Symbiosis Mechanism of Academic Journals and Discipline Construction in Chinese Colleges

Academic journals and discipline construction in colleges are two major drivers of scientific progress. There is a complex interactive mechanism between the two drivers. The synergy between the two is worthy of in-depth research. The research aims include better developing academic journals with discipline advantages and back-feeding discipline construction with academic journals. The symbiotic theory provides a new research perspective for the cooperation mechanism between college academic journals and discipline construction. Drawing on the symbiotic theory, this paper explores the root causes and interactive logic of the collaboration between college academic journals and discipline construction, from the angles of the symbiotic unit, symbiotic environment, and symbiotic model. The results show that the symbiosis between academic journals and discipline construction in Chinese colleges mainly relies on two essential parameters, namely, academic talents and research results; although colleges provide a positive environment, the symbiosis between the two factors mostly takes place on unofficial information platforms and cooperation mechanisms, for the relevant policies are relatively new and mostly discipline-oriented; the symbiosis between college academic journals and discipline construction is mutualistic but remains in the intermittent stage. Therefore, it is important to find a more effective symbiotic path for college academic journals and discipline construction, following their symbiotic law.

Sports have great potential to bring people together and reach everyone regardless of age or social background. In most sports activities, people engage in amateur sports while to some people sport may also be a profession. Sports can be an important activity for the employer. It enriches the content of the work process, influences in better working relations, creates a positive environment in the context of the employment relationship, especially at a time when the work process is changing. The field of individual sports is especially popularized by individual outstanding athletes or sports teams that achieve results, visible and recognized beyond the territory of each country. The institutions these athletes work with or act in, in different roles, are particularly proud of such individuals. Universities can also act as employers of athletes and the paper analyses the possibilities of such cooperation. Universities have a responsibility to provide a safe and healthy working environment.

RUMAH AMAN UNTUK KORBAN KEKERASAN SEKSUAL

A lot of sexual violence happened lately remind us there's emergency situation for some people that experienced it and need comprehensive legal protection to push the sexual violence. In the same time and another side, the shield couldn't protect was postponed until 2021 National Legislative Program (Prolegnas). This thing had a big impact to the victim because one of content from RUU-PKS draft has the policy to push the sexual violence and until now it has not been legalized. Until now they have not received their right and at the same time, they have to experienced the heavy impact, trauma. Facilities are 60% defective and a lot of problems shows up such as threat, coercion, etc to the victim and family. This research is the concept of a safe house that aims to protect and accommodate victims of sexual violence. It is hoped that it can become a boost for the government to facilitate victims who have been taboo to help them to help them rise up through a positive environment. This project is experimental, not only for the victims, but also for the surrounding community itself. Through the film 27 Steps of May, this project has a narrative way of transforming the victim's process of healing into an architecture that understands the victim. Di waktu yang bersamaan pula, RUU PKS (Rancangan Undang Undang Penghapusan Kekerasan Seksual) dinyatakan dilempar pada Porlegnas (Program Legislasi Nasional) 2021. Hal ini berdampak besar bagi para korban dikarenakan isi RUU PKS yang memiliki kebijakan atau sistem yang memadai untuk pencegahan kekerasan seksual dan sistem yang memadai untuk pemulihan korban sampai sekarang pun belum di sah-kan. Akibatnya, korban pun sampai sekarang belum mendapatkan hak sepenuhnya disaat itu pula korban juga mengalami dampak yang berat yaitu trauma. Fasilitas yang seharusnya bisa didapatkan oleh korban nyatanya 60% rusak sehingga menimbulkan masalah baru sampai adanya ancaman ke korban maupun orang-orang sekitarnya. Penelitian ini merupakan konsep sebuah rumah aman yang bertujuan untuk melindungi dan menampung para korban kekerasan seksual diharapkan bisa menjadi suatu dongkrak-an bagi pemerintah untuk memfasilitasi para korban yang selama ini masih tabu untuk dibantu hingga membantu mereka bangkit melalui lingkungan positif. Proyek ini bersifat eksperimental, tidak hanya untuk korban, tetapi juga untuk masyarakat sekitarnya sendiri. Melalui film 27 Steps of May, proyek ini mempunyai cara untuk bernarasi untuk menggubah proses korban untuk sembuh menjadi arsitektur yang memahami korban.

