The study was undertaken on utilization of farm animal organic waste as feeds for livestock and poultry. Increasing feed costs and international concern for the conservation of resources have focused attention on the nutrients in animal wastes that have in the past been used largely as fertilizer or as a major source of fuel for villagers in a number of countries. Animal wastes represent a vast reservoir of cheap nutrients, particularly for ruminants. The limitation in using animal waste as feed is that it needs processing. Dehydration, ensiling, chemical and physical treatments can be used to maintain the nutrient composition and increase the palatability and feeding values of the waste. Animal waste can potentially be used not only to maintain animals in the dry time but also to encourage performance quite satisfactorily. Feeding cattle manure in poultry and pigs promotes meat and egg productivity respectively. Pig waste, when processed and properly balanced with other ingredients, may become a potential feed substitute for cattle at levels up to 30%. No differences in the quality of meat from animals fed waste have been detected, nor has there been a problem of consumer acceptance in animal products.Keywords: Black Nera Laying Birds, Pig Dung Meal, Diets, Feed Cost, Organic Waste.

Dairy farmers, as profit maximizers, are constantly striving to expand the income producing ability of their dairy herds. As managers of their business, their direct concern is to attain high production per cow and enhance the average quality of their herd by removal of the unprofitable producers. They are also striving to earn a large income above feed costs, since feed costs comprise 50 percent or more of the costs of production. This value must be high enough to pay for the other costs of production, including a return to capital and operators labor, to return a profit. Proper culling or the identification and subsequent removal of the lower producing cows from a herd is important because of the increased average milk production and the resulting increased income above feed costs.

Sản xuất phân hữu cơ từ chất thải biogas để tạo ra nguồn phân bón và giải quyết ô nhiễm môi trường là vấn đề quan trọng hiện nay. Do đó, nghiên cứu được thực hiện với mục đích đánh giá ảnh hưởng của việc phối trộn một số vật liệu ủ đến chất lượng của phân hữu cơ từ chất thải biogas và từ đó xác định được vật liệu phối trộn cho chất lượng phân hữu cơ từ chất thải biogas tốt nhất. Thí nghiệm được tiến hành tại phường Hương Vân, thị xã Hương Trà, tỉnh Thừa Thiên Huế trong thời gian từ tháng 11/2019 đến tháng 3/2020 trên 6 công thức với các vật liệu và tỷ lệ ủ khác nhau. Thí nghiệm gồm có 03 lần nhắc lại, bố trí theo kiểu RCBD. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy vật liệu và tỷ lệ ủ khác nhau có ảnh hưởng đến tính chất lý, hóa học của phân hữu cơ từ chất thải biogas theo thời gian ủ. Trong các vật liệu ủ thì kết hợp rơm rạ, vỏ lạc với dung dịch và chất cặn hầm ủ biogas (1:1) + chế phẩm Trichoderma và rơm rạ, vỏ lạc, than bùn với dung dịch và chất cặn hầm ủ biogas (1:1:2) + chế phẩm Trichoderma cho chất lượng của phân hữu cơ là tốt nhất (N 2,72 - 2,92%; P2O5 0,92%; K2O 2,84 - 4,64%, OM 33,50 - 38,84%). Hiệu quả kinh tế trong sản xuất phân hữu cơ từ chất thải biogas thu được cũng cao nhất ở các công thức này. Cần mở rộng kết quả nghiên cứu trên quy mô lớn hơn và thử nghiệm hiệu quả của nó với cây trồng góp phần tăng năng suất, cải tạo đất và giảm thiểu ô nhiễm môi trường từ nguồn chất thải chăn nuôi này. ABSTRACT Producing organic fertilizer from animal wastes after biogas treatment to create fertilizer source and solve environmental pollution is now an important issue. Therefore, the study was conducted with the purpose of assessing the effect of mixing some composting materials on the quality of organic fertilizer from animal waste after biogas production and thereby identifying good mixing materials with the best organic fertilizer from animal waste after biogas production. The experiment consisted of 6 treatments with different composting materials and rates which was conducted in Huong Van ward, Huong Tra town, Thua Thien Hue province from November 2019 to March 2020. The experiment consisted of 3 replicates which was arranged in the Randomize Complete Block Design (RCBD). The research results showed that different composting materials and rates affected on the physical and chemical properties of organic fertilizer from animal waste after biogas production. Among the composting materials, the combinations of liquid and solid wastes from the biogas digesters with rice straw and peanut husks (1:1) + Trichoderma; rice straw, peanut husks and peat (1:1:2) + Trichoderma gave the best quality of organic fertilizers (N 2.72 - 2.92%; P2O5 0.61 - 0.92%; K2O 2.84 - 4.64%, OM 33.50 - 38.84%). The highest economic efficiencies also obtained in these treatments. It is necessary to expand the research results on a larger scale and to test its effectiveness on crops that contribute to productivity, soil improvement and environmental pollution from the animal wastes.

