Exploring ‘attitude toward finance’ as a factor predicting financial literacy is a new area of inquiry in academic literature. This study is a preliminary investigation of attitudes toward finance among a sample of students in higher education in Italy. It uses ten focus group discussions as data collecting method. Respondents are a total of 98 learners attending the Faculty of Business and Economics in a large University in  northern Italy, majoring in the areas of Finance, Accounting, or Marketing. The aim of this study is to assess the state of the art of the beliefs, feelings and self-perceptions of the target group regarding financial matters and practices, and to generate a questionnaire to measure attitudes toward finance in future quantitative studies. A Chi-Square analysis is used to analyse the collected data and determine if there are significant associations between students’ attitudes towards finance and characteristics like gender, level of study (first or second cycle degree) and faculty major. The research findings suggest that, even in a homogeneous cluster like our study population, the profile of attitude toward finance is not uniform. Overall, no significant differences are found between male and female students. Education level does not seem to significantly affect the construct either. However, the faculty major impacts on students’ attitude toward finance. Policy implications and suggestions for further work are discussed.

This study aims to examine determinants factors of personal financial management of Indonesian migrant workers in Hongkong. The determinant factors are 1) demographic aspects include age, academic background, number of dependents, and 2) financial literacy. The sample used in this study was several Indonesian migrant workers who are still actively working in Hongkong, especially as household assistants. This study used questionnaire method to obtain the primary data from migrant workers. The sampling technique was non-random sampling which was accidental sampling technique. The data analysis used was Chi-Square analysis. The result shows that: 1) partially, there is relationship between ages and personal financial management; 2) there is a relationship between financial literacy and personal financial management; 3) partially, there is no relationship between academic background and number of dependents with personal financial management. The implication of this study is that by having good knowledge and understanding about finances, Indonesian migrant workers in Hongkong are expected to manage good and wise personal finances, so that they can improve their prosperity.

The purpose of this study was to examine the perceptions of readers on the contribution of the Daily Nation’s peace messages to the 2013 elections in Kenya. The study relied on descriptive research design, which is a design in qualitative research and premised on Agenda Setting theory by Mc Combs and Donald Shaw. The study population consisted of respondents from four marked newspaper-vending points within Nakuru town and the selected contents from the Nation newspapers. These newspapers carried messages advocating for peace between the periods of February and April 2013. Purposive sampling was used to choose newspaper contents with peace messages and to select newspaper readers in Nakuru town. Focused Group Discussions and Interviews were used as research instruments. Content and textual analysis was the primary form of data analysis in the study. Research findings showed that Nation newspapers carried peace messages in news and feature stories, editorials, opinion and advertisements. The conclusions of the study show that although media experts and scholars accused the media of ‘indulging' in peace advocacy and forgetting their watchdog role, the respondents praised the role media played in ensuring after-poll calm, peaceful coexistence and tolerance.

Background: Coronavirus Disease 2019 mortality figures in Africa are comparatively lower than the figures in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Many reasons have been adduced for the differences which include the younger population in Africa. We therefore out set to describe the epidemiology and clinical features among in-hospital mortalities in our setting. Methods: This was a retrospective study of all mortalities due to confirmed COVID-19 at the Jos University Teaching Hospital from April 2020 to April 2021. Descriptive statistics were used to present results and Chi Square analysis used to determine the association between morbidities, sex and ventilator use. A p-value of <0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: A total of 80 mortalities were recorded over the 12 month period. Sixty one (76.0%) were males. The mean age of the study population was 61 ± 15 years and twenty nine (36.3%) were aged ≤59 years. The median duration of hospitalization for in-hospital mortality was 4days (IQR 1-35). Fever; 61(76.3%), cough; 59(73.8 %) and dyspnea; 56 (70.0%) were the commonest presenting symptoms and 35(43.8%) had the three symptoms. Hypertension; 48(60.0%) and type 2 diabetes mellitus; 36(45.0%) were the commonest co-morbidities in the patients, and 31(38.8%) had at least two co-morbidities. Eighteen (22.5%) had both hypertension and diabetes mellitus. Hypertension and having two or more co-morbidities where associated with requirement for ventilator support (P <0.013 and P<0.001 respectively). Conclusion: Fever, cough, dyspnea and two or more co-morbidities are common among COVID-19 mortalities in Jos. Efforts to quickly identify such patients and manage comorbidities are needed to reduce mortality.

