Effectiveness of 3P Implementation (People, Process, Physical Evidence) And Company Performance At Different Levels Of Complexity And Divergence

The aim of this research is to know the differences of the level of complexity and divergence, the different effektiveness of 3P’s and the performance of two workshops (an authorized service station of motorcycle and an unauthorized one). The techniques used to collect data were: 1) interview, to know the general map of the company, 2) questionaires, to know data of complexity and divergence of the company, scores of perception concerning the effectiveness of 3P’s, 3) documentation, to know the daily total numbers of service within a year. The data analysing techniques used were ; the different percentage test use to know the different of level the complexity and divergence, the U Mann-Whitney Test used to know the different of 3P’s effectiveness and performances. The research found that : 1) there was a different of the level of complexity and divergence between an authorized service station of motorcycle and the unauthorized one. In the level of the different of complexity was 16,67%, the authorized service station has relatively higher level of complexity than unauthorized one. For this level of divergence is 10% and the authorized service station has relatively lower level of divergence than unauthorized one. 2) there was no different of 3P’s effectiveness between both service stations, at the variable people there was no diferent with z=-0,225 (p>0,05) and at the variable process there was no diferent with z=-0,122 (p>0,05) then at the variable physical evidence there was no diferent with z=-0,160 (p>0,05). 3) there was a different performance between an authorized service station and an unauthorized one. As specialy in giving minor service between the authorized service station and the unauthorized one namely z =-6,10 (p<0,05) and for the medium service, z = -6,786 (p<0,05) while for the major service,z = - 6,675 (p<0,05) and for the whole service between the authorized service station and unauthorized one the diferent was z = - 6,675 (p<0,05), but the authorized service station had much higher performance level than the unauthorized one in each service and doing full service.

The Effect of Personal Independence on Entrepreneurial Behavior (Case Study on Clothing Traders in Medan Petisah Market)

This research was conducted with the aim of finding out if there is an influence of personal independence on entrepreneurial behavior in clothing traders Pasar PetisahMedan. The research method used is a descriptive analysis method, and uses a simple linear regression analysis method. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. The population in this study amounted to 69 people with sampling techniques using the purposive random sampling method. Data is processed statistically using spss for windowsprogramtools. The results of this study show that personal independence has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial behavior.

The Effect of Foreign Direct Investment and External Debt on Economic Growth in Indonesia

Indonesia as a development country, has a good economic growth in the 1990's. It shows by increasing of GDP year by year, stabilization of inflation, etc. But since 1997's economic crisis in Asia's countries, Indonesia's economic growth has been declining. It effected the monetary sector and real sector, and add again with progressively the amount of foreign debt of Indonesia, so that effect of Rupiah rate wich progressively weakening. This paper will analyze the foreign direct investment also foreign debt, on the economic growth of Indonesia. By using the OLS model on Indonesia yearly data from 1975-2009 and the confirm the significant of these independent variables as the factors that effected the economic growth of Indonesia. Foreign direct investment and foreing debt represent the way able to be gone through by government in overcoming deficit of national saving utilize to push the national development to get the good economic growth. Corporate social responsibility is an obligation that must be fulfilled by every company so that it can have a good impact on the community in the surrounding environment, PT Syams Arief Shumun is a subsidiary engaged in the processing of oil palm and natural resource processing in Kampar Regency. This company has 3 community-based CSR programs, first, Economic Empowerment. Second, Environmental Empowerment and Third, Social Empowerment. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and data collection through observation, interviews and literature studies related to CSR and community empowerment, informant determination techniques through purposive sampling and data analysis using data triangulation.

Consumer Preference for Product Categories Sold Online and Offline

The research purpose determines that consumers preferences for online and offline shopping at different shopping experience and determine products which choose consumers for online and offline shopping at different shopping experience. The research uses qualitative descriptive analysis obtained from the result of questionnaire through interviews with the respondent based on categories of some profession who have done shopping online or offline in Medan City. The finding of the research shows Mean Ratings of the people choose the shopping attributes such as Enjoy Shopping, Shop Quickly, Large Selection and Best Price by online shopping while the shopping attributes such as See-Touch Handle, Personal Service, Speedy Delivery and No-hassle Exchange by offline shopping. The products such as Airlines Tickets, Clothes, Elektronics Products, Health and Grooming, and other products (Shoes, Bags, Scarfs, Wallets, Accessories, Foods, Movie Vouchers and Underwear) consumers choose by online shopping. In the other hand, the people choose offline shop the products such as Books, CDs, Computer Software and Sporting Goods. The correlation value is 0.937 for the search stages and purchase stages, it means thathas the significant correlation value when the consumers choose the online and offline shopping with value of signification 0.01.

Analysis of United States Propaganda Against North Korea Through The Film The Interview

This research tried to describe the propaganda made by United States against North Korea through a movie entitled The Interview. The movie Interview. The movue despict how the communist state of North Korea is very closed and anti to foreign countries eventually want to do an interview with the president of North Korea. In the film The Interview United States producing films on large-General for the state of North Korea, where the United States and North Korea opposites in many ways, both in terms of economics, ideology, and the perception of the public, even in the use of nuclear weapons. The theory used in this research is to analyze the theory of discourse analysis Norman Fairclough, to understand the views of experts on the analysis of discourse, the concept of propaganda techniques according to the experts to understand the propaganda. By using interviews with respondents drawn by profession, this study uses analysis of the interview, the general condition of the two countries, critical discourse analysis, and examined the scene and its relevance to theories and concepts used. The overall results were obtained that the film is a propaganda film The Interview United States against North Korea, one of the film's release purpose is to divert North Korea at the same time prevent North Korea did not attack the United States with nuclear weapons.

Indonesia's Efforts in Resolving South China Sea Conflict

This research tries to explain Indonesia’s effort in the South China Sea conflict resolution process. The South China Sea conflict can lead to regional instability. Indonesia can’t directly resolve the conflict because Indonesia is not a claimaint state. But, Indonesia can encourage claimant states to resolve their conflicts peacefully. As the largest country in ASEAN, Indonesia has an obligation to maintain the stability of the region. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection technique through interview and literature study. The results concluded that Indonesia's efforts in establishing the situation through confidence buiding measures and cooperation has been able to dampen the source of conflict and keep the region stable. Indonesia has managed conflict even though it is still very far from the possibility of conflict resolution.