The prior use and age make refurbished products a less desirable option because they are perceived to be of lower quality, to have a reduced performance and a less attractive appearance. This research investigates one strategy on how to enhance the appearance of refurbished products and thereby encourage circular consumption via refurbishment. In 21 in-depth interviews, we explore whether embodying refurbished products in a timeless design can serve as a potential strategy to influence consumer acceptance of refurbished products. Specifically, we examined two design styles that were proposed as timeless: the neo-retro design style, which evokes nostalgia and benefits from associations with the past, and the simplistic design style, that is independent of cultural or time-related cues. Our findings provided qualitative support that the neo-retro and the simplistic design styles can improve consumers’ evaluations of refurbished products. Both design styles were considered to be timeless and elicited favorable associations in consumers. While refurbished products, following a neo-retro design style, evoked positive associations with old products, such as feelings of nostalgia and the good quality of the past, simplistic products benefited from associations with durability and associations with high-quality brands.

During the past investigations of immunoferritin localization of intracellular antigens in ultrathin frozen sections, we found that the degree of negative staining required to delineate u1trastructural details was often too dense for the recognition of ferritin particles. The quality of positive staining of ultrathin frozen sections, on the other hand, has generally been far inferior to that attainable in conventional plastic embedded sections, particularly in the definition of membranes. As we discussed before, a main cause of this difficulty seemed to be the vulnerability of frozen sections to the damaging effects of air-water surface tension at the time of drying of the sections.Indeed, we found that the quality of positive staining is greatly improved when positively stained frozen sections are protected against the effects of surface tension by embedding them in thin layers of mechanically stable materials at the time of drying (unpublished).

Heart failure (HF) affects more than 5 million people and has an increasing incidence and cost burden. Patients note symptoms of dyspnea and fatigue that result in a decreased quality of life, which has not drastically improved over the past decades despite advances in therapies. The assessment of exercise capacity can provide information regarding patient diagnosis and prognosis, while doubling as a potential future therapy. clinically, there is acceptance that exercise is safe in hf and can have a positive impact on morbidity and quality of life, although evidence for improvement in mortality is still lacking. specific prescriptions for exercise training have not been developed because many variables and confounding factors have prevented research trials from demonstrating an ideal regimen. Physicians are becoming more aware of the indices and goals for hf patients in exercise testing and therapy to provide comprehensive cardiac care. it is further postulated that a combination of exercise training and pharmacologic therapy may eventually provide the most benefits to those suffering from hf.

