The digital technologies mediation, supose particular forms of knowledge construction which claim deep explorations, especially the interaction between actants and their ways of learning on virtual platforms. This article presents the results of an investigation situated at the crossroads between Education, Communication and Visual Design, carried out from a qualitative analysis of interpretive position. Starting from a case study based on virtual ethnography, the research is based on in-depth interviews, from which successively organized data were obtained from the emerging categories of the research itself (uses, skills, preferences and relationships). The conclusions suggest the need for a system of its own for on line education –that exceeds comparisons–, in which the assemblages disclosed here were considered and particular resources proposed that promote the participants learning.

Implementation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in distance learning requires some efforts to succeed. Currently in using internet for learningassisted service, UT has utilized tutorial online for 171 courses. In the implementation of tutorial online UT found many constraints such as the number of students who use tutorial online facility is relatively small, low capability of using ICT, high cost, low accessibility, and technical difficulty. E-moderating is one of the learning approach to be used in evaluating tutorial online for two sample courses in Mathematics MATK4531- Structure of Algebra and MATA4350-Mathematics of Finance. Research on the implementation of the on-line tutorials indicates that the development stages of tutorial online could facilitate learning experiences but there are some difficulty in accessing and socializing the facilities for new students. The efforts to acquire learning effectiveness in Tutorial Online at UT should be creatively develop.

Academic and political debates on the digitalization of agriculture have addressed sustainability mainly from an ecological perspective. Social sustainability, particularly questions of labor, has been largely neglected in the literature thus far. This is particularly problematic since digitalization could fundamentally change farming practices and labor processes on farms, with possibly far-reaching consequences for rural development, rural communities as well as migrant laborers. Looking at the case study of Germany, this article asks how digital technologies are changing labor processes on horticultural and arable farms. The aim of this paper is to bring labor into the debates around agriculture and digitalization and to offer a detailed picture of the impacts of digital technologies on labor in agriculture. The case study builds on fourteen in-depth interviews conducted from June 2020 to March 2021, participant observation, and digital ethnography. The results show new forms of labor control and an intensification of the work process linked to methods of digital Taylorism, as well as risks of working-class fragmentation along age lines. A deskilling of workers or farmers due to digitalization has not been observed. The suggestion of an increased dependency of workers due to the loss of employment opportunities in agriculture is contested. The results stress the importance of designing agricultural policies that foster fair and equitable working conditions.

Palavras-chave: Educação a distância; Educação musical a distância; Docência on-line; Tecnologias digitais. The Online Teaching: A Case in Teaching of Keyboard in Distance Music Degree of UnBAbstract This research aimed to investigate how teaching keyboard at distance occurs in Music distance education program at University of Brasília (UnB), as well as the use of digital technologies in this modality of teaching. The methodology adopted was the case study and data was obtained from semi-structured interviews with the teachers responsible for the elaboration of keyboard courses from the refered program. It was found that the teaching of keyboard at distance occurs primarily asynchronously between teacher and students and through the learning materials produced in advance and broadcasted through a combination of various digital media. The use of digital technologies is massive and its use sometimes is random. Although the interaction between teacher and student occurs mostly asynchronously to the detriment of synchronous forms of communication, learning keyboard is viable for the proposed goal: have keyboard instrument as a tool to teach and to make music. Keywords: Distance education; Music distance education; On-line teaching; Digital technologies.

AbstractOver the last two decades of the 21st century, university libraries have faced a major challenge: to align the traditional support of information with technological innovations aimed at teaching and learning. This becomes quite evident in the context of the SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) coronavirus pandemic, which forced information units to further rethink the way they manage and offer their products in virtual environments. Due to the restrictions imposed, libraries started to invest massively in training, webinars (web conferences) and online events, such as: seminars, congresses and workshops. The general objective was aimed at describing the use of media education by the University Libraries of UFRR and UFAM. In order to carry out this work, a research characterized as a case study was adopted, in addition to descriptive and qualitative approaches, with the aim of establishing the correlation between the informational quality and the services provided. It is proposed that the studies, objects of this work, continue, producing new actions and knowledge.

Intensive manual labor enterprises in the developed world face challenges competing with products imported from countries where manufacturing costs are low. This reduces the volume of domestic production and leads to rapid loss of knowledge and experience in production processes. This study focuses on the Israeli footwear industry as a case study. Qualitative methodologies were applied, including in-depth interviews and field observations. A literature review on previous research, and contemporary trends was conducted. The field research examines challenges along the value chain in small factories. It finds that mass production paradigms impose a decentralized process between designers and manufacturers and therefore do not leverage local potential into a sustainable competitive advantage for small factories. The proposed solution is a digital and technological platform for small manufacturing plants. The platform mediates and designs the connections between production, technology, and design and enables the creation of a joint R&D system.

Self-stigma experienced by people who experience schizophrenia has influence on reduced self-esteem, on powerlessness, the weakening of hope, and a motivation towards recovery. The aim of this study is to explain the efforts of people suffering schizophrenia to manage their self-stigma through self-control, using a case study approach. Based on the purposive sampling technique, five people with schizophrenia were selected as the cases to be studied. Data collection techniques utilized in-depth interviews, observation, and documentary studies. The analysis of the study data employed the stages of data reduction, data display, and data verification. Improvement in study quality employed the triangulation of data sources by checking the data to determine its consistency. The results of this study indicate that people with schizophrenia who have the ability to self-control can overcome self-stigma through changes in the manner of viewing themselves, self-training through activities, having endurance, having an honest approach, being able to explain schizophrenia from a positive viewpoint, having initiative, and having a positive attitude and the courage to face challenges.

The aims is to determine the correlation of the motivational and productive factors in the institutional context of the Civil Police. The case study was conducted by in-depth interviews with a Chief of Police, Police Investigator, and Actuary Police. The content analysis was used for fixed grid. It is concluded that there is clear correlation between the development of motivational artifacts, whether environmental or individual order, with productivity in the civil police institution. Also noteworthy is that despite the control and evaluation of productivity indexes were predominantly bureaucratic, institutionalized and legitimized, the connection that is established with the manifestation of motivational artifacts is subjective, relational and intangible assets in the institutional rules. It highlights this event in this article, because as discussed above, both the nature of the work, as the environment of the Civil Police, are in complete disagreement with the development of productivity and motivation in the classical sense of the aforementioned areas.

This paper reports results from a study comparing perceived risk associated with various recycled water uses in two Australian locations, both in the state of Victoria: the capital city Melbourne, and Bendigo a regional urban centre. Both locations are experiencing ‘drought’, but Bendigo is experiencing this in a more acute manner. A case study is used in each location. Both case studies involve future use of recycled water in new commercial buildings. An on-line survey was used to measure attitudes to recycled water of the future occupants of both buildings. The study found perceived risk associated with 11 uses of recycled water increased as the use became increasingly personal. Interestingly, no difference in perceived risk associated with 11 uses of recycled water was found between locations. Prior experience (use) of recycled water was found to be a significant and positive factor in reducing risk perception. Various attitudinal variables were found to be significant influences on perceived risk. Results indicate that reducing perceived risk of recycled water use may increase satisfaction with its use.
