The Yorubà News, published by Obasa ̣, co-pioneered journalism, nay publishing, in Yorùbá language in southwestern Nigeria. Based in Ìbàdan and ̀ published by Ìlarè Printers, ̣́ The Yorùbá News, a bi-lingual serial in English and Yorùbá languages, remarkably had varying contents and wide circulation covering its locale, Íbàdan significantly; the southern protectorate, particularly Yorùbá land appreciably; and the entire nation, Nigeria marginally. Published weekly, Obasa – the Editor and Proprietor – successfully edited ̣ The Yorubà News ́ for over two decades from 1924 – 1945 when he died. Adopting the Diffusion of Innovations theory, this study examines the form and content of the newspaper. The form examines the structure and layout of the newspaper while the content discusses and evaluates issues covered in the publication. The form of The Yorùbá News is discussed in the context of the print media as a periodical by taking technical cognizance of its physical features: format, design and layout, typography, columns, paper, size and production quality. Content-wise, the paper exhaustively describes the subject matters of The Yorubà News ́ by dwelling critically on the issues raised, examining in details and critiquing its recurrent subject matters notably: the news stories, editorials, cover, advertorials, news and notes, etc. The inter-dependence of form and content is also examined to bring to the fore the social, cultural, political, and economic values of the maiden Yorùbá Newspaper: The Yorùbá News.

The accident of the accent is the hilarious and artistic device Wole Soyinka employs to portray the societal failings and ways to ameliorate them in Alapata Apata as a writer of national consciousness and global realities. Previous critical studies on this text have focused on the avalanche of satirical elements and their societal manifests in the play with little or no consideration for the accentual mistake (the accident of the accent) and its satirical implications. This is the critical lacuna that this study attempts to fill. The primary text shall be Wole Soyinka’s Alapata Apata which will be subjected to critical textual analysis. Inspirations are drawn from Gerard Genette’s model of Narratology as the theoretical framework to allow for the investigation of the intrinsic visual and auditory images in the text and to undergird the analysis of the findings. It is discovered that there are three prominent strands of accentual representations and their corresponding interpretations of Alapata Apata: Alapata Apata (the butcher on the rock), Alapata Apata (rock spliter) and Alapata Apata (the ruler of the rock domain). This paper concludes that Soyinka’s artistic talent in the play lies largely in the presentation of Yoruba, his mother tongue accent marks to sift out the socio- political faults in his society and by extension in the entire nation of the world.

To help resolve the current debate on whether countries should vaccinate the whole population against Covid, we offer a new perspective by looking at the issue as a case of diversity versus standardization, which, we believe, is at the heart of the issue, moving away from the politics. While diversity and standardization are, to a large extent, opposites, they are also complementary in social, economic and technological development. Over-promoting or artificially suppressing one or the other will harm the creativity and efficiency of an economy. The optimal balance between diversity and standardization is that when facing a new problem of an unknown nature, we must diversify and create a competition to find the best methods for solving it. In the current covid crisis, we have done just that, and now we have a good set of vaccines, some better than others. Once the best methods are found, the government of a country should concentrate and adopt them as the standard for the entire nation for implementation. When we develop vaccines, we need some diversity, a diversity of ideas, approaches and chemistry. Once the best vaccines have been found, we need to have standardization to quickly vaccinate the entire population and realize the benefits of the vaccines.

This article is devoted to the problem of motivation for physical activity of students. The current level of urbanization, scientific and technological progress, comfort is the cause of chronic "motor hunger".This is especially true for students, because current students are the main labor reserve of our country, they are future parents, and their health and well-being is the key to the health and well-being of the entire nation. In this regard, the study of the interests and needs of modern youth in the field of physical culture and the development of methods of motivational stimulation are of great importance and relevance.

