Gambir contains functional compounds that are included in the class of polyphenol compounds. The polyphenol compounds in gambir are mainly catechins, a natural substance that has antioxidant properties. The purpose of this study was to obtain catechin compounds from Gambir extract, to determine the solvent concentration and the right extraction temperature to obtain catechin compounds in Gambir, and to increase the selling value of Gambir latex in the Farmer community. To get the results of catechins in Gambir, this research was carried out using the infundation method. The yield of the extract was mostly found at a solvent concentration of 45% ethanol, a temperature of 105 oC and a time of 3 hours, namely 81%. Qualitative test using FeCl3 reagent can be seen that in the filtrate extracted from gambir there are catechins which show a blackish green color when dropped with FeCl3

Toy making is a part of almost every civilisation, and still, it is continuing as a living tradition in so many countries. Toys play an overall growth for a child. It developed a child mentally, physically, socially, and emotionally. Though it has started as a folk tradition or community-based craft, it has commercial and strong aesthetical value. This study focused on the Chennapatna toy from India. Chennapatna toy is a environment-friendly toy made with softwood, natural colour, and lacquer. This study critically analyses the beauty of the form of Chennapatna toys and also explore how this toy is made by natural substance. Like other art forms, toys also represent art, culture, religion, society, and civilisation. This study also critically analyses the socio-cultural issues, which are well reflected through this toy-making tradition.

The appropriate endodontic material should eliminate the infection and inflammation to provide a situation for regeneration and healing of pulp tissue besides biomineralization. Chrysin is one of the active ingredients of plant flavonoids, which has significant anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. In the present study, this natural substance was evaluated for antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and mineralization properties on dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs). SEM, FTIR, and TGA tests were used to determine the successful synthesize of chrysin-loaded scaffolds. The antimicrobial effects of the synthesized scaffold against Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, and Enterococcus faecalis were assessed by the agar diffusion test and live/dead assay. The proliferation of DPSCs on these scaffolds was determined by the MTT assay, DAPI staining, and DNA extraction. Moreover, the antioxidant and anti-inflammation activity of chrysin-loaded scaffolds on inflamed DPSCs was evaluated. Alkaline phosphatase activity and Alizarin Red S Stain tests were done to evaluate the mineralization of DPSCs seeded on these scaffolds. The chrysin-loaded scaffolds reported antimicrobial effects against evaluated bacterial strains. The proliferation of DPSCs seeded on these scaffolds was increased significantly ( p < 0.05 ). The TNF α and DCF levels in inflamed DPSCs showed a significant decrease in the presence of chrysin-loaded scaffolds ( p < 0.05 ). The ALP activity and formation of mineralized nodules of DPSCs on these scaffolds were significantly increased compared with the control group ( p < 0.05 ). These results indicated that chrysin as an ancient therapeutic agent can accelerate the healing and regeneration of damaged pulp tissue, and this active ingredient can be a potential natural substance for regenerative endodontic procedures.

Inositol is a natural substance found widely in plants. It is used in therapies for many medical cases. The aim of this study was to determine the toxicity of myo-inositol (MI) and to investigate its potential hepatoprotective character. In the first part of the study, zebrafish embryos were incubated with 5, 10, 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100 mg/mL MI. Endpoints such as survivability, hatching rate, malformation, and mobility were evaluated. Our results demonstrated that the high doses of MI lead to increased mortality and malformations and reduce the hatching rate in comparison to the control group. Moreover, low doses of this compound do not produce a negative effect on zebrafish and even have the ability to increase the hatchingrate and mobility. In the second part of the study, the hepatoprotective effect of MI was tested. Zebrafish larvae from the line Tg(fabp10a:DsRed) were incubated for 24 h with 1% and 2% ethanol (EtOH),5 mg/mL of MI with 1% EtOH, and 5 mg/mL of MI with 2% EtOH. No significant differences between the groups with EtOH and the group treated with EtOH with MI were observed. Our results suggest that MI has no positive benefits on hepatocytes of zebrafish larvae.

Nowadays, natural substances are increasingly used in organic synthesis for their safety aspects towards the environment.  That is why we identified a natural substance through which it promoted the organic reaction, and it could be sustainable and from plant sources obtained, and through this natural substance, it promotes the synthesis of dihydropyridine and its derivatives under solvent-free conditions.  We have resorted to this method, being economical, free of minerals and solvents, to create highly functional dihydropyridine derivatives. It is promoted by the water extract of dragon Fruit (WED) at a temperature of (800C) . these (WED) promoted reactions are found to afford high yield for the  desired products and this method is  Protocol an alternative to the current procedures.

It is now well established that polyphenols are a class of natural substance that offers numerous health benefits; they are present in all plants in very different quantities and types. On the other hand, their bioavailability, and efficacy is are not always well proven. Therefore, this work aims to discuss some types of polyphenols belonging to Mediterranean foods. We chose six polyphenols—(1) Naringenin, (2) Apigenin, (3) Kaempferol, (4) Hesperidin, (5) Ellagic Acid and (6) Oleuropein—present in Mediterranean foods, describing dietary source and their chemistry, as well as their pharmacokinetic profile and their use as nutraceuticals/supplements, in addition to the relevant element of their capability in modulating microRNAs expression profile.

Introduction: Infection of burn wound is a chronical disturbance to the skin, which is caused by Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, but lately many cases found that both bacteria have been resistant to the antibiotic. To overcome the infection caused by those bacteria, it is important to search for natural substance that has antibacterial activity to both bacteria. The power of natural substance is underestimated. Studies reveal that honey can be more effective for healing burns than modern medicine. The previous research revealed that amber honey and white honey were used as an alternative treatment against Pseudomonas aeruginosa Multi Resistant (PaMR) and Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). The aim of this study was to evaluate the antibacterial activity of amber honey and white honey on PaMR and MRSA.Methods: This research was conducted by performing antibacterial test phase, determining Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC), and determining comparison value of antibacterial activity from amber honey and white honey to tetracycline. Results: The result of this research showed that both amber honey and white honey have antibacterial activity to both bacteria, by way of stronger antibacterial activity from white honey than amber honey. Amber honey and white honey have the same PaMR activity. MIC of white honey was 7.1% (to MRSA) and 12.3% (to PaMR), while MIC of amber honey was 10% (to MRSA) and 12.5% (to PaMR). The comparison value of antibacterial activity between amber honey and white honey to tetracycline for MRSA was equal to 1:1.08 x 10-4 and 1:1.62 x 10-4. The comparison value of antibacterial activity between amber honey and white honey to tetracycline for PaMR was equal to 1:5.62 x 10-6 and 1:1.03 x 10-5 .Conclusion: Amber honey and white honey have antibacterial activity against MRSA and PaMR.

Abstract Here an investigation regarding soil characteristics under Eucalyptus tereticornis agroforestry at two depths (up to 30 cm and 30 to 60 cm), was carried out at Research Farm of the Department of Forestry, CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar during 2019. Samples were gathered at a distance of 5, 10, 15, and 20 m from the E. tereticornis plantation. We analyzed the pH, electrical conductivity (EC), natural substance (OM), P, K and micronutrients (Zn, Cu, Fe, Mn). With an alkaline pH, the organic matter was deficient in both depths. In micronutrients, Zn was inadequate at both depths, Cu was marginal at up to 30 cm, Fe was deficient at both depths; Mn was inadequate at up to 30 cm thirty cm as well as marginal at 60 cm depth.