Introduction: COVISHIELD and COVAXIN have been introduced post rapid approval as COVID vaccines in India, which has the second most COVID cases across countries. These vaccines are being administered in a two-dose schedule from 16 Jan 2021. This study deals with the clinical profile of individuals who developed COVID infection post-COVID vaccination. This is the first study of similar nature in India. Methodology: The study population comprised of individuals who were detected to be COVID positive 04 weeks post-vaccination and were compared with individuals detected positive within the first 04 weeks of vaccination. Data was collected in a digital questionnaire format and analyzed with SPSS v-23 software. Clinical features were profiled in detail. Chi-square analysis was done to find out the association of various demographic features with the severity of the disease. Results: In the study population, fever was the commonest symptom (75.1%) followed by anosmia (72.1%), and shortness of breath (16.3%). There was a lower incidence of fever, cough, dyspnea, and requirement of hospitalization in the study population as compared to the control group and previous epidemiological data. The time required for complete recovery and disease severity was favorable in our study population. There was a significant correlation in the rate of hospitalization among the study group and the comparative group (p=0.0001) and between the number of dosages of COVID vaccine with the lowest SpO2 recorded (p=0.001). Conclusion: This study will boost the ongoing initiative of having a maximal vaccinated population countrywide and emphasize the need for two doses of vaccination.

Objective of this research; 1) determine the perception of ranchers against the properties and behavior of the leadership of the companion in the Society of Al-Awwaliyah 2) analyze the relationship between productivity breeder with productivity of livestock in the Society of Al-Awwaliyah 3) identify the relationship perceptions of ranchers against the leadership companion with productivity of livestock in the Society of Al-Awwaliyah , The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from questionnaires which stem from ranchers while secondary data sourced from literature in the form of books and articles. Data processing was performed using Chi-square analysis using SPSS software version 21. One of the factors relating to the productivity of ranchers is the perception of ranchers against the leadership of their companion. Leadership companion views of the nature and behavior of which is owned by a companion. Productivity ranchers indirectly related to the productivity of the cattle business. Characteristics breeder visits of age, years of education, experience ranchers, and businesses in addition to ranchers. The results of data analysis showed that there is a significant relationship between business other than ranchers with ranchers productivity. The relationship between the perception of the nature of the companion breeder with productivity ranchers produce Pearson Chi-Square value is 9.751 and Asymp. Sig. (2-sided) of 0.002. This is due to interest ranchers against leadership qualities possessed by a companion who produce prolific ranchers. Ranchers consider that a companion of his leadership qualities are ideal as a companion.

This study aims to describe the effect of sanctions (individual sanctions, collective sanctions, and absence of sanctions) on cooperative behavior of individuals with medium trust in the context of corruption. Both collective sanctions and individual sanctions, are systemic, which means sanctioning behavior is exercised not by each individual but by the system. Cooperative behavior in this context means choosing to obey rules, to reject acts of corruption and to prioritize public interests rather than the personal interests. Conversely, corruption is an uncooperative behavior to the rules, and ignores the public interest and prioritizes personal interests. Research subjects were 62 students. The Chi-Square Analysis was used to see the association between the variables and the logistic regression model was applied to describe the structure of this association. Individual sanction is recommended as punishment to medium trust individuals to promote cooperative behavior in the context of corruption. The results showed that individuals with medium trust had more cooperative behavior.

In statistics, there are various terms that may feel unfamiliar to researcher who is not accustomed to discussing it. However, despite all of many functions and benefits that we can get as researchers to process data, it will later be interpreted into a conclusion. And then researcher can digest and understand the research findings. The distribution of continuous random opportunities illustrates obtaining opportunities with some detection of time, weather, and other data obtained from the field. The standard normal distribution represents a stable curve with zero mean and standard deviation 1, while the t distribution is used as a statistical test in the hypothesis test. Chi square deals with the comparative test on two variables with a nominal data scale, while the f distribution is often used in the ANOVA test and regression analysis.