Relationship Ruptures

The social worker’s first task with clients is to develop a positive relationship, but as the intervention progresses he or she faces the ongoing challenge of sustaining that relationship so that the client can experience a positive environment for working toward his or her goals. As with all relationships, however, despite the practitioner’s best efforts, conflicts and misunderstandings may develop between the two parties that can threaten their bond and possibly undermine the work being done. The term relationship rupture refers to any event in direct practice that contributes to a deterioration in the social worker/client relationship once it has been positively established. The purpose of this chapter is to help social workers to become more skillful in identifying and repairing ruptures so that the relationship can resume in a productive direction.

Mentoring Faculty Through the Glass Ceiling at HBCUs

The mission of this chapter is to discuss the glass ceiling and the contributing factors that seem to impact faculty members at HBCUs continuously; provide insight on effective strategies to avoid pitfalls, and to provide helpful recommendations to advance to new grounds once the glass ceiling becomes unbreakable. While steps have been made to examine the impact of a positive environment, the individual is ultimately responsible for personal growth in their chosen environment.

Pribadi yang Bertumbuh dalam Roman Trois Femmes Puissantes Karya Marie Ndiaye

Semua manusia menjalani kehidupannya dengan bertumbuh, baik secara fisik maupun secara psikis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pertumbuhan kepribadian sebagai sosok perempuan yang menunjukkan superioritasnya dalam roman "Trois Femmes Puissantes" karya Marie Ndiaye. Sumber data penelitian adalah cerita bagian pertama pada roman "Trois Femmes Puissantes" karya Marie NDiaye yang diterbikan oleh Gallimard tahun 2009. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan datanya dengan membaca, mengidentifikasi, mencatat, membuat tabel, dan mengkategorisasikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tokoh Norah pada awalnya memiliki kepribadian inferior dan pendendam, lalu terdapat perubahan kepribadian, yaitu menjadi pribadi yang cerdas, pekerja keras, kreatif, tepat janji dan pemaaf. Proses pendidikan yang dilaluinya dan lingkungan yang positif membuat Norah mampu berdamai dengan dirinya sendiri dan sekitarnya. Selain itu, tokoh Norah menujukkan wujud superioritas baik sebagai pribadi sehingga menjadi pribadi yang sehat dan tumbuh. Tokoh Norah menunjukkan bahwa 'growth mindset' diperlukan untuk terus bertumbuh menjadi pribadi yang sehat. This study aims to describe the process of personality growth as a female figure that shows her superiority in Marie Ndiaye's "Trois Femmes Puissantes". The source of the research data is the story of the first part of the novel "Trois Femmes Puissantes" by Marie NDiaye published by Gallimard in 2009. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with reading, identifying, taking notes, making tables, and categorizing as data collection techniques. The results showed that Norah initially had an inferior and vengeful personality, then becoming a smart, hard-working, creative, right on promise and forgiving. The educational process and the positive environment made Norah able to make peace with herself and her surroundings. In addition, Norah shows a form of superiority both as a person so that he becomes a healthy and growing person. So, this character shows that a "growth mindset" is needed to continue to grow into a healthy person.

The relationship between teacher leadership and collective teacher efficacy in Chinese upper secondary schools

PurposeThe aim of this study was to understand the relationship between teacher leadership and collective teacher efficacy in Chinese upper secondary schools.Design/methodology/approachBased on survey answers from 1,074 upper secondary teachers in a Chinese city, path analysis was conducted to understand the relationship.FindingsThis study identified that a number of dimensions of teacher leadership (recognition, collegiality, participation and positive environment) had positive relationships with group competence. Meanwhile, the dimensions of developmental focus, participation and positive environment had positive relationships with task analysis. Additionally, when the authors treated collective efficacy as a single variable, the dimensions of developmental focus, congeniality, participation and positive environment had positive relationships with collective efficacy.Originality/valueThis study is to understand the relationship between teacher leadership and collective teacher efficacy in a collective culture and hierarchical education system.
