A growing body of scholarship studies the emergence of moral markets—sectors offering market-based solutions to social and environmental issues. To date, researchers have largely focused on the drivers of firm entry into these values-laden sectors. However, we know comparatively little about postentry dynamics or the determinants of firm survival in moral markets. This study examines how regional institutional logics—spatially bound, socially constructed meaning systems that legitimize specific practices and goals within a community—shape firm survival in emerging moral markets. Using a unique panel of firms entering the first eight years of the U.S. green building supply industry, we find that (1) a regional market logic amplifies the impacts of market forces by increasing the positive impact of market adoption and the negative impact of localized competition on firm survival, (2) a regional proenvironmental logic dampens the impacts of adoption and competition on firm survival, and (3) institutional complexity—the co-occurrence of both market and proenvironmental logics in a region—negates the traditional advantages of de alio (diversifying incumbent) firms, creating an opportunity for de novo (entrepreneurial entrant) firms to compete more effectively. Our study integrates research on industry emergence, institutional logics, and firm survival to address important gaps in our knowledge regarding the evolution and growth of environmental entrepreneurship in moral markets.

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of inflation, rupiah exchange rate, interest rate, money supply, industry production index, Dow Jones Islamic Market Index Malaysia and Japan on ISSI. This research used secondary time series data which is accessed from the official website of ISSI. The sampling technique used a saturated sample with 62 observations. The research method uses descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that inflation has a negative but not significant effect on ISSI. The Rupiah exchange rate, interest rate, and DJIJP have a negative and significant effect on ISSI. The money supply, industrial production index, and DJMY25D have a positive and significant effect on ISSI.

The reliability and health of bushings in high-voltage (HV) power transformers is essential in the power supply industry, as any unexpected failure can cause power outage leading to heavy financial losses. The challenge is to identify the point at which insulation deterioration puts the bushing at an unacceptable risk of failure. By monitoring relevant measurements we can trace any change that occurs and may indicate an anomaly in the equipment’s condition. In this work we propose a machine-learning-based method for real-time anomaly detection in current magnitude and phase angle from three bushing taps. The proposed method is fast, self-supervised and flexible. It consists of a Long Short-Term Memory Auto-Encoder (LSTMAE) network which learns the normal current and phase measurements of the bushing and detects any point when these measurements change based on the Mean Absolute Error (MAE) metric evaluation. This approach was successfully evaluated using real-world data measured from HV transformer bushings where anomalous events have been identified.

Abstract An application scheme of Poe based Ethernet technology in meteorological intelligent sensor system is designed. The working principle and implementation method of Ethernet power supply system (POE) based on IEEE802.3af Ethernet power supply industry standard are experimentally analyzed. The power supply part of the meteorological intelligent sensor makes full use of Poe technology to provide current on the network cable transmitting data, which greatly reduces the complexity of the power supply system and improves the reliability of the system power supply design. Through the test of the actual system, the function and performance of the meteorological intelligent transmission system have achieved the expected results.

Abstract The fishing port as the basis for the capture fisheries sector has a very important role in the national economy. Since the inauguration in 2016 until now, Untia Makassar Fishing Port has not shown an increase in activity as expected. This research objective is to make an inventory of the regulations related to the Untia Fishery Port Management Policies and how is the implementation of the Untia Fishery Port Management Policies. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The method of data collection is done by interview, participatory observation, documentation, and questionnaire. The results show that the Decree of the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia Number 74 / KEPMEN-KP / 2016 concerning the Management of Untia Fishery Ports has not succeeded in becoming a tool in increasing fisheries activities. Therefore, it is necessary to coordinate immediately with the Ministry of Administrative Reform - Bureaucratic Reform (Kemenpan-RB) so that the nomenclature of Untia fishery port managers can be immediately determined so that additional human resources and budgeting resources can be added. The efforts must be made so that policy implementation can be maximized in the community, namely (1) local government support for the initiation of the 30 GT ship to facilitate it to the fishery port for use and (2) local government support in the form of regulations for industrial entrepreneurs both in the ship supply industry as well as the marketing and distribution of fishery products to grow the fishery industry at the port of Untia.

The article examines the process of formation of the power supply industry in the 2000s using the example of a separate region. The market transformation of RAO UES was carried out under the slogan of increasing the efficiency and reliability of interaction between the economy and the energy sector. However, in practice, the creation of the energy market faced many problems, the specifics of the “special product” electricity, network problems, institutional and other problems. On the example of the Altai Territory, the genesis of the territorial power supply system is shown within the framework of the general concept of market reform of the electric power industry. On the basis of real data of the supplier of last resort and the real consumer of electricity and capacity, a retrospective of the relationship of these entities in practice is shown. The dynamics of the average price for electricity is calculated and its quite significant growth is shown for the entire post-reform period of observations.

The underground high-voltage power transmission cables are high value engineering assets that suffer from multiple deteriorations through-out life cycles. Recent studies identified a new failure mode – the pitting corrosion deterioration on the layer of phosphor bronze reinforcing tape, which protects the oil-filled power transmission cables from oil leakage due to deterioration of the leads heath. Two models estimating the phosphor bronze tape life were established separately in this study. The first model, based on mathematical fitting, is generated using a replacement priority model from the power supply industry. This is considered as an empirical-based model. The second model, based on the corrosion fatigue mechanism, utilizes the information of the pit depth distribution and the concept of pit-to-crack transfer probability. The Bayesian inference approach is the conjunction algorithm to update the existing probability of failure (PoF) model with the newly identified failure modes. Through this algorithm, the integrated PoF model contains a more comprehensive background information while maintaining the empirical knowledge on the engineering assets’ performance.

Decision and policymakers are looking at the potential of Industry 4.0 smart technologies to create a green economy as the European Commission aims to deliver the European Green Deal by rethinking policies for clean energy supply. Industry 4.0 will eventually be applied to all aspects of life; however, it is necessary to identify the challenges to the adoption of Industry 4.0 for a sustainable digital transformation. In this vein, the present study aims to identify the challenges to the adoption of Industry 4.0 in fintech companies and to develop a novel Fermatean fuzzy CRITIC-COPRAS method to rank the identified challenges and evaluate the performance of companies concerning the weighted challenges based on three decision experts’ support. The results indicated that “difficulty in coordination and collaboration” is the most significant challenge to the adoption of Industry 4.0 out of the fourteen identified challenges, followed by “resistance to change” and “governmental support.” In addition, the superiority and efficiency of the proposed method were investigated through comparative analyses.
