To improve the deployment and optimization of the industrial structure, researchers and practitioners have performed a variety of researches in terms of regional leading industry selection based on AO Hirschman, Rostow and Miyohei’s principles. The criteria and methods employed in previous studies are mainly based on the mass industrial development data, leading to the limitation of study on the application in new high-tech district and underdeveloped regions. Due to lack of industrial data and detail industry information, it is difficult to employ the deterministic regional industry selection model. Therefore, an extended fuzzy-VIKOR approach that the expert-based and trapezoidal fuzzy number decision-making techniques, embedded into the VIKOR steps is proposed. It is developed to solve the regional leading industry selection problems concerning industrial, economic, social and environmental dimensions. Finally, a case study for the industrial planning of a high-tech zone is applied to verify the proposed decision-making approach.

Shaping and marketing a product in tablet form is an easy and economical alternative to product shaping. Products in tablet form now cover almost all fields, so that the demand for tablet tooling of various sizes and variations continues to increase. As an effort to support the effectiveness and proper industrial planning, it is necessary to carry out an analysis of the machine and material requirements to produce tablet tooling which is the aim of this study. To achieve these objectives, the methods used in this study include product design, operation plan analysis, and calculation of material requirements and number of machines. The result shows that the number of machine requirements to manufacture the die and punch of tablet tooling with the demand of 200 unit/day are two units of power hacksaw, five units of lathe machine, and a unit of milling machine. On the other hand, the material requirements needed in one day are 22.24 m (Ø45 mm x 5 bars) and 12.79 m (Ø18 mm x 3 bars).

In any industrial planning project in Vietnam, housing for workers is always a top concern. However, these planned accommodations have not met workers' needs; Instead, they usually opted for housing out of planning. By carrying out a field survey, using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and multiple regression methods, this research will discover new factors and examine the relationships among variables to determine the elements that influence the workers' choice in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). It may lead to the planning re-evaluation and adjustments to meet the demands of workers. Abstract. The role of the industrial sector in meeting the livelihoods of the people of Banten should be accompanied by efforts to develop an industrial system that prioritizes the halal value on its production. The development of the halal industry can be realized with a system of planning, implementation and supervision in accordance with the principle of halal thayyibah. The method that will be used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Information gathered from the initial research is expected to provide an overview and prescription of the relationship between the planning, implementation, and supervision of the implementation of the Halal Industry in Banten Province. The results of this study explain that aspects of industrial planning should pay attention to aspects of Maqashid Syariah and aspects of trust as an effort to provide certainty that industrial products are in accordance with halal provisions. In practice, industrial management should not only issue technical rules but must also be accompanied by qualifications of basic sharia knowledge in production activities. While in the aspect of supervision, the person in charge must have a deep understanding of the aspects of li dzatihi, li ghairihi, and li aqibatihi as the main components of the halal system. Constraints on halal industry development are experienced by micro and small businesses due to certification costs, inadequate halal industry governance, and fears of leakage of company product secrets.Abstrak: Peran sektor industri dalam memenuhi hajat hidup masyarakat Banten hendaknya harus dibarengi upaya pengembangan sistem Industri yang mengedepankan nilai halal pada produksinya. Industrial culture is both a product and a mover of industrial development. The owners of industries and the workers have a long term relationship which is derived from the operation of the sector, and that constitutes industrial culture. The study was carried out through a deep literature review whereby various issues pertinent to industrial culture and development, were articulated for the identification of the highlights critical for the advancement of the industrial sector in Tanzania. A change in perception and embracing of the new culture are aspects necessary for the perfection of industrialization and industrial production systems. Industrial culture requires a new vision for industry owners, industry employees, and both the potential and actual consumers of the branded industrial goods. For industry owners, this implies a change from exporting raw materials to the export of standardized industrial products. For the consumers, a change envisaged is from the consumption of branded agro-products to the consumption of branded and standardized industrial goods. At the current onset of industrialization, the Tanzania government requires an understanding of what an industrialized country should respond to addressing cultural issues for prospective positive operation and growth of the sector. The broad agro-based industrial development scheduled for the country requires an integration of various trans-sectoral strategies extending to issues of employment, industrial planning, and spatial location of industries. As such, the main findings of the paper stresses that there is the paucity of industrial culture in Tanzania, hence the need to accommodate it for sustainable industrial development. Political readiness is essential for the selection of appropriate industrial technologies to cope with the modern production process. Cultural transformation is a necessity for the enhancement of the benefits of agglomeration and the advancement of the sector. The above are the preconditions for a move towards a meaningful and appropriate industrial path for Tanzania.

This study seeks a scientific methodology for ecological leisure industry planners to contribute to a more ecologically friendly leisure industry. This study creates an environment suitability model (LIDES) for leisure industry development. This model sees the natural ecological environment as just as important as the artificial environment. This study identifies the following factors: suitable land, unsuitable land, park plaza, scenic spot, river system, global network reachability, local network reachability, business impact, industrial impact. The Spatial Syntax method is used to account for effects of the urban road network. This method is incorporated into a geographic information system-analytic hierarchy process (GIS-AHP) approach, thus developing this method further. The method is demonstrated in the leisure industry in Shapingba District of Chongqing, China. The final suitability index map for ecological leisure industry is divided into four types: highly suitable, moderately suitable, marginally suitable, and low suitability areas. As a result, 8.08% (42.55 km2) of the study area has low suitability, 82.61% (435.15 km2) has marginal suitability, 8.62% (45.42 km2) has moderate suitability and 0.69% (3.65 km2) has the best suitability for creating an ecological leisure industry area. Discussion and relevant suggestions are given for further research.
