Abstract It is recognized that the objects of the hunting economy are populations of game animals. However, there is no term “population” in current Russian legislation, the undefined expression “hunting resources” is used instead. The monitoring of the hunting resources status is currently limited by regulatory documents only to the analysis of materials based on the winter route census (WRC). This is insufficient to establish the nature of population dynamics, acquire knowledge about population cycles in different populations, and collect the data on the qualitative composition of populations and their changes over time. For hunting providers, simple methods of collecting and processing material on the qualitative composition of populations are offered. They can be carried out both during the hunting season and during the purchase of products from hunters. Systematic observations and analysis of the obtained materials will allow accumulating knowledge about a specific exploited population. Hunting providers should use different methods of registration of hunting animals to monitor exploited populations. To control registration, state game wardens can use the WRC. The state control should proceed from the confidence in the results of the registration work of hunting providers since they are those interested in the long-term use of hunting resources.

This study aims to find and analyze curriculum management in increasing competitive advantage in Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Jadid, Paiton, Probolinggo, East Java. This study uses a qualitative case study approach. The data collection technique is done through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that curriculum management in increasing competitive advantage at Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Jadid was carried out through; 1) planning, which includes analyzing activities for students, processing material content, analyzing learning techniques or methods, documenting learning components, providing motivation to students; 2) Implementation of the planning design that has been determined together by integrating the government curriculum and pesantren; 3) Evaluation of the implementation of the curriculum, both on the process and its outputs and outcomes, with the principle of continuous improvement.

Due to the incidence increase of tuberculosis, there is increasing need for epidemiological surveillance of concomitant pathologies among HIV-infected people. The main goal of the authors is to develop information technologies for collecting and processing material on the incidence of HIV infection and tuberculosis in assessing the risks of contamination of contacts in the foci and the effectiveness of epidemiological response. There are descriptive and evaluative epidemiological research methods, the results of clinical studies at the work. There are also presented the features of clinical aspects of concomitant pathology that affect the risk of developing tuberculosis in contact persons. The work presents optimization of use of databases and standard computer programs, which will make it possible to carry out a comprehensive epidemiological assessment of the risks of contamination of contacts in foci of HIV infection and tuberculosis, to determine belonging of the outbreak to groups of high risk of developing tuberculosis in contact, to determine a wider range of contacts and the boundaries of the outbreak.

Resistant starch (RS) is widely used in the food industry because of its ability to regulate and protect the small intestine, but their distinct effects on the structural and functional properties of waxy and non-waxy proso millet starches are not completely understood. The crystalline structure and physicochemical properties of waxy and non-waxy proso millets’ starch samples were analyzed after heat-moisture treatment (HMT). The analysis revealed significant differences between the RS of waxy and non-waxy proso millets. The crystal type of proso millets’ starch changed from type A to type B + V. The relative crystallinity of the RS of waxy proso millet was better than that of non-waxy proso millet. The gelatinization temperature and thermal stability of RS significantly increased, and the pasting temperature (PTM) of the RS of waxy proso millet was the highest. The water solubility and swelling power of the RS in proso millet decreased, and the viscoelasticity improved. The correlation between the short-range ordered structure of RS and ΔH, and gelatinization properties has a stronger correlation. This study provides practical information for improving the nutritional benefits of waxy and non-waxy proso millet in food applications.

Bamboo scrimber is a kind of artificial processing material with high compressive strength, large size, natural texture, and wide application. It is made by rolling and de-fibering bamboo into a loose reticulate bundle, which is unbroken transversely, and loosely interlaced in the longitudinal direction, followed by drying, gluing, assembling, and hot pressing. In this study, to better understand the application value of bamboo scrimber in construction engineering, the performance of axially compressed solid columns that have been completed with three full-scale solid bamboo scrimber columns of 100 mm width, 100 mm height, and 2000 mm length were subjected to creep tests for 3 months. The specimens J1, J2, and J3 were designed to carry the long-term load of 0.2, 0.4, and 0.6 times the short-term test failure load of the same batch of specimens, respectively. The experimental study found that the bamboo scrimber columns could not bear 0.6 times of the short-term test failure load Pu, and that temperature and humidity greatly influenced creep of the specimens. Finally, a creep constitutive equation was established using a three-parameter model, and the equation matched well with the creep test data.

Business development and increased competition in the main capital-intensive markets have long shown that managing a modern enterprise without automating business processes will inevitably lead to a loss of sales growth and, in the future, the loss of a separate line of business. ERP-systems have become quite widespread in Russia, which are being implemented by a wide range of companies, mainly medium and large, the ultimate goal of such industries is to effectively perform the functions of processing material supplies and managing reserves.

Egg whites of salted duck eggs are normally discarded in the separation of egg yolks. Most of the nutritional values of normal duck eggs are still retained in the egg whites of salted duck eggs. To make use of such egg whites, it is necessary to process the egg whites into a protein-rich powder, which can be used as a food processing material. Nevertheless, long-term storage of the egg white powder is challenging because this powder can easily absorb moisture, resulting in physical deteriorations (e.g: colour change), chemical alternation (e.g., protein and lipid degradation), and biological contamination (e.g., growth of yeasts and molds that produce toxic compounds). A study was conducted to test different types of packaging materials includingone-layered Polyethylene (PE) film, two-layered PE film, and three-layered films (PE, AL-Foil, BOPP/PE, Al/PE, BOPP/Al/PE, PET/Al/PE). The result shows that the most suitable packaging material for the protein-rich powder produced from egg whites of salted duck egg was two-layered AI/PE film. The quality of the product stored in AI/PE film package remained nearly unchanged in 12 months, which proved safe to be used as food processing material.

Lathe Machine can use for several kinds of the process such as turning, drilling, boring, tapering, and threading. The lathe machine process requires some interaction between processing material with the chisel. Time processing that reaches the worn-out limit is likely called chisel life. One of the factors that affected chisel worn-out is the use of coolant. Therefore researched the effect of one of the variable process that is coolant to HSS Carbide worn-out chisel to predict the lifetime of it. This research was conducted three times without using a coolant, using a coolant ratio of 1:30, and using a coolant ratio of 1:40. The spindle speed of the lathe used is 400 rpm. The tool wear was analyzed through measurement with callipers and the help of CorelDraw X7 software. Based on the measurements made, the results showed that the highest tool wear was found in HSS chisels with 1:40 coolant application, which was a reduction of 1.4 mm.

Metal matrix composites (MMCs) are promising alternatives to metallic alloys. Their high strength-to-weight ratios; high temperature stabilities; and unique thermal, electrical, and chemical properties make them suitable for automotive, aerospace, defense, electrical, electronic, energy, biomedical, and other applications. The wide range of potential combinations of materials allows the properties of MMCs to be tailored by manipulating the morphology, size, orientation, and fraction of reinforcement, offering further opportunities for a variety of applications in daily life. This Special Issue, “Metal Matrix Composites”, addresses advances in the material science, processing, material modeling and characterization, performance, and testing of metal matrix composites.
