Especially in a pandemic like this, information related to Covid-19 will be needed. However, social media can also be a place for people to spread hoax news easily. Students as agents of change are expected to be role models for society in using the internet. Purpose: to find out where the perpetrators of spreading hoax news take their actions and also we want to know the various forms of hoax news that are spread. In addition, we also want to know what actions students take as agents of change in response to the hoax news they encounter. Questions: We formulated four questions in this research, namely, what media are often found in hoax news by students? In what forms are hoax news often encountered by students? What is the content of hoax news that students usually encounter? How are students as a student? How do agents of change respond to the hoax news they encounter? Methods: We used quantitative research methods in the form of online surveys with Google Forms to present data and followed by qualitative methods in the form of interviews with respondents. We combine the studies that have been done for further analysis. Results: our research shows that students often receive hoax news about Covid-19. They found various forms and contents of hoax news. In addition, each student has their own way of responding to the hoax news they get. Limitations: The limitation of our research is the range of respondents which only includes students who live in Surabaya. Recommendation: our next research is to expand the reach of respondents and look for respondents who have been spreading hoax news to find out the motives they use.

The purpose of this paper is to make a case for the power of qualitative methodology as well as to demonstrate the contributions of qualitative methods in applied research and practice. As analytical material and as an illustration, we use a project where qualitative research methods produce more trustworthy and credible information about a phenomenon than did quantitative research methods. In the process of studying the market for research-based facility programming, we reflected on the heuristic potential and productivity of the methods that have been used traditionally. We made a comparative analysis of the survey and qualitative research designs when used for the study of situations that previously had not been researched or have rarely been researched. This study demonstrates a way of reasoning, grappling with the dilemma of “qualitative versus quantitative,” and reveals the decision making process, as well as some unexpected findings, in evaluating facility programming research. This paper contributes to promoting qualitative methodology in professional practice, in applied projects, and in industries that rely heavily on quantitative research designs.

Influencers are the new brand narrative. This is why many companies and institutions are positioning their executives –using their full names– to build loyalty amongst their diverse client base. On the other hand, the reputation strategy known as “CEO Executive Visibility” aims to promote a brand by putting the spotlight on its top management and aligning their character traits with the values that the organisation wishes to transmit, thus capturing new audiences, improving follower loyalty and generating more engagement. Along these lines, and using content analysis and quantitative research methods, and combining economic and communication factors as theoretical underpinnings, this investigation examines how the chairpersons of the companies listed in the Ibex 35 (the Spanish benchmark index) use the main social networks (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and personal blogs). The results obtained show how executive visibility strategies are applied in Spain and who the main influencers in this financial environment are. This research evidences that the chairpersons of Ibex 35 companies do not post consistently on social media and that there is a link between the public image of a company’s top management and the perception of a company and its commitment to its audience.