Јovan Radulovic introduced himself to the readership as a writer of main- land, karst Dalmatia, as well as the literary successor of Simo Matavulj. The first two decades of Radulović’s litarary work were oriented exclusively to the topics related to his homeland. Only since the novel Braća po materi has his interests spread to larger urban areas (Zadar, Šibenik, Zagreb, Belgrade, Ljubljana). By skillfully inserting a multitude of data about the Knin region, about its historical, geographical, social and cultural circum- stances, into the narrative of the novel Prošao život (1997), Radulović highlights the great significance and continuity of Serbian culture in Croatia. In this novel, says the writer, I paid homage to all those who successfully built what was called ’Serbian intelligence on the Coast’. The basic idea that unites all thematic, motivational, characterological, narrative, expressive and qualitative factors of the novel is reduced to the allegory of passed life. It permeates topics, characters, time, events ‒ all elements of the novel. The basic idea is diversified in many different ways and by using different stylistic means: contrasts, sym- bols, allusions, allegories. The idea is particularly emphasized in the passages describing everyday life of the people, as well as cultural and historical events. Even the characters have one common role: to form a coherent whole, to revitalize the collective spirit of the people that, by losing its natural habitat, has ceased to be what it was there. The novel is completely built on Christian symbolism: there is a calendar cycle of the most important Christian and Serbian holidays: Epiphany, Easter, Vidovdan, Saint Nicholas and Christmas; mention is made of Gojko’s Golgotha, wiping feet with a sinner’s hair, mourning the dead, the riders of the apocalypse who come in the form of Ignjat’s killers. The basic idea can also be interpreted as a symbol of the Christ-like suffering of an entire nation.

What society do we come from, who are its founders and what have they done to make Bulgaria exist today? An invaluable source of this information can be found in the preserved archives of Ivan P. Milev, who describes the history and customs of a Bulgarian village – Dobri Dyal. The article presents his ethnological and historical notes, which provide important information about the traditions, folk customs and rituals, as well as about the institutions established in the village – a community center, a church, a cooperative. The text also introduces the personality of Ivan Р. Milev as a visionary of the Bulgarian village in all its diversity – folklore, history and institutions. With the vision that what has been preserved as a written word serves as a gift, a treasure for the next generations, but also as a guiding light for the future and for the preservation of the Bulgarian spirit. "Dobri Dyal (cultural and historical notes)" is presented as a microcosm of the Bulgarian. Through his personal history, the author presents the struggle, the tradition, the memory, the vision for the future of an entire nation. The term political culture involves a wide range of contexts and evokes a different spectrum of ideas, opinions, and definitions. Nowadays, perhaps slightly more than ever, we encounter views and statements that refer to the low level of political culture in our country. Many times, these are declarations that apply not only to specific political parties or politicians, but also to citizens, or even to the entire nation, which is (often by itself) described as having no political culture. And this notion, unfortunately, also harmfully affects the formation of our national identity as such; how we perceive ourselves, what patterns we adopt, and what standards we accept. In our paper, we focus on the culture of the Slovak political communication, while paying special attention to the linguistic utterances of selected representatives of the Slovak political scene. In this context, the language will act as a tool for communication between political representatives themselves, between political officials and citizens, but also as a tool of discussion on politics among people.

According to Mahatma Gandhi, “if you educate a man you educate an individual, but if you educate a woman you educate an entire nation.” India, in spite of having the world’s largest youth population, it has been struggling a lot with the lack of efficient implementation of various policies in the health care system. Since majority of India’s population is still residing in the villages, which have a greater say in the overall development of the nation but they are left untouched most of the times either due to improper implementation of the policies or hindrances in the process of development of health care system. Anganwadi’s are India's backbone in delivering the healthcare that everyone in country can access to it, by focussing on nutritional supplementation, women’s health and so on. This paper is an attempt to shine the light on the impact of the Anganwadi centres in improving the health status of people in the rural areas at grassroot level, focusing especially on women and children’s health and the association between the potential contribution of the Anganwadi workers and the child health indicators. Also, current pandemic influences on the centres were quoted.
