Purpose: The aim of the article is to present the information activity of a large European project based on information policy in social media. Social media are an excellent means of reaching a wide audience, while activity in this sphere reflects the degree of organisation of project partners and their involvement in achieving the project`s objectives. Design/methodology/approach: The present paper makes use of the experience gained while promoting the results of the GoSmart BSR project via social media. The GoSmart BSR project is concerned with enhancing the low capacity for innovation in less developed Baltic Sea Regions (BSR) through mutual learning, translating smart specialisation strategies (S3) into practical joint activities of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and applying best practices used in better developed regions. The project is fully integrated with 3S and aims at promoting efficient co-operation between the industrial sector, the R&D sector, and the authorities, following a transnational approach. Findings: Social media play a significant role in the three phases of the project life, i.e. disseminating knowledge (raising awareness), collecting and verifying information that has been acquired during the project, and storing and disseminating the knowledge acquired during the project. Originality/value: research on Social Media profiles is predominantly descriptive and focused on the organizational perspective all projects R&D. This research paper contributes to both theory and practice by studying the causal impact of these guidelines on research teams.

The automatic, sensor-based assessment of human activities is highly relevant for production and logistics, to optimise the economics and ergonomics of these processes. One challenge for accurate activity recognition in these domains is the context-dependence of activities: Similar movements can correspond to different activities, depending on, e.g., the object handled or the location of the subject. In this paper, we propose to explicitly make use of such context information in an activity recognition model. Our first contribution is a publicly available, semantically annotated motion capturing dataset of subjects performing order picking and packaging activities, where context information is recorded explicitly. The second contribution is an activity recognition model that integrates movement data and context information. We empirically show that by using context information, activity recognition performance increases substantially. Additionally, we analyse which of the pieces of context information is most relevant for activity recognition. The insights provided by this paper can help others to design appropriate sensor set-ups in real warehouses for time management.

The purpose of the study is theoretical and methodological justification and modeling of the process of formation of creative self-presentation skills among future specialists in the field of mass media at the university. A list of skills that determine the effectiveness of creative self-presentation is based on the analysis of works on self-presentation and professional standards of specialists in the field of mass media. The study revealed the specifics of the process of forming these skills at the university. The paper describes a developed by the authors model for the formation of creative self-presentation skills, the effectiveness of which was tested experimentally, a system of technologies and pedagogical conditions for its implementation is proposed. The results obtained in the course of the study are of practical importance, both for educational institutions of higher education, which train specialists in the field of mass information activity, and directly for specialists, whose integral part of work is the creative component.

The modern information environment is a complex social structure. The information that surrounds us every second can have both a fruitful influence, potentially leading to the development of the individual and society, and a negative one, which is aimed at the destruction of systems and humans. In modern society with its rapidly growing technical capabilities, volumes of produced and consumed information, the risks of information impact extend both to technical aspects of security and psychological and ideological ones. In this regard, the task of countering information threats at all levels is becoming a qualitatively new and important task. Russian legislation pays attention to all key areas of information security of society, but does not separate this concept by spheres of influence, examining the issue comprehensively. In the presented article, attention is paid to the analysis of the regulatory framework in terms of establishing the foundations of federal policy in the field of state development and in the field of preventing destabilizing information activity from the standpoint of external psychological information impact.

The basic principles of the methodology of research of mass media of social and communicative nature are considered. Emphasis is placed on the peculiarities of the methodological basis for the study of party media as an object of library and information activities. Various methodological approaches and methods have been studied, as well as their effectiveness has been analyzed, which gives grounds for concluding on the effectiveness of using the communicative component of the methodological complex in library research, which is based on the dialectical method. Different research concepts are considered.

In the digital stage of world development, information is constantly expanding its facets. That is why the exchange of information is a leading component of constant change in life. Although humanity is gradually moving to the use of electronic technology, acoustic information still plays a key role in information circulation. This applies to official communication in public institutions up to the highest level, business contacts in commercial structures and private communication between people. The process of transmitting information in acoustic form has dangerous consequences. The use of appropriate devices, such as directional acoustic microphones or technical intelligence acoustic antennas, which may be outside the scope of the information activity, makes it possible to obtain unauthorized information that should not reach third parties. Therefore, the task of detecting and protecting information leakage channels, including acoustic ones, is gaining a new degree of importance every day. The protection of the premises or building, where acoustic information regularly circulates, provides a set of organizational and technical measures and means of protection of information circulation, taking into account the peculiarities of the location and arrangement of the object. This study involves the study of the dependence of the level of the acoustic signal on ways to prevent leakage of information through the acoustic channel, which includes vibration noise by means of technical protection and coverage of improvised materials (shielding) of enclosing structures of information activities (OID). The experiment determines the degree of influence of density, sound-absorbing properties of materials and their combinations on acoustic oscillations, the source of which is in the OID. The object of the study was a basic room, where the enclosing structures are walls with windows and doors, ceiling and floor. It is also worth noting that the acoustic signal measurements were not performed in complete silence, which directly affected the accuracy of the results. This step was taken in order to best reproduce the conditions in which criminals often work.