Change of expanded armamentarium of techniques for interfacing with the human brain and spine— demand that we use philosophical reasoning to assess merits of technical innovations.Bioethics can be defined as systematic study of moral challenges in medicine, including moral vision, decisions, conduct, and policies related to medicine. Every surgeon should still take the Hippocratic Oath seriously and consider it a basic guide to follow good medical ethics in medical practice. It is simple and embodies three of the four modern bioethics principles – Respecting autonomy, beneficence, nonmaleficence, and justice.Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a devastating condition often affecting young and healthy individuals around the world. Currently, scientists are pressured on many fronts to develop an all-encompassing “cure” for paralysis. While scientific understanding of central nervous system (CNS) regeneration has advanced greatly in the past years, there are still many unknowns with regard to inducing successful regeneration. A more realistic approach is required if we are interested in improving the quality of life of a large proportion of the paralyzed population in a more expedient time frame.

The aim of the work is to conduct a systematic analysis of the available research results on the possibility of using menopausal hormone therapy (MHT) in patients who successfully completed the treatment of endometrial cancer (EC). Materials and methods. The review includes data from foreign articles published in PubMed and Medline, and domestic works published on elibrary.ru over the past 40 years. Results. The results obtained allow us to consider MHT as an independent method of medical rehabilitation for women who have undergone EC. A clear patient profile should be established, allowing the use of this method, with strict adherence to health monitoring. Conclusion Patients who have successfully completed the treatment of EC require the creation of special rehabilitation conditions in the interests of maintaining health and quality of life and should be under the close attention of the doctor. Argumented approaches to the appointment of MHT in such patients will avoid complications associated with estrogen deficiency after surgery, radiation with or without systemic (cytostatic) treatment methods.

The article analyzes the main indicators of the evolution of the domestic economy and its industrial complex in the past year (in January — November 2019). It Identifies trends in this evolution, including negative trends that determine the preservation of reproductive threats in 2020: sluggishness, instability and low quality of economic growth. The main reasons for the fact that the objective resource capabilities of the macro level were clearly not used enough to effectively solve the urgent problems of technological modernization of the economy and increase people’s welfare are established. The main reason is the poor quality of public administration, including imperfect strategic planning and industrial policy; there is still no modern national innovation system in the country. Accordingly, recommendations for improving the quality of state regulation in its specified components are justified. The recommended measures, according to the author, will help the economy to move to a trajectory of rapid, sustainable and high-quality growth.

Aims: Computational modelling may help us to detect the more important factors governing this process in order to optimize it. Background: The generation of hazardous organic waste in teaching and research laboratories poses a big problem that universities have to manage. Methods: In this work, we report on the experimental measurement of waste generation on the chemical education laboratories within our department. We measured the waste generated in the teaching laboratories of the Organic Chemistry Department II (UPV/EHU), in the second semester of the 2017/2018 academic year. Likewise, to know the anthropogenic and social factors related to the generation of waste, a questionnaire has been utilized. We focused on all students of Experimentation in Organic Chemistry (EOC) and Organic Chemistry II (OC2) subjects. It helped us to know their prior knowledge about waste, awareness of the problem of separate organic waste and the correct use of the containers. These results, together with the volumetric data, have been analyzed with statistical analysis software. We obtained two Perturbation-Theory Machine Learning (PTML) models including chemical, operational, and academic factors. The dataset analyzed included 6050 cases of laboratory practices vs. practices of reference. Results: These models predict the values of acetone waste with R2 = 0.88 and non-halogenated waste with R2 = 0.91. Conclusion: This work opens a new gate to the implementation of more sustainable techniques and a circular economy with the aim of improving the quality of university education processes.

ABSTRACT This response to the recent contribution by Matthews (2019) entitled “The Past, Present, and Future of Accounting History” specifically deals with the issues associated with concentrating on counting publication numbers in examining the state of a scholarly research field at the start of the 2020s. It outlines several pitfalls with the narrowly focused publications count analysis, in selected English language journals only, as provided by Matthews. The commentary is based on three key arguments: (1) accounting history research and publication is far more than a “numbers game”; (2) trends in the quality of the research undertaken and published are paramount; and (3) international publication and accumulated knowledge in accounting history are indeed more than a collection of English language publications. The author seeks to contribute to discussion and debate between accounting historians and other researchers for the benefit and development of the international accounting history community and global society.
