English if they wish to join a global workforce.A number of research show that business communication is most often conducted i English. Due to its skyrocketing use,a tendency for designing specialized courses which focus more on specific outcomes and industries is observed, especially for English department students. By addressing specific audiences and catering for specific needs,English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is the example of this category.This paper focuses on English for e-Tourism and the teaching strategies which are implemented in order to adjust the course to students’ needs. The emphasis is taken into consideration because the relationship between technology and tourism has become delicate and challenging.  Observations on this inseparable relationship assume a great importance when considering the varied world of tourism activities, where the strict dependence on technology for the efficient and effective management of information has caused a real revolution due to the diffusion of online applications. The most recent developments of the web and social networks have then further accentuated the influence of ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies) on the sector of education. Moreover, the important aspects of English for e-Tourism will be highlighted since the adoption of new technologies has reshaped the entire process of tourism service development as well as the entire tourism industry as a whole. Finally, reference will be made to the responsibilities that both teachers and students have in the ESP framework.

Purpose To evaluate some of the current discussion about the possible impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on wildlife tourism destinations. There could be either positive and/or negative impacts and this viewpoint provides some reflection on what the future might hold for some if not many wildlife tourism destinations when the global tourism industry resumes. Design/methodology/approach A combination of tourism and environmental impact research studies and online resources are used to demonstrate the wildlife tourism-conservation nexus and provide a commentary regarding the impact of COVID-19 on the wildlife tourism system. Findings This paper provides a context and viewpoint on the possible implications of post COVID-19 reflection for wildlife tourism operations in the future. Research limitations/implications This viewpoint paper captures only a snapshot of rapidly emerging online perspectives but at the same time draws together relevant research that emphasises the importance of wildlife tourism. Practical implications This paper enables an appreciation of the implications of not reflecting on the way that tourism and the environment are currently/recently managed and funded. One possibility is that we could arrive at a different baseline that reflects degraded wildlife tourism conditions. If, in a post COVID-19 world, a new awareness of the vulnerability of species and the tourism upon which it is dependent arises, this could open the door for improved tourism management and conservation of species that are of high tourism value. Social implications This paper offers a synthesis of views that fosters understanding of the possibility of damage to wildlife tourism resources due to the social and economic impacts of COVID-19 on the global nature-based tourism sector. Originality/value The viewpoint proffered in this paper provides scope for a rapid evaluation of the current status of wildlife tourism, its vulnerability and the need to reflect on the industry in a post COVID-19 world.

As a new tourism industry model, the ice and snow sports tourism industry has played an increasingly important role in the development of China’s entire tourism industry. This paper analyzes the structural optimization of the ice and snow sports industry chain based on sensor network communication and artificial intelligence and aims to fully apply sensor network communication and artificial intelligence technology to the development of the ice and snow sports industry. Let us look for an optimized method to promote the development of the ice and snow sports industry chain structure. This paper conducts a research on the optimization of the ice and snow sports industry chain structure based on sensor network communication and artificial intelligence. In the method part, this article explains the architecture of sensor nodes and networks, uses the long-term monitoring of wireless sensor networks and the flexibility of the data acquisition structure, combined with the superiority of artificial intelligence in information processing and analysis, to obtain and analyze the experimental data of this research, and introduces the specific content of artificial intelligence and the ice and snow sports industry. In the algorithm, the grey relational analysis method is introduced. In the part of the experimental results, experiments were carried out on the ice and snow city resources, competitive advantages, the quarterly average value of the ice and snow sports enterprise prosperity index, ice and snow sports venues, GDP, and the speed comparison and structure of the development of the sports industry, and simulation experiments were carried out from the perspective of sensors. On the whole, the development curve of China’s ice and snow sports industry basically conforms to the economic development curve. With the slowdown of GDP growth rate, the growth rate of the sports industry slowed down simultaneously. However, despite the continued decline in economic growth, the sports industry has ushered in a peak of development, with a growth rate of 89.45%, a year-on-year increase of 69.3 percentage points. This phenomenon shows that the sports industry has sufficient endogenous development momentum and huge development potential. It is an important driving force and emerging growth point of the economic society and modern services. It has a comprehensive driving role in stimulating urban consumption, promoting economic transformation and upgrading, and driving the development of the service industry.
