The variety of problem conditions and the specific dynamics of college student demographics demands a holistic measurement. Various measurements to reveal the attributes of students' problems have been developed in Indonesia, but they are not optimal because they are still partial. Even though a holistic measurement tool has been developed, its effectiveness is still a matter of debate, especially in measuring instrument duration and the number of items that are too large. The development of the Zadrian-Ifdil Problem Checklist (ZIPC) measuring instrument aims to obtain an effective and efficient measuring tool in identifying problems experienced by students daily. This study consists of three phases: item development, testing, validation, and item revision. The sample involved in this study were 639 people spread all over Indonesia. Analysis and validation of measuring tools using the Rasch model approach. The development and validation results revealed that the student version of ZIP-C was reliable and valid to reveal daily personal problems in 8 variables of problem conditions and 50 items. This measuring tool can be used for research purposes and practice services and mental health interventions by professionals.

This paper presents the design of a buck converter circuit with different input switching frequency by using Matlab Simulink software. This study focuses on defining the suitable value of the inductor and capacitor to be used in the buck converter with 100VDC supply input, where the input switching frequency is use 5kHz and 25kHz. This is because the input switching frequency of a buck converter affects many aspects of circuit functionality. This design of the circuit used 20% of the duty cycle, and inductor value is 25% of Lmin to ensure the operation is in continuous current mode. The evaluation of inductor current and switching frequency used in the circuit and parameters for this analysis based on the output voltage, inductor voltage and inductor current waveform. The design of the circuit verified by simulation and results compared with the theoretical. In addition, the appropriate input switching frequency between 5kHz and 25kHz has been determined in order to use in the buck converter circuit for 100Ω resistive load.

Photovoltaic cells in solar is an electrical device that converts the energy of light directly into electricity by the photovoltaic effect.  In this work, series and parallel arrangement of the photovoltaic cells in solar system were investigated over a range of voltage, current and power. The data obtained were statistically analyzed to predict the optimal energy conservation of photovoltaic cells and finally experiments were conducted for verification.  The experiment designed is to observe the output current in both series and parallel PV cells arrangement with the output current of the three sets of photovoltaic cells (PV), with a minimum input supply of 18.7V DC and 8.82A respectively. Digital multimeter and current clamp meter are the main instruments used to measure the parameters in the experiment. The parameters for the circuit are analyzed based on the voltage, current, power and the efficiency of the system. Indeed, the output current and voltage for both arrangements were able to be used to derive the efficiency of the system and showed good agreement with the results from the preliminary observation.  It is shown that the efficiency of parallel arrangement is higher compare to the series. Therefore, considerable investigation towards the types of arrangements is of great importance since it can determine the better system efficiency when there are any faulty panels

The aim of the study is to investigate the potential use of water treatment sludge in brick properties as building material. The sludge was collected from water treatment plant and the percentages used in the mixes were 3%, 5%, 7%, 10% 15%, 20%, 40%, and 60% by weight of sand in brick. The specimen without sludge was prepared for comparison. The testing involved chemical analysis of sludges using energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (ED-XRF) technique. Testing of compressive strength was done for hardened state properties. The samples were cured at 7 and 28 days, and the average of three samples of brick samples was measured. The results revealed that the waste sludges had higher components of Zn, Cu, Pb, and As, which was trace element concentrations in the dry sludge samples. Comparisons in terms of strength were made from the control and brick containing sludge specimens. It was observed that sludge in brick performed better when mixed with 5% as partial replacement of sand. However, the more the addition of percentages of sludge in brick, the lesser the strength observed. It can be concluded that waste treatment sludge as a result from the process of water treatment can be utilized as partial replacement of sand in brick production.
