The article deals with the phenomenon of interdisciplinarity regarded as one of the main methodological principles of modern linguistics. Under discussion are the problems of the anthropocentric paradigm which at present takes a dominant place among other scientific paradigms. The relationships between interdisciplinarity and other methodological principles such as anthropocentrism, functionalism and explanatorism have been analyzed. The levels of interdisciplinarity as polydisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity have been highlighted. The assumption that some notions, such as discourse, concept, linguocultureme, foregrounding are interdisciplinary by nature, and can not be discussed within the framework of one discipline, is put forward. From the position of interdisciplinarity the scientific status of such disciplines as stylistics and cognitive linguistics has been discussed. One of the conclusions is that the interdisciplinary synthesis of Stylistics is determined by its internal links with all the language aspects (phonological stylistics, stylistic grammar, lexical stylistics, stylistic phraseology, stylistics of word-formation), and external correlations of Stylistics with the disciplines of the anthropocentric paradigm. As for the interdisciplinary status of Cognitive Linguistics, it is characterized by two tendencies: 1) correlations with both humanitarian sciences (Philosophy of language, Sociolinguistics, Linguoculturology), natural sciences (Psycholinguistics, Neurolinguistics), exact and technical sciences (Mathematical Linguistics, Computer Linguistics); 2) interpenetration of many notions and methods of analysis of Cognitive Linguistics and other sciences. The main conclusions of the research are the assumptions about: a) interdisciplinarity as a basic methodological principle of modern linguistics; b) a variety of forms, types and levels of interdisciplinarity; c) the interdisciplinary status of all the anthropocentric trends of modern linguistics; d) the peculiar features of interdisciplinarity in Stylistics and Cognitive Linguistics; e) the necessity of an interdisciplinary approach to the analysis of many notions of modern linguistics.

Cognitive linguistics combines knowledge of different sciences, such as philosophy, linguistics, psychology, neuroscience, anthropology, mathematical statistics and others. Therefore, cognitive linguistics uses specific methods and types of analyses. Among them is the method of corpus analysis, which is widely used in cognitive research. The Master Degree Programme “Digital technologies in philology. Computer linguistics” at Southern Federal University, Russia, Rostov-on-Don, aims at enabling students to master modern methods and other tools applicable in cognitive research. The teaching process covers several stages. They are: critical analysis of published corpus analysis research, working out the algorithm of conducting the corpus research, practical application of the corpus method, reading widely papers on cognitive linguistics when coming across some tricky points, arguing basic propositions of cognitive linguistics used in the research.

The modern culture of consumption often does not correspond to the principles of sustainable development, which leads to environmental pollution. As a possible solution to this problem, the authors propose to analyze the concept of sustainable consumption, following which can reduce the negative impact of mankind on the environment, which is an urgent issue at the global level. The aim of the study is to build a tool for comparative analysis of the level of sustainable consumption. The analysis is carried out in the digital environment, since this space provides a relative freedom of expression of the opinion of individuals, and the obtained data reflect the real level of “sustainability” of the behavior of participants in thematic social communities. The result of the research is an analytical tool tested on thematic social communities of the VK.com social network. In the process of building an analytical tool, primary and secondary tokenization were carried out using computer linguistics tools, an analytical dataframe was formed for a source reflecting the studied content-thematic component. To automate the process of forming a set of tokens, Python 3 programming language was used. The proposed tool can be used to determine the level of sustainable consumption in different social communities relative to each other. This approach can be used by companies to find target audiences and to promote environmentally friendly products. Moreover, this tool can be applied to attract consumers by increasing the level of sustainability in the corporate culture based on the research results. A separate problematic of realizing the developed methodology is the ethical component of analyzing natural digital information and the use of the results obtained on the basis of its analysis.

The article is based on the problems of machine learning in the field of computer linguistics, in particular, the identification of psychological types of people on the basis of text messages on social networks. The purpose of this article is to study the methods of machine learning Naive bayes and Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) to create a classifier for the Kazakh language, which determines the type of Myers-Briggs Type Index (MBTI) based on text samples of people’s posts on social networks. The course of research experiments in the use of machine learning methods and the results of the study are presented and the results obtained are compared.

The Master’s Degree Programme “Digital technologies in philology. Computer linguistics” at Southern Federal University, Russia, Rostov-on-Don, offers innovative multi-disciplinary courses based on the ideology of Digital Humanities. It combines knowledge from various sciences which complement each other in digital research. Cognitive linguistics is interdisciplinary in its essence as it makes use of different sciences, such as philosophy, linguistics, psychology, neuroscience, anthropology, mathematical statistics and others in order to explain the workings of our mind. This humanitarian science widely implements in its linguistic inquiry technologies, methods and tools from other related spheres. All these make it important to incorporate the academic course of cognitive linguistics into the Master’s Degree Programme. To better benefit the Programme the course is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. During the course the students get knowledge of basic assumptions in cognitive linguistics, which help to set their minds in ‘cognitive linguistics’ thinking. Further course-based experience enables students to carry out linguistic research applying modern methods of corpus analysis, cognitive analysis, introspection and other big data tools. The practical part is based on a definite algorithm of steps, which help to conduct multidisciplinary analysis and easy to follow in the students’ independent research.

Relevance. In Uzbek linguistics, a number of studies have been carried out on automatic translation, the development of the linguistic foundations of the author's corpus, the processing of lexicographic texts and linguistic-statistical analysis. However, the processing of the Uzbek language as the language of the Internet: spelling, automatic processing and translation programs, search programs for various characters, text generation, the linguistic basis of the text corpus and national corpus, the technology of its software is not studied in any monograph. The article discusses such problems as: the transformation of language into the language of the Internet, computer technology, mathematical linguistics, its continuation and the formation and development of computer linguistics, in particular the question of modeling natural languages for artificial intelligence. The Uzbek National Corps plays an important role in enhancing the international status of the Uzbek language.

Europe is a unique framework of communication with similar issues discussed in different linguistic and cultural areas. This paper gives a detailed overview of a discourse linguistic project that analyses this multilingual discourse space. We focus on the issue of vaccination since this is a controversial issue in the media of all countries that are of interest for this study (Germany, Italy, France, UK). Methods from discourse, corpus and computer linguistics are used to identify the most relevant linguistic, argumentative, and emotional patterns in discourse. The paper discusses these methods in detail. We then show how these patterns are annotated in our corpora and how the different kinds of annotations can be analysed in correlation.
